Elec does NOT want power, he wants information, knowledge, and money, and he knows that Gas is the strongest of them, and that he is going to die, and he also knows that the rest of them, Maki, Oil, and himself, are no match for the likes of Goku, Vegeta, and Granola, so if Gas dies then where does that leave them, because they would be screwed.

Remember, only the WEAKEST Universe's participated in the Tournament of Power. Gas may be the strongest mortal of any of the Universe's we've seen thus far, but that doesn't include warriors from the Universes we've yet to see with higher mortal ranks. What's more is that, this is Dragonball. There will always be a stronger adversary just around the corner.
Also, it's already been exolqimed how Bardock ties into this over the course of several chapters.

I'm a Dragon ball first fiction fan but I remember when Toyotarou was Toyble his fan manga was phenomenal so when he got the actual job it was great to hear an actual fan who has talent but most of all love for the creation. it's a perfect union. That same very thing happened for the OPM manga and that kind of thing should be encouraged so our beloved stories and characters stay in the hands of the fans in a way as the generations change

I think this arc will be better when it's finished and we're able to read all of the volumes at once. I will say, the back and forth is tiresome but I think Gas will end up dying the next time he's surpassed and is forced to power up. Wonder if Elec will already have escaped by then

Saiyan's use emotion for power. I don't remember where I seen it but back in the Z era there was a interview where I think toryamma mentioned that Goten could tap into ssj because hybrids could use their emotions (Saiyans were always pretty emotionless).
So they established that bardock found some power up through his emotions (if I'm right then now it makes sense that he got a random power up as emotions have been a theme in db since Gohan existed) and Goku having learned that used UI omens weakness of not being 100% focused to channel his emotions aka power

I could see an ending where the durability of ultra ego ends up winning the fight. If vegeta gets in gas' head enough by eating everything thrown at him with a smirk on his face that could get gas to power up further. Then gas would put so much energy into an attack to utterly eviscerate vegeta that it drains him of all his energy

Makes no sense. Granolah's wish made him strongest AT THAT TIME, because of the way the wish was phrased. Gas' wish seems to keep him strongest at all times, which is why he ages so rapidly.
Sounds like they're falling back on what Whis said at the beginning of the arc when he mentioned levels of ultra instinct. He mentioned how the angels are always in ultra instinct.

This is giving me Moro vibes. Goku is gonna ascend his UI Omen into something crazy at the end of this chapter going into the next. My guess is because the official site says “With no more techniques up his sleeve, is Goku destined to lose to Gas?!” And we seen he was destined to lose against Jiren before absorbing the spirit bomb and gaining UI
He didnt absorbe the spirit bomb in the manga. That was the anime
Goku never absorbed the spirit bomb at all.
The force of the blast and Goku using everything he had to resist that force pushed Goku’s drained body to those new levels of subconscious power. Aka UI

@@garretttarlton2038 Unfortunately that isn't what MUI was demonstrated and introduced as. It was all about calming everything down in order to tap into something deeper, aka MUI. The Angel wielding end all ability isn't supposed to have much emotion at all. Sure that doesn't look cool on screen compared to rage and what not, but they are changing what they intended the form/ability to be in the 1st place.

I feel like Omen is the uncontrolled version when he starts to tap in, but this is something he deliberately uses so new form may make a little more sense.
They're really trying to make goku at the end of z using Mastered emotions UI against Oob. Maybe this time pan will be trained by goku and piccolo and stop off at old kais for a sweet power boost
I really want Gronolah to kill Elec so he can avenge his mother (even tho I'm pretty sure Vegeta had a whole speech to Gronolah about holding grudges against people).
It's the Saiyan version of ultra instinct basically Goku's own ultra instinct not the technique of the angels if that makes since
Chapter 86: Goku gets his ass whooped.
Chapter 87: Vegeta returns stronger with Ultra Ego.
Chapter 88: Gas burns more fuel and Vegeta gets his ass whooped.
Chapter 89: Goku returns now stronger with MUI which requires Gas to burn more fuel
Chapter 90: The conclusion of the Arc. MUI Goku and UE Vegeta attack Gas with all their combined power and Gas burns through the last of his fuel and dies. Granolah kills the rest of the Heeters and makes peace with Goku and Vegeta and they all lived happily ever after.
That is until the next villain shows up!

Gas new appearance looks like a reference to Moro's old form in the beginning of the saga. Both having the horn appendages on the side of their heads.
I still want to see a triple fatality. Gas just barely manages to finish off Goku and Vegeta before succumbing to the effects of his new form. Leaving Granolah as the sole Survivor, just as the arc title has been foreshadowing.

Law and Order Theme: [Dun Dun]
*Gas is a distraction*, Elec wants "something" from the one who knows all. Elec is not dumb, I would argue he is more cunningly than Moro, Elec has a plan. Elec wants something "above" strongest above the U7 strongest above mortals. Elec without a backstory, likely wants control.
The panels at 3:45 remind me of when Frieza raised Krillin up in the air before he blew him up on Namek.
The idea of burning his cells as fuel basically confirms that Gas is sacrificing his longevity for power. The way to explain this with an irl analog is that Gas is consuming the telomeres in his dna, which are long repetitions of noncoding nucleotides at the ends of chromosomes that shield against genetic damage after every cellular division, and the losing of these buffers is considered a primary cause of aging irl.
So essentially Gas is tearing apart the ends of his physical genome and burning those raw nutrients for more power at will, but at the expense and risk of causing genetic damage to himself. The trick now to beating "Bad Gas" is to force him to consume all his telomeres and start destroying his own functional genes as he becomes an "Old Fart" and kills himself by over aging.

For me, Goku's new form started to make sense now: he mastered UI and honed his whole being (i.e. his body, his mind, and his heart) in order to discover this new _ceiling_ before making this new adjustment, of allowing his own emotions to guide him. Without those, he would've been too dethatched from his own nature, as he is after all a mere mortal, and not a devine deity. So in that sense, he didn't revert back in to 'UI omen' that we saw earlier just because it *looks* the same. The only tricky part of how it was presented that I struggled with after I read the chapter 85, is that again, Goku says to Gas that 'he doesn't have much time', meaning that despite this being an 'inferior' form to the MUI (as even Gas pointed out), he will still struggle with maintaining it if the fight drags for too long. What the readers need to understand from it and unpack themselves (if they are as clueless as Gas is at that moment), is that 1) only *after* completing his training, he is able to now make a conscious decision how to develop this technique further; and 2) The facts about his father, his race, and consequently himself, must remind him of his mortality, which is on hand a limitation, but on the other hand it is also where he can draw his motivation and wisdom. So what we saw, and the reason he said that he doesn't have much time, means simply, that he just made the first steps on his new path.
He's realized he is still a rookie with the UI techniques, he may now be able to go to silver hair UI at will but it's not mastered. He'd rather stay within his comfort zone and not force UI, I think he knows in combat it's better to tap into UI, that is all levels of UI organically, as he pushes. not force it or use it like a weapon, on demand like other techniques, or he will be inefficient and be worse off, and it will bite I'm in the a**
Take a step back and "master" omen form before forcing silver hair form, he will still hit his eureka moments and go into silver hair form when he's in the moment like in Top and absolutely dominate, but not on purpose, not yet
I am wanting this arc to just end. LoL.

I believe Toyotaro is trying to implement his AF idea about the super Saiyan forms but instead uses it for UI, because it seems like UI has now a variation for power and one for speed.

I see it as ultra instinct super saiyan style, before, goke was just trying to do what whis is telling him to do, react without thinking, body moves on instinct, so vegeta tells goku to use ultra instinct his own, unique way. I see what vegeta is saying, kind of like saying whis is an angel, dont use that technique like angels use, use ultra instinct that way you a saiyan/goku would use it, adapt it your own way

Ok this is my take this new ultra
Instinct I believe what’s happening here is Goku is now starting to use ultra in his own way that is more efficient and far less taxing on his bodies stamina to not only maintain the stronger harder to wield angelic form but also is much easier to keep the dodge hack that UI gives the user because when you are not at a perfect angelic zen state of mind your timing with the dodge ability becomes off and slips so to speak with this new use of form that doesn’t happen and he can now maximize his stamina and power lv Drastically in this state although I still am strongly in belief that the silver hair form is Much Stronger then the omen form mortals naturally cannot master it like angels hence fighting this in this new form will be more effective oh yeah plus gokus has been receiving zenkias throughout all these fights

I like the long drawn out fighting honestly makes Gas feel like a competent bad guy.
I don't see this chapter's use UI omen as being a new version of it rather Goku is realizing this new tidbit of how he can optimally use UI in the omen from aka in combination with his emotions. Like Whis said, although Goku may have the ability to use UI completely technically speaking, he's at the bottom of the ladder in terms of skill at it. Now after he has realized this new detail about how he can make more use of his omen stage of UI, I think he has made some progress in his climb up the UI skill level ladder.

I think Goku's new "UI," is the same thing he did when he fought limit breaker jiren in the anime. His UI got stronger thinking about his friends (friendship power up) and he got a rage boots after that when jiren tried to kill them.
The only difference is he using omen with the emotional boots instead of mui

Actually it's pretty much what it's implied to be. Think about it bardock was shown using emotion to get stronger --) Goku is using emotion to get stronger. He has to use omen because it's easier to control. MUI requires a calm mind in his own words so if he tried to get angry after activating it he'd probably lose control of it.
The difference between this and vs Jiren is his body activated MUI instinctively so he didn't have to worry at all about being calm. All this makes perfect sense
I think the new "UI" is just proof that they never had a plan for the transformation, never plotted out what it does effectively, and are making shit up as they go.
This is a theory. What is Elec turns on Gas and us 73 ability to steal Gas power at his strongest and this is why he keeps pushing Gas. And then when everyone is beaten and bruised and it looks like Elec is boutta kill our hero’s, frieza finally comes.
He’s using his own cells as fuel like Superman does to breath in space by using the oxygen stored in his cells…..

It’s been too long for me to remember so I’m gonna go back and reread the beginning of the arc but did they just get one 73 or the entire ship full?
It might be the same Ui state of ep 110 dbs remember he was striking and blocking at the same time but when he fought kafula he was on defensive and also in ep 129 he was in defensive mode as well now i think goku found a way to main that first Ui transformation that he pulled off in ep 110 according to my POV
