I've watched all your videos here. Their emphasis on quality is what sets you apart. Your delivery is excellent too. Crack me tf up. As most good teachers do, You also imply possibilities instead of trying to dictate what should be done. Thank you for helping me get my project off the ground.
I want to get into streaming because I produce/mix music, and sim race. When it comes to filter order, it's almost the same as signal flow. Whatever is at the top is the first thing the signal (in this case, the source being filtered) sees, and it works down the line. I understood that the minute I saw a compressor as a filter option lol That per-scene audio trick earned this video an early like. I realize that I'm new to the streaming world, and so this video might have been pretty bland for advanced streamers, but it was a lot of help for me! Thanks for uploading!
That muffled Sound Transition when you switch the Scene wiith that Audio Plugin totally blew my mind :D And also the info that arranging Filters affect each other, damnnnnnn.... Keep the funny Videos coming Brother, your Quality and Entertainment is flawless.
Amazing job with these videos Nutty, they are really great and I learn a lot from them. I use many of these tricks in my own streaming and I appreciate you for taking your time to make these videos, they have got to be difficult to edit. You are doing great however and I hope you get many subscribers soon!
9k Subscribers. Really? This is ridiculously high quality. I started Twitch streaming back in October and I'm so down to learn new tricks about OBS. That custom docks info is crazy; I'm definitely gonna integrate some of the info I usually get off the Creator Dashboard. New subscriber here; keep up the great work!
Another advantage of nested scenes is that filters can be applied to an entire scene-source. This also has potential uses on camera sources, but the way I use it is on my capture card source. Trying to use two instances of my capture card just plain doesn't work if I don't have them disable when not showing, but then I get a rather lengthy black flash as it kicks back in. So, in my example, I have the capture card in another scene and when I use that scene as a source I can apply the transparency filter I need to it and not worry about it conflicting or lagging as OBS releases and reacquires it.
I recently realized the power of nested scenes and can't believe I used to just have every source in one scene. I also didn't know about the per scene audio, so I'll be changing that before my next stream! I found your channel because of the Motion Plugin video. I then forgot about it for a few weeks and RUclips recommend another video of yours. I then watched everything you made, subscribed, and implemented a few of them into my stream. Love your way of explaining things. Not super dumbed-down and not super technical. Just right in the Goldilocks zone.
dude thanks for the tip on the audio for different scenes, been bugging me for ages at this point and recently i had to wipe my pc and lost my stream settings for scenes and everything (only backed up encoding data so bit duh for me lol) so can actually set it up right now thanks
Nutty love ya bro! I just set up the screen nesting and you are 100% right grouping sucks looks nasty AND when you go and do other scenes well then you have to re do the groups. Thank you for showing me (us) how to do this! keep them coming!
Thank you!!! The microphone muting / unmuting double-clicks were making me too tired to even stream 😂🤣 Funny and informative. Liked and subbed! Cheers mate!
No Cap OBS should hire you, ive switch to OBS thx to your videos and I have learned so much more than with other tutorials just watching your videos...
Wow, I made it early. Your videos are awesome, informative and entertaining. Great job. I'm just starting out streaming, right now I'm just streaming off the twitch app on my Xbox because my computer is a potato (oof) but I'm having a new PC built and once I do I'll be able to run OBS and use these tips!
Loved these tricks. Nested was the major improvemente, plus plugins. Thank you, it's a general improvement to all streamers content like this. Deserve much more views.
Did not know about nested scenes, looks better than groups :-) I also got bored of forgetting to mute and unmute the mic but I went with another solution. If you got an streamdeck, I just turned my scene buttons into multi actions and set the mic with a small delay to mute on the break and start screen and unmute on all others :-)
The powerful feature about nested scenes vs. groups is that if you nest a scene and you change it, it changes in ALL the scenes where that nested scene is used. Which is not the case with groups, which are just copies of the same sources.
Great video, not boring!! 😄 I'm a newbie looking for audio solutions I experienced in my first livestream, and I found this video very helpful. Thank you so much!
Dude, I am a total newb trying to learn all this stuff. Thank you so much for your total newb basic video. New subscriber headed to watch another one of your videos.
I used to live in Hawaii , Waikiki Beach and you remind me of a BF I had there, but you are Fun to watch and very informative . Yes I am new to all this, trying my best to absorb it all. Thanks for these new OBS tricks .
I'm currently setting up a second YT channel purely for streaming and find all of these tips incredibly helpful. I need a how to stream for dummies series Lol
Just starting streaming .... I appreciate your personality brother 💪 .... haven’t heard anyone state the nesting over grouping purpose elsewhere with such a great example
New to your channel, have always thought about making RUclips channel / streaming but always been intimidated a bit about it. Learnt some really good tips and tricks.
Did learn something, yes. Also, you have found some nice ways to deal with the jump-cut issues when cutting to the same camera, which is often problematic.
Thank you, You are the reason why we now are moving from SLOBS to OBS. So hey, if we make any mistakes in OBS, its your fault! :P Keep up the great work, you have helped us alot.
dude you're dope for doing this, thank you! btw i couldn't find a video of you showing us how to install stream fx.. i just want the blur effect on my obs streamelements ;(
I’m so glad I found your channel. Very informative and easy to follow and nice to listen to! I like your style! Please keep on creating content :)! You’re being a great help to me! Only just started streaming, so there’s still lots to learn for me!
Here I have to thank you regarding browsers (custom browser docks). Such a small tip, and I think it will be useful if I want custom OBS, as I would like. Thanks ^^
Can you add alert boxes and stuff like that in OBS? That's one of the reasons I gravitated to SLOBS was all of the little wigits that made my life easier but lately I've been having issues with Game Capture and a few other things so it would be nice to use the original OBS. Also that custom browser thing looks so awesome! Thanks for putting this video together! Subbed!
Cool video, taught me about the disabling audio devices and adding them to each source, that's pretty neat, certainly going to use it! Sorry about the eczema bro :|
This is an awsome vid!!! I even bookmarked it!!!! Thank you sooooooooooooooo much!!! Would LOVE TO KNOW the best setup for streaming!!! Thank you again and I just subbed!!!!!
BlaZ1Gaming all I can say is it’s ridiculously close to photoshop. If nothing else it’ll teach you how to use photoshop. Plus it’s web based so you don’t have to install anything
Don't forget the multi-view! It gives you a preview and a program window which shows your screen, as well as a grid of 8 of the first of your scenes with a live preview. It's a real game-changer for anyone who has more than 1 monitor or even a touchscreen, as you can quickly zap between scenes without having to go to OBS.
Love this. This only highlights the biggest negative to me using Linux. I haven't found the right folder for me to merge the files to. 😕 That's just my life. The rest are spot on. I actually new this but love that it shows I'm on the right track. Thanks for that.
Click once, oh thats cool. Click twice, oh im to tired to stream now. Funny cuz it's true xD story of my life. Thanks for the video :D Alot of useful information here that waaaay to many aren't applying at all
Had issues with my audio today on my very first stream lol, should of watched this video! Idk how I managed to skip over this video, I've watched like all your content!
Great video as always, question though. You’ve mentioned having a spotify playlist in the background of your streams, how do you do that without getting copyright flagged by the platform your on?
How many of you learned something new in this video?
now watching
Haven't watched all of it yet. What camera setup and audio setup are you using?
@@BibleBreakout Camera: Panasonic G7 + Sigma 16mm F/1.4
Microphone: Rode NT1 + GoXLR
I didn't realize there was custom browser docks...will be very helpful
I can’t read

man you are hilarious, the "redacted" was by far my favorite part of the video. I almost spit my drink over my keyboard.
I want to get into streaming because I produce/mix music, and sim race. When it comes to filter order, it's almost the same as signal flow. Appreciate you man :) Yes, editing is very difficult and I'm very amateur at it.
I started watching this thinking I know quite a bit about OBS as is.... then you straight up call me out! Lol
LOOOL
PETER
I don't know but your sense of humor in the first 30 seconds alone along with being informative cleary got you a sub for life ;)

i'm a beginner, i had no idea about that scene nesting thing. i'm gonna do that from now on, thanks nutty.
I suck at the computer design stuff but i know i need my streams to visually look better. Very nice videos!
dude thanks for the tip on the audio for different scenes, been bugging me for ages at this point and recently i had to wipe my pc and lost my stream settings for scenes and everything (only backed up encoding data so bit duh for me lol) so can actually set it up right now thanks
Probably the most useful video for streamers I have ever seen. Been streaming for 2 years but man, you just changed everything for me. Your amazing!
nested scenes are so much better than groups, and ESSENTIAL for some green screening stuff
"You Can Add Scenes.....To Scenes.." Me: Head Falls Off, Shits Pants
lol
I just switched from Streamlabs OBS to OBS Studio and I was exactly looking for Customer Browser Docks! Thanks Nutty!
Nutty love ya bro! I just set up the screen nesting and you are 100% right grouping sucks looks nasty AND when you go and do other scenes well then you have to re do the groups. Thank you for showing me (us) how to do this! keep them coming!
