I used to know this but been off obs for a couple of years. I was not looking forward to the headache of relearning but your instructions were quick and to the point. Made me feel silly about the struggles I had in the past. Great vid.
Glad I was able to help ya out!
This is the only video on this subject that ACTUALLY WORKS. Thanks bro!

Great video! Thanks for all your help with your recent uploads.
youre welcome :)
Yoo nice vid man. Wasn't complicated at all I just followed what you did and got it set up no problem 💪
Glad I was able to help out!
what is the function of the streamfx plugin?
how to auto delete old file instant replay? for example if you have more than 1 files instant replay, then you want to old files is deleted so it will get more space if you streaming for a long time
I can get ya fixed up it's a common mistake made setting this up.
So this may sound confusing... but do your best....
FIRST - In settings >> advanced >> remove any file formatting (otherwise OBS date/time stamps each file, which will then be different than your scene file and the replay will not work)
NEXT - insert a unique prefix for your replay files, as your folder will contain lots of files, and this makes it easy to find, and easy to setup your instant replay scene.
THEN - create one replay file by using the buttons and save an instance you can find.
NOW - go into your instant replay scene and set the media source file to this new file
Hello, thank you for the guide. Unfortunately, something doesn't quite work out for me because after creating a replay, the file I selected in the source is always played (it doesn't automatically replace it with a new one) - I don't know why (I still have the same replay)

I try tomorrow
@@GenXTech The problem was definitely the formatting, after deleting it it started working, but now the file is overwritten every time (so there is only one file in the directory), and you mention that there should be many of them. The overwrite file option is inactive. Hmmmm.
@GenXTech at 6:09, you select a file that has a defined date and time - how does it then replace subsequent replays?
Hey! I love the video. However, I was wondering if you could suggest a fix for me. Everything, is working fine but for some reason when I go to show the instant replay, the new recording isn’t showing at all
Try running the steps one more time to see what you missed. You can always join my discord if you need further help.
@@GenXTech Hey! I done it 3x. Is there another fix or something you can help me with?
Hi! Is there a way to do the instant replay with this method but on slow mo?
Im pretty sure you can adjust the replay speed
I dont get the Start Replay buffer button in obs? What am i doing wrong?
If you´ve got the Start replay buffer missing, you need to activate it first.
Go to OBS Settings >> Output >> Make sure you´re in the ADVANCED option >> Replay Buffer Tab >> Check "Enable replay buffer" checkbox. Use 10s as standard time, or adjust it as you need (you´ll need more RAM for more time)
good job team OBS
😎
My replay is setup and i am able to view it in OBS. The problem is i keep seeing the same replay clip, no matter how many i capture. I have a replay scene and a main viewing scene. The replay scene has the replay media source. Then in the main viewing scene i have added as a source the replay scene. What step have i missed so that my replay source plays the latest saved replay instead of getting stuck on the one replay added manually? Your help will be appreciated.
Have you tried running the steps again to see which step you missed?
@@GenXTech Don't seem to find the step or setting i missed, but for now i have just killed off the record formatting, so that each replay i save simply replaces the one before it with the same name. Somehow, the media source will pick this available replay. It cures the problem of replaying the same saved file, though now i have no history of the recorded replays. THANKS FOR FEEDBACK.
@@luvaletvplease tell me how you turned this off?
I got a same problem did you find any solution i ma looking for week to find problem but cant do it
