@@sassysandie2865. How big and sweet is your smoothie?
Probably is too much carb loading in one feeding….would you want to take the time to sit and individually chew every piece of fruit/veggie that you pulse into that smoothie? The aeration of the ingredients also might be problematic.
It’s a giant load….if it does NOT give you any gastric distress ( gas , belching, or bloating) then maybe it’s ok for you? If you’re getting any distress it’s probably too much carbs at once.

There's no one-size-fits-all with diet and nutrition. I don't tolerate carbs OR plants. I went low carb, high fat carnivore over 2 1/2 years ago as a last resort, and after much reservation, in an attempt to end years of horrible mental AND physical suffering. It turned out to be the answer for me. I absolutely thrive eating nothing but meat, fish, and eggs. When I try and reintroduce vegetables and/or carbs I get a return of symptoms. I would list out everything that was wrong with me, what I tried before carnivore, and which things resolved on carnivore (pretty much everything), but it would be WAY too long. Just know that I was suffering so badly that I used to wish I just wouldn't wake up in the morning, and now I look forward to every day. I feel better at 52 than I have since my late 20s.
Is this how everyone should eat? No. Is it how some people should eat? Absolutely. We all have to be our own N+1 and find out what works best for us.

Kudos to you for encouraging a balanced diet. Kudos to you to support carbs. Ppl dont understand that carbs are converted to energy/fuel to move our bodies. The problem is, we dont move enough to burn the carbs and it can get converted into stored fat. There is a balance of food we should eat, and yes, some are better than others, but ultimately, a food in its most natural state w/o all the additives is good for us.

In January I started a very low carb keto diet. My main veggies are green leafy, brussels, broccoli, and cauliflower. Pretty much no fruits. I did lose 20 pounds by end of March but I have been on a plateau for a few weeks now. I also exercise several times weekly cardio and weight training. I am now wondering if my "lack" of colorful veggies are contributing to my weight not budging, I currently weight 170 and I am 5'3.5". I would like to get to 150 ultimately! Help!

Thanks for writing in and great question! Eden Organics is a brand that has them ready to consume out of a can. It's not the end of the world if you have to eat them without pressure-cooking but if you remember, you can try soaking them overnight the night before, as a way to produce similar results. Best of luck!

You can still eat healthy with a limited budget.
If you cook from scratch and
stop buying / eating ultra processed food you will already save a lot and improve the quality of your meals a lot.
You can buy food in bulk / cans or frozen.
And you don’t need to eat meat everyday: veggie meals cost less.
I’m experimenting with tofu,. If you grate it and then bake in the oven then put a sauce on it (Asian / Korean style) you can then make a “poke bowl” with rice + sautéed pakchoi + grated carrots or cucumber.
You can also make a veggie chili or bolognese with lots of veggies and lentils.
You can also make big salads (veggies = volume = not a lot of calories) with a little bit of meat or bacon for the taste.
Change your paradigm: veggies first and meat as extra on the site (vs meat as the central piece of the meal).
Change is always difficult with kids : alternate new recipes with proven ones.
You can also use lentils to “extend” the meat. I made balls with 60% grounded chicken and 40% cooked lentils. It costs less / you get more fiber / less calories (lentils have 60 kcal per 100gr vs 120 kcal for chicken breasts)/ it goes unnoticed 😂 especially in a tomato sauce.
Of course sauce and seasoning are important

No way 😊 I don’t eat organic. Wash well. Buy frozen! check out the frozen section, with fruit sometimes organic is cheaper. Eggs can be cheaper at farmers markets . But if you can’t do that then don’t do organic. I cannot help with meats because I don’t eat much at all. I eat more tofu. Get sourdough bread if you can’t do Ezekiel bread. It’s 6-7$ so I do sourdough if I eat bread at all. Hope this helps 💁🏻‍♀️

    • @patriciacosyleon2774

Yes it’s expensive. However, what I swapped out to afford it was go longer without a haircut, no false nails, no alcohol, plus really looking at what is more important. Fast food is expensive and terrible. I was there with a large family. Many other things to look at that are not necessary which I did not list. It can be done.

You won't get sick with some good carbs since you probably have been a skinny man without women hormones. Women who are overweight and get over 40 gets hormones problems that makes them insulin resistance, so carbs ruins everything, maybe room for 20g carbs but I see it in my CGM how bad it can get.

    • @FitMotherProject
      @FitMotherProject  2 месяца назад

Long-grain white rice doesn't increase blood sugar as much as traditional white rice. However, brown rice may be even less with its fiber content. However from a cleanliness POV, long-grain white may be better so it all depends what you are trying to get out of the carb. But all on this list can help keep blood sugar from spiking too much!
