you can make almost everything in fusion and many things that fusion can do but after effects cannot and its is node based what do you need bro people just dont know how to use fusion it is the best thing in davinchi
@@skapeedits Hey! Finally someone that cares about this topic. Before I start I just want to say that I check your channel and your Element 3D and Glow plugin looks very awesome. About the plugins - well yes and no at the same time. Let me explain. The only plugin I wish I have money for in After Effects is GeoLayers and yes having that plugin inside Fusion will change a lot for me already probably but the problem will still exist there. I think that my conversation with Jake Wipp is describing already what I want to say the best. There it is. " Unfortunely there are a couple things that still keep me in Adobe suite. I Wonder if this is possible to make in Davinci Resovle: 1. Movie like "Missing" (2023). I don't really think it is possible with shape nodes, but maybe there is something that I don't know yet in Fusion ? 2. Map animations like this guy for example: ruclips.net/user/shortsaAgcgQxl_hM I believe this animation is maked via After Effects and geolayers plugin. Is there any way to make nice, crisp map animations inside Fusion ? I watch tons of tutorials about it but its seem like there isn't final solution to that. I was thinking about importing a very high res image of world and then masking out all the continents and countries inside shape nodes, but it still would't be that good probably and what about mixing shape nodes with "NON s" nodes for example if I want add glows to the borders etc. Is there any way to mix shape nodes with non-shape nodes and still have crisp sharp graphic or any other way to do that ? I mean for example I remake Select Tool from Fusion because I want to make some tutorial and graphic like this will make that more entertaining and I do that using shape nodes. Now I cannot mix shape nodes with normal nodes. I know that I can do sMerge -> sRender and then apply glows and another non shape nodes but then I loose ability to have that crisp look after huge zoom in and I cannot control all graphic that I create with single sTransform node and what if I want to animate this graphic with for example using DVE node instead stransform ? In After Effects I also create Fusion's Select Tool just with Shape Layers and I can normaly apply glows to those shape layers or whatever effect I want to, and still zoom in in a huge amount via Null Object or by making precomp and apply Basic 3D effect or however and I still get sharp look with all effects applied. This is complicated or again there is something that I am definetly missing thats why I ask you. Resolving some of these problems might be also useful for other Davinci Resolve users. Its not just about me. This is feeling like so much of workaround for me and that is sad because I love Fusion for everything else. What you think about it ?"
@@TeamA-f2i Thanks! Okay so you are right you can’t add glows/dropshadows to shape layers and it sucks. However a workaround is you can give them a different color and key them after the srenderer or 3d renderer. And then apply a glow/dropshadow to that keyed element. It’s a bit easier that way atleast. Maybe you already did that idk. And the way to get 2d images like a high res map onto shape layers is using an extrude3d node to bring shape layers into 3d. Then you could add any texture as a material on those shape nodes. And you can also add 3d animations, when you work in the 3d system which is also a plus. And lastly if you quickly want to get map shapes you can try to find a map where the borders are transparent or that is black and white. Then use vector snapshot to convert it to polygons and then polygon to spolygon script. Then you don’t have to mask the shapes manually. For that look for extruding logos or vectorsnapshot on RUclips. So the workflow would be somewhat like this: Find 2 maps that match decently to each other. One with the satellite texture/or other details. The other black and white (so the borders are white and the country black or the other way arround). Then lumakey that image and plug it into the mask Input of a white background (vector snapshot needs that to work). Then run the script, which will give you a bunch of polygons. Select all and run the polygon to spolygon script and delete redundant shapes (sometimes it adds extra ones). Unfortunately spolygon and polygon use different coordinate system so it will likely be stretched. Use a stransform afterwards to fix that. Then you add an extrude 3d and extrude the spolygons and an imageplane that you place slightly behind them. On the image plane material input you can add the high res image. If you want to zoom into a specific spot you can put another smaller image plane there so when it zooms in it will transition from the big high res image to a zoomed in image of that specific area. Then you have basically 2 layers: the shape layer on top of the realistic map layer in 3d. Than you can start picking specific countries from the spolygons and adding soutline for example or other shape nodes or stext. Then you can add a 3d camera/3d renderer and do your camera animations. And if you want to make specific shapes glow or add a drop shadow you can give them a unique color and key them using a chromakeyer/any other keyer after the 3d renderer. Branch them out and add a glow/drop shadow and merge that back on the overall branch. I hope that was somewhat understandable, I might make a tutorial and I’ll have to see if everything works exactly like I said. This is just what I would image it to work like.
@@TeamA-f2i Something like geolayers is obviously still a lot better. Unfortunately I don’t think it’s easy to recreate and I propably couldn’t do it. But I hope these tips help a bit atleast!

Damn Bro!! This is your best video so far imo!! THATTTT IIIINTRO 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Davinci Resolve can beat Pr,Ae,Au combined if they actually focus on making updates inside Fusion. Still I cannot make everything I want to that I can create with After Effects inside Fusion but I don't know if they will actually do that, because Blackmagic mostly make money from selling hardware not software.
That's fucken sad.
I will rather pay more for Resolve and have features I need instead of what is right now.
Who else agree ?
Yes I agree fusion is the best part of the software and they could charge a bit more for it. just curious what exactly are you still missing from after effects? I would guess the biggest thing are plugins?
you can make almost everything in fusion and many things that fusion can do but after effects cannot and its is node based what do you need bro people just dont know how to use fusion it is the best thing in davinchi
I Wonder if this is possible to make in Davinci Resovle:
1. Movie like "Missing" (2023).
I don't really think it is possible with shape nodes, but maybe there is something that I don't know yet in Fusion ?
2. Map animations like this guy for example:
ruclips.net/user/shortsaAgcgQxl_hM
I believe this animation is maked via After Effects and geolayers plugin.
Is there any way to make nice, crisp map animations inside Fusion ?
I watch tons of tutorials about it but its seem like there isn't final solution to that.
I was thinking about importing a very high res image of world and then masking out all the continents and countries inside shape nodes,
but it still would't be that good probably and what about mixing shape nodes with "NON s" nodes for example if I want add glows to the borders etc.
So the workflow would be somewhat like this:
Find 2 maps that match decently to each other.
But I hope these tips help a bit atleast!
wtf most video editing videos I see are so bland, this one is actually so peak?!?! yeah you deserve this sub, im so glad someone who makes videos on video editing ACTUALLY HAS GOOD EDITING!!
11:16 Switch to Final Cut
literally! was just coming here to say if he likes iMovie’s UI, it’s basically just a simplified free version FCPX
Woah your editing is incredible😮😮 Thanks for sharing the process of editing
Fire video
man the last time i watch your video, you had like 50k subs..well done brother, your editing is next level!
you forgot kdenlive
davinci has a transform effect that does the same in PP. but I saw another comment that animating in Fusion is easier yes I highly agree and its so easy to understand as well. fire video fin!

6:48 brooooo needs a break ☠️🤣
Davinci Resolve has ways for Motion Blurrrrr.
You either stay in the edit page add the transform (Open Effects ) and there is a mition blur optionnnnnn.
Or you can go fancy in the Fusion page
hey finzar i think if you were the one editing your vids before, I think I am used to watching it the previous way, noticed you were looking for an editor but I think the previous one's better tho its also good, also around 14:25 there was a change in lighten and also where is our god finzar with God's voice who always challenges finzar :(
I was actually a capcut and davinci editor and there is a option to add keyframe to blur effect also in capcut.
99% of you will probably not see this but I hope that you all are doing well and are having a good day
We see it and thanks👍
Fin does everything to avoid the fusion page in DaVinci😂
I wouldn't want tp touch nodes either if i didn't have to
context: moblur is available in the transform node in fusion, so you don't have to manually recreate it
Bro botched the DaVinci video. There are so many easier ways to do what he did 😭
Bro the intro is lit! Great job

@@SuperTost104 thank you for this, I looked through hundreds of Nintendo songs trying to find it 😂!
Your assets are too good man!. Awesome video👍
“I love editing so much..” *silence*
ironically enough, lightworks has been the first editing software i’ve used long term that felt the most intuitive to me. i use it to edit all my video and rely heavily on making visual effects and animations on it even if it’s not really built for it. this may be biased since i’ve used it for years but now but a 10 minute video of pure animation takes me just a couple of hours
Lightworks first introduced me to keyframes. I would play so much around with it and it looked like a easy simple keyframe system. But that was how I got used to other keyframing systems

Intro is insane. Thanks for inventing editing finzar!
You edited on every free software? Where's Blender? 🧐😝
Sooo. your claims about inventing video editing. According to google:
"The earliest device that can be attributed to video editing was created in 1897".
Which only means one thing. Your skin routine is of the charts. Well done being so old and looking so young!!! 🥰
You are a CHAMPION! I don’t have the 🥜 to try any program other than Premiere Pro lol

As an editor of 35 years, every time I heard you say "I invented editing" a little fire burned angrier inside me.
what a wholesome video bro love your work
2:43 You could just use transform node in Fusion to animate your PNG and apply motion blur which is there by default just like in Premiere Pro (and editing keyframes with "Spline" menu in Fusion would be a way nicer experience than in Edit page)
Your visuals are so lively, whether it's the materials or the text, they all have a bouncy feel. I really want to learn how to do that. Is it all manually set up?
Bro I love your every single videos and I am your new subscriber ❤❤😊
@2:44 you can find an effect called 'transform' in Effects tab, drop in on your clip and you'll find in in Inspector -> Effects tab -> animation -> motion blur
So entertaining, you make me feel like doing the edits myself, but i know too well i will get obsessed lol
BRO HOW ARE THESE THUMBNAILS SO GOOD
That was sweet, loved that intro, but scared to think how long that took to make. Cheers for sharing the video and laughs, stay safe, have fun, enjoy life! 🍻👍👌🤗
No Kdenlive is criminal
specially when you used the absolute piece of nothing that is shotcut
I would like a tutorial on how you made the introduction of this video, the animations, whether the settings and characters were made with AI, and how you adapted the color to integrate them into the same setting, thanks for the great video!
As a person who's been using Davinci for a year...

I never knew you could do all THESE !!! I had to watch some tutorials ! Do you have some ?

Also me: begging for after effects
I WANT A TUTORIAL JUST FOR THE INTRO! EVERY DETAIL. That was just fire
In Capcut you can Keyframe the increase and decrease of a blur effect. Great Video!
hey i just wanted to say, you have been so helpful for helping me learn how to edit cool effects and enjoy it more. Thanks
