*PSA* : I was unaware of this, and it took me countless hours to figure it out. *If you run OBS in administrator mode, OBS does not accept keypresses for hotkeys from Touch Portal* . If you do the keypresses manually they work, but not from Touch Portal. Everything else from Nutty's tutorial works. _Once I stopped running OBS in administrator mode, Nutty's rewind technique worked like a _*_FREAKIN' CHARM_* !
@@adriplodocus_ I later discovered that if you run both OBS and Touch Portal in administrator mode, everything plays nicely. It's all about privilege, and I feel silly not realizing that earlier. Either way, I hope that this info helps.
Hey mate, sorry to bother you and your post is over a year old but I for some reason can't seem to get this working. I tried asking in Nutty's discord but too many people asking for help at once kinda buried it and I don't know what to do. I've set this thing up 17x now and when I push the button it rewinds, but none of the audio, or effects turn on or turn off. It literally just does the rewind. Both OBS AND Touch Portal have been ran in and out of administration mode and nothing seems to fix it. I have 0 clue where to go from here.

Outside of that I don't know enough to really help anyone. This is the best instant replay, hands down. Also that "rewind" sound you made with your mouth.. can I use that for my own rewind sounds? Using it anyway k thanks.
I feel the video was a little bit rushed, especially when he starts clicking of stuff, needs to show you clicking it a bit slower as replaying it 500 times is doing my head in. lol And Also, I was trying to put it all in LB and not sure what I am getting correct in the programming section.

Not sure if this was said before or not, but anyways, an very small improvement (IMHO), would be to add the REWIND and FFWD PNGs to your main scene instead of 'gameplay' scene so what is supposed to be an OSD from the VHS era do not get distorted by the VHS shader (which even if it looks nice, it kind of don't make sense)

I know this is an older comment, but had the thought of adding a way to start OBS recording right after the rewind and turn it off when you hit the fast forward. Gonna be trying this when I get home today.

It was very good video. Btw I did same thing without any macro software. Just using Move source, Move Value (Simultaneous Move and Next Move) and 2 buttons on my mouse (volume buttons)
I have a 1080 ti, 32G RAM, over 50G free space on my SSD, and I have closed ALL non-essential programs. As soon as I get to the add Dynamic Filter part, my computer freezes indefinitely until I manually restart it. It happens every single time even after I uninstall and reinstall dynamic, uninstall and reinstall OBS, and after I restart my computer. I really love this and really would appreciate some help.
Why didnt you just added a media source for the audio output to the stream? So this rewind\ffwd effect sounds on to the live stream. That worked for me ^^

I noticed you use OBS Studio (as do I) but I do use StreamElements for certain widgets and have been considering installing obs.live recently but don't see many advantages to doing so. If not a video, at least a little input on wether or not to use obs.live would be awesome. That aside, I've quickly became a huge fan of your content and who you are. Need a bit more link to your previouses videos for newcommers but still awesome tutorial ! continue like this ! i like you complicated effects and it give me a motivation to improve my stuff watheaver im on a little potato doing console capture streaming i will give it a try ! About hitting you GPU, i presumption is because of the multilayer shader filters thath are caled quickly and the callback of stored footage from your ram to GPU too hurts Nvidia encoding chip AND the game itself with a bottlenecked data bus.
Took a minute to think it out but just assign a hotkey in OBS to your VHS filters and stuff & then have Lioranboard Macro them all together with 0 duration and however long delay you need. Can also do it with Streamdeck using BarRaider's OBS Tools.
I really enjoyed the video!! I have been using a Replay Setup for a while but this spin on it is pretty sweet. I do have a question for you regarding replay captures, which might be something you can answer or explore for a future video. I have my replay buffer set to 32secs, just to get the lead up to a solid clip. But recently I have been trying to create or record shorter in-game clips to capture a 5, 8, or even 10 sec moment in the game. The issue is no matter what timer i setup in TP i still end up with a 30 sec clip. Would this be something better done/triggered in Streamer.Bot or is it a Touch Portal possibility....? Maybe something more replated to the Replay source Plugin for OBS?

Did you double check that your scenes are properly nested? (shown in the first segment of the video, it's what allows the scene to be stored and player over the top of the live acting video)
Well nice one mate! but how the heck do you assign F13 to f-whatever in obs? Pressing shift + F1, that's supposed to be F13 for windows, gives me "shift + F1" in obs hotkeys. Not that i need it to be like that but it bugs me not knowing! Happy new year!!!
Whenever I start OBS Studio now - the consumed RAM ( about 10 Gigs) from my 2x16 GByte RAM is enough to make the Mouse Cursor unavailable to move for a short duration. This comes in like every minute. To go for sure my PC is not bad at all - I've hav 32 GB RAM with a frequency of 3600 MHz. a 3060 RTX Ti a Ryzen 9 3900X running on a system with M.2 SSD 1 TB So do have anyone similar problems and maybe got a solution for that?
TWO VERY IMPORTANT POINTS ABOUT THIS (through following along to this and getting unwanted results): 1. Your total replay footage includes your rewind time. Meaning if you set a 20s delay that needs to rewind for 2s, your actual replay is only 18 seconds. 2. If you want to have your instant replay played as a separate source, played over your live gameplay, you must still have the instant replay source part be of your scene, otherwise it will not cache, and your replay will rewind only to the point you pressed your macro, not the full replay duration.
I have same problem as nutty in GPU and CPU usage, i use the Replay source of exeldro to make my Instant replay scene and show my replays and the dropped frames grow up to more than 20% (normally and without that plugin i have 0.1% of dropped frames and 60 fps)

touch portal dont work. I can record obs with iphone touch portal but I cannot replay .I have tried many ways but I cant figure out . help me anoyone.

obs.live is obs studio with a plugin. If you want to make the things from this tutorial just add 2 more plugins and follow the shown steps.

When I setup replay for 20 sec then clips have always 18 sec anyway

How did you add the F14 and F15 to OBS if you don't even have the keys?
I mapped to Number Keypads on my Full size keyboard. If you have a gaming keyboard, it's a bit tougher.

I watched your 2 videos about VoiceMeeter Banana and the microphone enhancement, but I couldn't hear my microphone after turning on the monitor. As a monitoring device I chose my headphones, you can also see the green level and the voice can be heard during recording.
Hope you know a solution :D
