Man as a professional who worked on television, A/V agencies and at communications department in the industry I gotta say: You resumed every skill and editing technique that the broadcasting industry uses for both visual and sound appeal. It took me a lot of years and an insane amount of editing time to learn those things organically. There is a huge amount of valuable information in your content, and that impressed me. For me, the glowing highlights, animation on static things and sound design on both SFX and music are the most attention hooking things and I put a lot of effort on sound and cut timming while editing. Amazing video bro!
Hey crew, any tips for small channels trying to break through when the big players have tools like sem rush and social plus boosting their visibility? Feels like we’re hitting a wall. Sending good vibes to everyone, and if you can, a sub would mean A LOT !!
I stumbled randomly on your channel and have to say you are very, very good at editing, explaining, and overall video directing. You have a bright future ahead of you, i wouldnt be surprised seeing your name as a director in a big movie studio in some years ... if you arent making a studio yourself. Very impressed, congrats.
Great video! You mentioned almost everything I wanted to hear in this video. A few more tips that came to my mind: 1. If you use the same sound effect multiple times in quick succession, give each one of them a slightly different pitch. Makes it sound much more natural since no real sound is ever exactly the same. 2. When you want to switch between two shots where the focus is very far apart, you can use transitions to more smoothly guide the viewers attention from one point to the other. 3. Music Stems (14:04) are extremely useful and I just want to highlight it a bit more. Take the drums out and it'll sound more relaxed. Take the melody out and it'll sound more focused. Mixing and matching the stems can allow you to create multiple emotions with the same song and allow you to transition between songs much easier. Just to give you some examples. 4. The intro is where you need to show the "unique value" your video provides. Put 10 times more effort into the intro to prove to the viewer that the video is worth their time. What that unique value is depends on your content. For filmmakers that could be an amazing shot. For gamers that could be clips which showcase high-skill gameplay. 5. Avoid clear patterns and add variety. If your editing is predictable it's less interesting. If you're editing is fast-paced for a bit, maybe add a slower section. Use multiple music genres and explore different emotions. Watching a 10 minute video that has the same style of editing throughout can be hard to watch. By changing it up, you re-stimulate the viewer and can tell a good story much more easily.

As a filmmaker, what is important is also knowing where not to introduce noise or not to cut, but even if there is silence or only certain noise that stands out at the expense of others, there should be a reason for that.
I love how he abruptly ended the video at the end. At first, I was like, oh well he messed up there, but immediately I realized he probably did that as a teaching experience to get the viewer trying to learn editing on what not to do. I could be wrong but that's what I took from it. Awesome video here bro.
As a seasoned editor the last 10+ years, watching this video really helped me revisit and re-ignite certain aspects of my editing I lost sight of going through the motions for so long in my career; it jumps me awake and makes me think again in 2024 for fresh style and technique. You also hit tons of important editing 101 stuff - good job. Thanks for making this.
Thank you for sharing this, it will help a lot. People often forget that being a RUclipsr is like running a business. You give people what they want, and they reward you with their attention, resulting in income. Of course, it is tough to start and grow to the point you are monetized (but with a little bit of Fame- ster everything is possible. I can't emphasize how much this online tool has helped me).
I wish I had this video back when I was starting. I was so mad because I had great content but wasn't getting any attention, any views. I felt like getting to 1000 subs was mission impossible. But after some time, I was lucky when I found out I could give my channel initial dose of subs, just enough to start getting noticed more and more. I got myself a first couple hundred subs very fast (I have personally used a bit of Famester), and after that my main channel gained a ton of organic traffic day after day.

As a filmmaker, what is important is also knowing where not to introduce noise or not to cut, but even if there is silence or only certain noise that stands out at the expense of others, there should be a reason for that.
It's unreal how much free value you're giving here really, appreciate that a lot man, this really is a hidden gem
Legit one of the best videos about editing on RUclips. Great vid man
Learned from King Leo and now my viewers are high for my videos and gave me 10000% retention
i really need to get better at my editing so ty for this video!
0-0 its u
Dude this video is pure gold, tbh the amount of GREAT advices there is in it is insane, I could litteraly pay for it
I love how he abruptly ended the video at the end. At first, I was like, oh well he messed up there, but immediately I realized he probably did that as a teaching experience to get the viewer trying to learn editing on what not to do. I could be wrong but that's what I took from it. Awesome video here bro.
I think he did that purposely to get viewer interested in watching more of his videos. The climax to the anticipation needing to be satiated.
my guy is the editing genius
2:55 he proved his point without me even knowing lmao
its cool to see you use your own tips! it helps a ton to implement them!
The editing in the video itself teach what you just explained what a gold mine. Thank you very much!
Your editing is so good. I'm starting in my youtube journey and editing is one of my biggest flaws. Your tips are gold!
God Bless you, brother!
Good luck!
@@Can-99.9 Thanks, my friend.
61 subs
Ok famester bot. Next try
@@Paiwhz its probably in another channel
This is quite literally the most immersive and educational editing video
this video is the exact opposite of clickbate. i was so focused in this video i didnt realise that already 14 minutes had passed by. thank you and keep making great content 💪
What i have learned so far is that editing mostly doesn't make your videos entertaining, THE SCRIPT DOES,
A Good Script + Decent Editing IS A MASTERPIECE
He gets it
@@LearnByLeo Thanks im still a begginer,
but this comment gives me motivation to improve
this!!! all the fancy edits don't mean 5H1T if your script and storytelling sucks.
@LearnByLeo Dude the title of the video stated you would show us how you EDIT which software and do a video tutorial for us but nope you're talking outside the BOOK, i don't need to understand the DEFINITION of Editing or Authenticity, what audience or Mrbeast CUTS 90 seconds or 2 seconds CUTS, bro please SHOW us a god damn tutorial which software do you use Adobe premiere pro or Capcut ... Then show us how you do it grab any 2 minutes or 5minutes video and TEACH us that..... Oh BTW i hit Dislike button since you CLICK BAITED us
hope i get a reply ~~ LMAO
@@officialyashvirgaming I think you're genuinely severally "differently intelligent"
Imagine spending hours editing just to end up with 10 views

absolutely amazing. I am adhd as fuck so I never sit through a whole video but this was amazing. and im going to start doing IRL vlogs etc so I needed some help lol
Dude! I gotta say I'm impressed. I don't know how old you are but I don't see many guys in your age group that do videos this impressive. I've been doing video for years and I definitely feel like I could learn a lot from you. Thank you for this video. I genuinely see so many good tips here.
I clicked the video and watched it until the end without skipping a beat. I dont need or have something to use the advice for, but somehow it still hooked me. God damn wizard.
Buddy, what you share is gold. Thank you. A little advice: don't exchange your valuable time to money with the calls. Build course, it's a one time investment. Then sell it to everyone who needs it. Or build a Skool group. You have what millions of people want to learn. With such attention dragging (promoting ) skills, you literally have the potential to become multi millionaire in less than a year.
Born to be a famous youtuber, forced to watch editing tutorials.

Bro I discovered this video only today and that's a cinematic masterpiece with tons of advices.. You're my idol from now on.
This video was addictive omg
And as you were explaining each feature I could really break it down easily with your editing without noticing, bravo!
I've taken notes for everything
For sure one of the best videos I have ever watched. I am racing driver and want to get better in editing videos for my socials. Thats why I stumbled across your vid. And this one really helps me a lot.
Was I just focused on a RUclips video for the whole 14 minutes and 31 seconds?
I swearr
Where did you get the sound effect for 3:51?
That was obviously a leprechaun flute.
I heard it once before.

Thanks so much for those sound effects! Nice one Dude! Great advice too. Sometimes I want less boring and I cut them, but my viewers want longer length. I was wondering why but you explained that people want it more personal and authentic.
you are not only good at editing , you are also good at explaining/teaching other people and that is multiple skills you mastered, thank you for your teaching, qobiltu ,i accept this to add in my knowledge..
Wait i'm not meant to upload RAW footage? Huh...
What software you use to edit😒!!!
Looks like premiere but the software choice isn't the point of the video. You can do these things with any good editor or your choice.
@@stevemount I doubt he use premiere for animations. Maybe also Aftereffects
How come all the “how to be amazing at RUclips” creators have the smallest channels???
Because people watch them once and dont subscribe
@@ArticulatPanda you have to have compelling and engaging content to earn my subscription. These donuts just recycle the same nonsense from one another. If they were so great at building a channel, they’d be bigger themselves.
