Man as a professional who worked on television, A/V agencies and at communications department in the industry I gotta say: You resumed every skill and editing technique that the broadcasting industry uses for both visual and sound appeal. It took me a lot of years and an insane amount of editing time to learn those things organically. There is a huge amount of valuable information in your content, and that impressed me. For me, the glowing highlights, animation on static things and sound design on both SFX and music are the most attention hooking things and I put a lot of effort on sound and cut timming while editing. Amazing video bro!
Actually the only “tutorial” worth watching, not only do u tell us how to use something, u say when, and give examples in the video, and now I understand editing
I wish I had this video back when I was starting. I was so mad because I had great content, but wasn't getting any attention, any views. I felt like getting to 1000 subs was mission impossible. But after some time, I was lucky when I found out I could give my channel the initial dose of subs, just enough to start getting noticed more and more. I got myself a first couple hundred subs very fast (I have personally used a bit of Famester), and after that my main channel gained a ton of organic traffic day after day.
Great video! You mentioned almost everything I wanted to hear in this video. A few more tips that came to my mind: 1. If you use the same sound effect multiple times in quick succession, give each one of them a slightly different pitch. Makes it sound much more natural since no real sound is ever exactly the same. 2. When you want to switch between two shots where the focus is very far apart, you can use transitions to more smoothly guide the viewers attention from one point to the other. 3. Music Stems (14:04) are extremely useful and I just want to highlight it a bit more. Take the drums out and it'll sound more relaxed. Take the melody out and it'll sound more focused. Mixing and matching the stems can allow you to create multiple emotions with the same song and allow you to transition between songs much easier. Just to give you some examples. 4. The intro is where you need to show the "unique value" your video provides. Put 10 times more effort into the intro to prove to the viewer that the video is worth their time. What that unique value is depends on your content. For filmmakers that could be an amazing shot. For gamers that could be clips which showcase high-skill gameplay. 5. Avoid clear patterns and add variety. If your editing is predictable it's less interesting. If you're editing is fast-paced for a bit, maybe add a slower section. Use multiple music genres and explore different emotions. Watching a 10 minute video that has the same style of editing throughout can be hard to watch. By changing it up, you re-stimulate the viewer and can tell a good story much more easily.
Nice! I love the way you're explaining and also doing what you're explaining simultaneously! Keep it up! PS: Thank you for the free sounds! Those are great to have for future videos!

If I could subscribe 10 times to your channel, I would. It's amazing how you teach so much with just a handful of videos. A lot of 'how to succeed on RUclips' channels repeat the same topics and sell them to us as new.
Thanks for sharing your knowledge. Tip for everyone else is that don't just observe the editting, but the storytelling aspect as well. Just started my channel 2 weeks ago, am a complete beginner at video editting, but I hope to one day be able to produce such quality video. But for now, I hope to work on my story telling first.
Thank you for sharing this, it will help a lot. People often forget that being a RUclipsr is like running a business. Buddy, what you share is gold. Thank you. A little advice: don't exchange your valuable time to money with the calls. Build course, it's a one time investment. Then sell it to everyone who needs it. Or build a Skool group. You have what millions of people want to learn. Don’t know who this little (explicit content) is… I don’t rewind videos for anybody and he had me reminding so many damn times! I was kept entertained. Awesomeness little man!
None of that or all of them is meant to be taken in a good way! My kids always asking when I complement them if it is good or bad… 😅
Get a load of this guy! You’re killing it my dude 💯!!! Keep up the hard work 🙏🏼🙏🏼
Watching this while taking a sh*t is crazy
Bro😂
wtf 😂
I'm also taking a shit rn and I agree with you.
What the hell bro 😂
69 likes is crazy
It has been a huge benefit to me and my channel to see you building your channel and growing so rapidly!! Can’t wait until I get to your level and become fully comfortable with speaking to my audience through the lens!!
Legit one of the best videos about editing on RUclips. Great vid man
jesus christ dude. I thought I had seen every worthwhile "how to edit" video on the internet. But honest to god, this the most informative video I've ever seen, and I wish I would've found it sooner lol. Would've saved me a lot of heartache
This was really eye-opening. Especially the part about matching the editing style to the video type. I can totally see how the fast style doesn't fit every topic.
Super valuable information presented in an engaging way. Great vid!
this editing is so good i can't stop. im addicted. i need help. please someone puttme in contact with a therapist.
Bruh 😂😂
@@centerforilizarovsurgery 🙂😂😂
This is actually so helpful. Looking at the video I’m currently editing makes me realize that it really isn’t that good and I know what to improve on. Thank you.
its cool to see you use your own tips! it helps a ton to implement them!
Solid gold info, I will continue to use your tips on my RUclips journey! Thank you for this!!
If I could subscribe 10 times to your channel, I would. It's amazing how you teach so much with just a handful of videos. A lot of 'how to succeed on RUclips' channels repeat the same topics and sell them to us as new.
0:33 that ranking edit was lit
2:55 he proved his point without me even knowing lmao
Thanks for sharing your knowledge. Tip for everyone else is that don't just observe the editting, but the storytelling aspect as well. It is the combination of all these factors that made this video so engaging. Just started my channel 2 weeks ago, am a complete beginner at video editting, but I hope to one day be able to produce such quality video. But for now, I hope to work on my story telling first.
Thank you for sharing this, it will help a lot. People often forget that being a RUclipsr is like running a business. You give people what they want, and they reward you with their attention, resulting in income. Of course, it is tough to start and grow to the point you are monetized (but with a little bit of Fame- ster everything is possible. I can't emphasize how much this online tool has helped me).
Bro I discovered this video only today and that's a cinematic masterpiece with tons of advices.. You're my idol from now on.
sound editing part is particularly useful, thanks! and good job on practicing what you preach
my guy is the editing genius
quite simply, a clear storyline and clear audio trumps any good visuals
Thanks, I love the tips and slow way to show many users of editing apps how to make addicting videos! This might make people glued to their phones!
Born to be a famous youtuber, forced to watch editing tutorials.

You don't need to, you're famous because you have your own fans that love your own style.

What r u waiting for? Just do it
absolutely amazing. I am adhd as fuck so I never sit through a whole video but this was amazing. and im going to start doing IRL vlogs etc so I needed some help lol
it's nice to know all the little tricks I've figured out on my own are what video editors should be doing! Didn't really learn too much from this vid but it's good I'm going in the right direction tbh!
Hey crew, any tips for small channels trying to break through when the big players have tools like sem rush and social plus boosting their visibility? Feels like we’re hitting a wall. Sending good vibes to everyone, and if you can, a sub would mean A LOT !!
i subscribed to you, ur upload schedule looks good.

I personally believe in asking people to share your content, sharing your links on Reddit forums and spamming your family telling them to hit copy to clipboard.
Imagine spending hours editing just to end up with 10 views

Its crazy how well this video worked, I was thinking of clicking off cause I had seen something that caught my attention but every single time I wanted to click off I somehow forgot about it and kept on watching. Great video!

Your editing is so good. I'm starting in my youtube journey and editing is one of my biggest flaws. Your tips are gold!
God Bless you, brother!
Good luck!
@@Can-99.9 Thanks, my friend.
This was by the most impressive piece of educational content I've ever seen. It wasn't a RUclipsr trying to give me the wow factor and draw me in with their over ambitious attitude, but solid advice with a clear explanation.
Seriously well done, I'll be back to watch this a few more times.
while i was watching the video just check what is the time i watched, it just 4:40 minutes, but i feel like 10 minutes. because there are so much details..
Was I just focused on a RUclips video for the whole 14 minutes and 31 seconds?
I swearr
Dude just downloaded your soundFxs, you're going above and beyond sharing this all! Double Thumbs up!
Instructions unclear, PC exploded

Buddy, what you share is gold. Thank you. A little advice: don't exchange your valuable time to money with the calls. Build course, it's a one time investment. Then sell it to everyone who needs it. Or build a Skool group. You have what millions of people want to learn. With such attention dragging (promoting ) skills, you literally have the potential to become multi millionaire in less than a year.
This video is all killer no filler...everything you need to know, but as a formula, not just a bunch of tips. Thank you so much for this video!
Where did you get the sound effect for 3:51?
That was obviously a leprechaun flute.
I heard it once before.
Will never forget it.

I actually have that same question. Still haven’t found it
This is the absolute best video about editing theory I have ever watched.
