Hi Michael, I discovered the lower third plugin last week. It does look nice, and works ok except when you use nested scenes. It adds the overlay to every scene and if you use nested scenes it will double, triple the lower third output. You have to go into every scene to turn off the overlay to stop that. The developer is aware. As always, great suggestions.
Great video! I've been using OBS for a long time now but all I use it for is recording video as I don't really understand a lot of the other features. But after watching this video I see I may be missing out so I'm going to take the time to understand it more and I've subscribe to your channel to help with that endeavour. Thanks.

Hi Michael, i am in love with the lower third plugin, but my difficulty is that when you using it it should give the ability to either change the fonts size or the fonts style and that would have been awesome

Just an FYI, something to try.
Your black screen administrator prompts, if you want a more seamless video experience for viewers. Run your capture program as administrator. (probably obs) this will give it rights to view those prompts.
Working in IT I see stuff like this all the time.

I wonder if there is a plugin that would allow you to make timed appearances of elements on screen, such as your own animated lower thirds, other call-out information you've made, with your own alpha channels, etc. ... like, "show this graphic on screen every 10 minutes, pause it at this timecode for 20 seconds, then finish playing (presuming you have an exit in the same file)...

Hmm, I did exactly what you did for the lower thirds but the FX Magician info didnt appear under my sources. I am obviously doing something wrong.
I had precisely the same problem! Maybe FX Magician does not work with newer OBS versions?
The FX Magician isn't working on the obs 30, can you help us fix it?

OBS Websocket dont work for me, i activate it, all correct set but no connection possible on OBS 30.0.2
Several people here, myself included, report that FX Magician does not show up in the Sources window. Thus, it does not work. Maybe the new OBS won't work with this tool.

Does making some video editing software tutorials sound interesting? I use Adobe Premiere Pro.
OBS Studio Version 29.1.3 läuft problemlos. Version 30.0.0 und Version 30.0.2 stürzen sofort ab, wenn ich den Livestream starte. Aus der unmittelbar nach dem Absturz folgenden Protokoll-Anzeige-Tafel werde ich natürlich als Laie nicht schlau. Bin also mit den neuesten Versionen nicht arbeitsfähig. Zum Glück habe ich die alte Version 29.1.3 noch behalten und wieder installiert. Hat natürlich den Nachteil, nicht in den Genuß der verbesserten Updates zu kommen. Problem tritt auch im abgesicherten Modus auf. Mein Rechner: "Apple Mac Mini M2 Pro", MacOS Sonoma 14.2.1 (aktuell) Kannst Du mir helfen? Mit herzlichem Gruß von Lufi aus Erfurt

I can see my FX Magician Lower Thirds connection in my OBS/Tools/WebSocket Server Settings (same as seen on your video's timestamp 21:01). Then I click Apply & OK, but no Lower Thirds shows up on my OBS sources. How to fix to get the Lower Thirds to show up on my sources?
Several of us report the identical problem: FX Magician won't show up in the Sources box. Thus, the functions do not work. I wonder if FX Magician does not work with this latest version of OBS?
How about swearing words will it show up in subtitles?

Is there anywhere that covers localvocal plugins advanced settings, I would like to try and get it as close to no delay as possible, I also find the on screen text to be pretty inaccurate to what I'm saying, maybe because I'm British probably, its a shame as it seems to be the only viable option with myself having AMD hardware, the other popular plugin called cloud closed caption for obs doesn't work with AMD

Hello Michael. As I am am in constant storage crisis on my mac, how many plug-ins could my OBS support without trouble - when I livestream?
Is it possible to put a video in the scene and transcribe the video to text instead of my spoken voice ? Is the txt being transcribed to a file also instead of only a screen line ?
Both things mentioned here are possible with the plugin.
