Regarding Pan, I can totally buy a simple explanation is that she forgot or did it before without thinking.
For example, real human babies will instinctually kick in water to try and swim. So swimming would seemingly be something natural for people to do, but lots of people don't know how to swim and later in life can't swim.
Not the same, but it makes plenty of sense.

That’s what I was thinking. Gohan flew when he charged at Raditz and when he fell from the waterfall and ended up on a branch way above it and even he didn’t know how got there. But didn’t fully learn until training with piccolo

Also really happy for Dende, seems like this ability to upgrade Shenron is a new kind of power up for Dende. He may not be able to unlock Piccolo potential yet at his age, but he's already become skilled enough to enhance Shenron to a point where Shenron could perform the feat and throw in some extra on top of it. Really nice for Dende!

Oh snap couldn't Vegeta purpose use diffusion to separate piccolo Kame and nail.. restore Kame to his prime and all 3 go into the time chamber and train and fuse again to produce a Super Namek
Gohan said in episode 90 he wanted a "Ultimate form no one has ever seen before" so this was definitely foreshadowed in the anime.

Toriyama surprised the heck out of everyone with the double transformation for piccolo! We know he didn't have to do that but, Toriyama is a fucking legend for throwing this extra stuff in. That's almost like Shenron granting a 4th extra wish just for piccolo. Been saying it, piccolo is truly special
i have a theory on this, piccolo has kami inside of him, and shenron was born because of kami, i have a feeling it was a respect thing to kami and a thank you to him for reviving him after king piccolo killed him, it also doesnt hurt that piccolo never wishes for anything unlike the others

@@gensteps923 this is toriyama we're talking about. at this point blue and all of the previous forms are no longer relevant. they are just there to sell more toys. the same toriyama forgot about ssj2 and ssj3 and forgot pan flew as a baby in super.
The reason Vegeta won the fight against Goku is probably because Vegeta meditated before his sparring match with Goku which would explain why he had the upper hand against Goku because he was fighting like Jiren and not making any unnecessary movements.

Pan flew as a baby, most likely instinctual so she wouldn't know/remember how to do it on command probably as she grew older. Even if she knew how to fly she'd have to know how to fly well/correctly.
Yes thank you. Everyone is so up in arms that Pan is learning to fly in the movie. She flew once as a damn baby out of instinct. Do you remember anything from when you were a baby? No. No one does. It makes perfect sense to me that she would need to still technically learn how to fly.

yeah i don't understand how this is controversial. i mean look at Kid Gohan, he didn't know how to do shit except when he was put in situations where instinct took over. Pretty obvious Pan flying as a baby wasn't her intentionally flying and this movie scene was the first time she consciously used her powers to fly.
Even at the end of Z pan was training by flying all around the world. Plus she's still a kid
not in the manga.

That was actually my philosiphy regarding spoilers my whole life. Who cares if you accidentally saw something major. You won't know what that event is about until you see it and experience it for yourself. Big difference.
But that still means you have to be mindful of people who don't think like that and would rather take the expdrience completely blind with no exceptions.
I honestly wish we could avoid spoilers for the movie but that’s not the culture anymore. But given that it’ll be impossible to avoid, I’d rather have this from a source I trust like you.

I just call it “Super Saiyan Kai” and not to mention all Kais have white hair. So to me it fits since Gohan got his power from the elder kai.

As we know a Kai, a GoDestruction and a Angel are connected.
It's not powerful enough to be Divine Ultimate.
Ultimate is 100% of Gohan's Potential, and 100% of Gohan's Potential as a God would easily disintegrate Cell Max.
But it could be Divine Power that Gohan is learning to tap into

Besides, Pan not knowing how to fly, everything else in this story seems really spot on. I love Goku and Vegeta taking a back seat for this movie. This was very much needed.
Her having to fly in this movie isn't even weird. It could easily be explained just that she did it as a kid without thinking, and now when she actually tries it she gotta learn it from the ground up.

This spoiler video really just made me way more excited to watch this movie. Animation and art direction really seems like it’s top notch! Was worried in the beginning when we got that first trailer, but the hype train is real! As for the story I’m glad to see Piccolo and Gohan shine! @@planetmac8586 that’s what I’m saying. Everyone knows the Dragon Ball series isn’t known for its story. Most of us are here because of nostalgia reasons but we love it for what it is and buff dudes beating the shit out of each other.

To be honest, that move became useless the moment he hit Perfect Cell and it didn’t even cut him in half. And there was that Kid Buu filler where he actually did hit him but then he just rebuilds himself.
the pan thing doesn’t bug me. a lot of infants understand how to hold their breath underwater soon after birth bc they retain their placental instincts. That trait is lost if not reminded with a few pool sessions as they progress into a toddler. It also makes sense from a child standpoint. Many of us don’t remember anything as a baby. Something we did as a baby on accident is a lot harder to do when consciousness is maintained and trying to learn it as a permanent skill.
Toriyama did not forget as he uses the manga version when making these movies. Why do you think SSBK and SSBE weren’t in the Broly movie? They aren’t in the manga and neither is Pan flying. So it still makes sense.
Yes it’s infamous that Toriyama forgets things but not everything can be explained by ‘Oh he forgot’ -_-

@@secoTheSonicFan It's Toei's Fault, that episode of Pan flying was a filler episode as simple as that, not all the anime is cannon.
I think her not being able to fly is fine. She flew as a baby but people certainly do not - often - remember being infants. It could easily have been an unconscious thing she did rather than a deliberate skill she "learned" so early.
Now that she is a small child she's got her conscious self aware mind to deal with and that is very much something that can affect Ki usage.
Becoming a self aware individual with all of the ego and fearfulness that comes with that I can see how it would set a person back in this context.

I think the pan flying thing can be excused(in your own head canon). Kind of how like some babies can swim naturally when first born but then forget when they become 5-6 start to mature more and need to learn again.

Vegeta’s meditating and learning to clear his mind to fight quicker is a lot better of an arc than him using Ultra Ego in my opinion I am down for that

But Vegeta himself learning how to clear his thoughts since Whis told him that’s his biggest hurdle as a fighter is actually cool to me. If they put this lesson before Ultra Ego i think this would’ve worked a lot better

Cell MAX seems like a missed opportunity. The most memorable thing about cell was his personality, so I don't get why they took the bio Broly route

Personally I don’t have an issue with Pan not knowing how to fly. It was pretty common for Gohan to be able to do things as a child without realizing how he did it. The only big difference was Gohan was always put into life or death situations to activate his hidden abilities. So it kinda makes sense that pan flys when she’s put into a same situation.

I was hoping to have a part of cell max live so they can bring him back on a later arc. But still this is sounding to be the comeback of Gohan we’ve been hoping for, for years!
It would have been cool. But this cell is different. He's completely machine from what I saw when gamma 2 breaks his arm.
My favorite joke in this is when Piccolo is flying the Red Ribbon jet after he takes Pan, and he tells her that he never got his license. Great callback to a fan-favorite episode on so many levels!
I can’t wait for this movie to released in America. I can’t wait to see Piccolo, Pan, and Gohan shine in this film. I also love how Piccolo just kidnaps Pan not in a hostile way but let’s her know about how this is the plan to spring Gohan into action and get his fighting sprint back.

@@jadescorner facts! That arc really made me stick with Super overall. Tournament of power was cool but I needed goku to get stabbed in the chest and begets getting wrecked!!!! And honestly black won for minute. Which is rare in dragon ball

The universe survival saga is amazing. Jiren and Hit are the best newcomers to Dragon Ball past Z
There’s only one explanation in regards gohans power up, he is a mutant like broli, just put this in perspective with almost no training he might reach Gokus blue form in terms of power, to me that means Gohan is a mutant too, pretty amazing 🤩

I've given a lot of thought to Gohan and his ultimate form. How it applies and how it functions. As we know it utilizes magic to draw out all.of his potential including the potential contained within SSJ and SSJ2. That to transform would cause no change and Gohan as a base should retain all this power. Hey this is not the case in Super. His power degraded from lack of use. Leading into my own theory that his full potential was never truly unlocked by the elder Kaioshin. Instead he was left off early as time was of the essence and he likely had enough power drawn out so the old Kai hoped. And because he used magic to draw out his potential like this. It lead to a degradation of his power from lack of use. As his power is intrinsicly tied to this magic. Instead the magic began to lie dormant and require him to push past his own limits and reach within himself to reach it. His training for the ToP involved meditation in the anime. The same means of regaining his power.
What this all means is Gohan's ultimate form is tied to his current forms.and brings him above it. But his full potential is not yet reached. More over Saiyans still have more transformations and the magic is not tied to it. What we're seeing is likely the same as MUI or UE. How a Saiyan fully adapts to power by transformation. So my long ramble is me suggesting his new form is Gohan fully tapping into the magic.and drawing out his potential through transformation. Goku transforming through the power of the angels. Vegeta the power of destruction. Gohan the transformation of Kaioshin. And yes the magic came from an old witch but I like to think Old Kai put his own spin on it.
I think its full potential in his ultimate form has the capability of increasing as he increases overtime. I also think that him and the other Sands that were part of the five that helped Goku all have access to God power eventually. I believe this is Gohan tapping into his God transformation but because of his ultimate form and the fact that he is half human it is a completely different experience than what Vegeta and Goku go through.
@@Solo-Skywalker That's an interesting theory. I hadn't considered the ritual impacting the others possibly in terms of God ki. That actually bolsters my theory slightly.
@@Solo-Skywalker this definitely is not Ultimate Godhan. 100% of Gohan's Potential as a god would completely disintegrate Cell Max without a trace, probably just a casual ki blast of it.
But, this may indeed be Gohan awakening God Ki and utilizing it independently.
@@priestesslucy3299 I'm betting money this is Gohan tapping into the God Ki which in return while in his ultimate form would be pulling that form because it pulls from his max potential of everything he is capable of in that current state and time. I believe the red eyes are in nod to the god Ki

But either Gohan doesn't currently know how to combine them and he is using the God Ki independently here, or the writers decided they can't work together.
The power described of Final Gohan is big, but it just doesn't mesh with Divine Ultimate.

As a Vegeta fanboy I’m actually well happy even if his part in the movie is so short, my boy got that good character development learning to focus not just on that raw strength power learning from watching Jiren during ToP, and then gettin the final knockdown on Goku at the end, let’s goooo 😂
And it shows the Moro and granolah arcs don’t happen in the anime/movie storyline as they still operate off Jiren’s power and not Moro or granolah.

@@Max-zg6ld no it’s not bud lol. This movie takes place 1 year before end of Z. In the manga the Moro and granolah arcs are back to back with no time between. And they happen almost right after the TOP arc. This movie shows years have passed, as well as pan being 3 in this movie and 4 in end of Z which is still canon. And we see goten and trunks being a lot older. In the manga, they’re still close to their kid ages.

This movie is a direct sequel to dbs superhero and just like dbs Broly, is canon to the anime only. Those arcs are manga only and are separate from the anime/movies as stated by akira.

I like the confirmation that Jiren wasn't even all powerful, it was his skill and patience. This puts Broly in a new light of power above him.
No one seems to be talking about that. I like that too. It’s not his power that made him an exceptional opponent but his mind and discipline. Jiren fanboys are still going to try and rank him above broly somehow through.

Jiren had been hyped in media because of his power. Nerfing him nerfs belmod and potentialy rest G. O.D. with exception of beerus. But yes, it confirms he was weaker than broly.

I always felt that Pan flying as a baby was just a natural reflex that was instinctual instead of something she knew how to do because her mind was more clear as a child....
It’s still like forgetting how to walk to me you know what I mean? Walking becomes instinct for humans once they learn it because as a child you internalize that you can get from point A to point B faster if you walk instead of crawl, it would be the same thing with flying. A baby who wants to get somewhere quicker and is unaware of how big of a deal flying is would just fly to her destination rather than walk.

@@easydubs420 disregarding the fact that trunks is more Saiyan than pan. Gohan is significantly stronger than cell saga vegeta. And we know that the stronger the saiyan is at conception the stronger the kid is to start. Which is why goten went ssj so easily. So I’m willing to buy baby pan flying instinctively
Just a good guess… Gohan’s new red eyes come from the ape transformation, meaning his saiyan side being infused with his ultimate human form. I wouldn’t be surprised if they also added a hint of God Power since he’s faced off against SSJG Blue/Kaioken Goku in Super.
That didn't happen in the movies. Movie, anime and manga are all separate. Goku and vegeta don't have ssb kaioken or ssb evolution in movies or manga. They have controlled blue. Ultra ego isn't in the movies but is in the manga.
