I just thought of a way that would make the stream deck integration of this fully automatic. Have the first command of the multi action to be the hotkey to save the replay buffer, delay it a few seconds, then start with the commands that you had. That way one press would have a moment happen, save it, replay it, and then back to live..
Tho I will say, I just subbed as I found the videos the other day, and I have loved all the OBS tips that you have provided.

if you were to start the buffer every 10seconds, it would be un watchable

MFJ - you're basically the only channel I go now for OBS. It's been great. Question to take this Instant Replay next level....Let's say I use about 5-6 instant replays during my gaming session...Is there a way to combine those quickly, and play them "the highlights" at the end of a session DURING the live stream as well? Hope that makes sense. I play a game that usually has 4-5 replayable plays during the 20 minute session...and I'd love to show all the replays at the end. Thank you!

Great video Michael. One question: I have the Replay Buffer set to 15 seconds, do I keep the IR Buffer running throughout my stream, then save the replay when something interesting happens in the last 15 seconds, is that how this works? I would think so, because when i'm streaming in-game, if something interesting happens and I don't have the buffer started, then it's gone. I think I answered my own question, but just looking for confirmation. That's why I subbed the best OBS channel on YT. Have a great day Sir...⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Is there a way (or plug-in) to mark the start of a replay with one key, then the end of a replay with another to just play that segment of time? This is similar to how Wirecast lets you mark your replay in and out. This way you're not limited to a preset time. (We're using Touch Portal with OBS right now)

yeah, he completely left this part out. The video is misleading. This is basically to show videos at the touch of a button that you have pre-recorded.

It only updates using the hotkey for "Instant Replay".

Can you make a tutorial on how to use noise cancelling On Streamlabs Obs? Because i tried some built in filters, but when people talks in my room, or Someone from discord screams a bit louder, i make eco, and it's a pretty bad thing for my streams, so please, if you can do anything, thanks in Advance ♥️

Hey Michael, love the videos they helped a ton and give me new ideas so thank you very much. Quick question, I run live streams for my sons hockey games and we use instant replay often. One problem I’ve encountered is being able to save off all the instant replays to show a highlights package during intermission. I’ve circumvented OBS by writing a simple batch script to copy the file to another folder location but I’m wondering if you know how to modify the actual instant replay script so that A copy of the instant replay file can be made so it’s completely automated. I guess another solution would be to call my batch script from inside the instant replay script but thought I would ask if you knew anything about how to do this. Thanks again!

Look up Directory watch media from exeldro

@@FoosballSportsNetwork in the 2 months since my comment I’ve come a ways from this issue but it still isn’t working quite right. Used advanced scene switcher macros to call my bat script which copies the file. Also using directory watcher for a couple of vlc replay sources to some but not perfect results. I’ve just started migrating over from the baked in OBS replay to Exeldro’s “source replay” plug in. Thanks for the response tho, dir watcher has a weird side effect of adding the files added to the directory in the list of replays (in properties) and borking up the replays during our intermission. OBS is sooo finicky.

@@O_P_Productions I wish I could figure out the source replay. I hate when it has full overlays in my replays.

@@FoosballSportsNetwork what do you mean by “full overlays”? You can adjust the size….

@@O_P_Productions the regular replay shows any overlays or lower 3rds and I have to crop that stuff out. The source replay doesn’t but it’s difficult to figure out.

Couldnt you program the stream deck to do the whole thing with a single button? Hotkey, then delay, then replay?
