All rigs by AnimSchool, except "Squirrely" rig by Josh Burton. Кино
Again.... animschool continues to impress and inspire us with it's teaching. Just goes to show how much skilled the trainers are in animschool and bring out best of best.
So much awesomeness! Always gives me the inspiration do achieve this kind of quality of animation.
"And FYI it's not even a haircut! It's a rare form of male pattern baldness!" *dry sobs*
1:41 I do love me some princess bride references.
THATS WHERE I KNOW THAT LINE FROM!
I've seen that movie a million times I feel like
I always love a good Princess Bride refference
One of my favorite movies!!
I look forward to this every year and this one did not disappoint. Way to go everyone!
1:41 first of all, love the Princess Bride audio. Second of all, the expressions are wonderful!
That Alissar Kobeissi clip is one of the best pieces of body language animation I've ever seen, that was gorgeous!
"Felt… I said felt" best part ever XD!!!
ahad Ae Agreed
Dialogue is from the movie 'Easy A' in case anyone is wondering
2:40 IT’S THE “YOU GET CHILDREN, YOU BUY CHRISTMAS TREE” WOMAN!
I still feel like some of the rigs could use a bit more diversification, but the animators here are firing on all cylinders. Excellent showcase!
5:54 AWESOOOOOOOOM
6:27 He looks like Shaggy.
The kinetics look awesome. My only critique would be that some scenes are a little too much...over-performed. If that makes sense. Like making too much gestures that do not really fit the dialogue. Overall, great animators!
DrStench13 true true. but it does give more of an impact on the animation
One of the most powerful things animation has to offer is exaggeration.
Yes, animation over-exaggerates body language and bends the rules of reality. That's quite literally the point of animation.
@@Panda72021 Not always. In subtle acting a lot of animation students are over working the movements. It's not "the point" of animation. It's one of the core principles, but can be applied in different ways.
Great job all the students! Congrats!
these animations are top notch what the heck so good
5:43 personal favourite
thank you for the showcase :D
damn impressive. Now I know where Pixar animators come from :) Excellent work.
os mego : This school works with Maya. They also developped an AnimSchool Picker selection GUI that enhances the default Maya picker, to intuitively select body parts and face muscles. Excellent work for sure. Pixar is waiting for those guys every year ;)
Pixar deserves more credit for what they are now and not what they once were
awesome. youre all awesome.
I've been waiting for this and it was so worth it! I would love to see more videos about and around your school, I'm at VFS currently, but I feel like I could learn a lot about animation from your school. Maybe next year?
+MrSoizes 2 Hello I`m Roger, man I'm dreaming of going to VFS but I always wanted to ask somebody inside, about an opinion. Is it that good or not? What's your experience? Because I'm finishing a Bachelor of Graphic Design and Animation & I'd like to improve my animation skills. Tnks!
It is really good. People will tell you that it is an intense program but I promise you that you have never experienced anything like this before. The first 6 months (terms 1-3) you will have general classes where YOU WILL NOT HAVE TIME TO DO ANYTHING other than school, sometimes you will even have to miss meals or nights of sleep at a time to get assignments done on time. But, it is worth it. I have learned so much here and I am only at the end of term 4 but I am so happy that I got through the last 6 months. After term 3, things will slow down but you still have to be at school for a long time but only for the classes that pertain to your stream (ie Animation, modeling, or VFX) and you are given a lot of time to work of your demo-reel. If you do sign up for VFS, you should 3 thing before you start. 1- Watch some photoshop, maya 2016 and 2015 , and nuke tutorials until you get the idea. 2- Choose what steam you want to go into (ie Animation, modeling, or VFX), 3- make up for find your story and do EVERYTHING for the pre-production stage of it. That means storyboards, animaticssssssssssss, art style, style, feel, plot, characters, cameras, reference...EVERYTHING. That is my 2 sense about it. To wrap it up. Yes, you should sign up. It is a great experience. Be open to new people, learn things, go to all the events if you can, be different from everyone else. Make a name for yourself, you can do that here. 2 hollywood directs now know me by name because I did that. Goodluck in making you decision
+MrSoizes 2 Thank you! I really appreciate your answer. I will consider all this. I was thinking about get enrolled in an online school, which I think is not bad, but I know it's not the same experience as going presencial and less to VFS. I'm from Mexico and for me is more dificult to pay the tuition, so I'm considering move to Canada and see loan options.
Roger Baez You would have to get a school visa which would let you live in bc for the time you are going to school and give to a few months afterwords to try to find a job here. There are a lot of Mexicans at VFS, I'm friends with a lot of them and funny thing, my girlfriend is Mexican too. If you wanted to talk about the school in spanish with, I could hook you up. Good luck with your decision though :)
+MrSoizes 2 That would be great if I could have the chance to talk about the process with, thanks (Y)!
jason chan killed it, loved that.
4:39 this was my fave
Sliders, I believe
Perfect to make me want to be interested. I'm listening
the Princess Bride was in there. 👌🏼✨ that movie was my ish
those are some talented student
GREAT WORK
great shots...
2:50 and 6:27 are from the movie Along came Polly
That first guy is amazing!
this school is amazing
2:50 is from a movie about the Schindler Jews. That movie was good/sad
incredible very impressive
1:24 Morty! Morty! I want that Mulan McNugget schezwan sauce Morty! That's my series arc Morty!
Omg the first one is so gooooood
Love this! It's like it's made by Disney
I think that’s what they train for?
Where is 3:00 from??
i wonder if there is a way to make the texture more organic.
i think in pixar's inside out, the characters were given a fuzzy texture so that they don't look so sterile.
the video only shows the motion and movement = animation. So making the figures or textures is a complete different job.
What's the duration of the program, offsite or onsite etc etc? Sorry, i am gonna sleep now. Kindly advise.
I like the last animation b/c it was from a skit from Key and Peele.
Okay the lizard thing I swear was a part of the sleepy cabin podcast
5:03 must be the best one ;)
this is amazing ; ) gj
I like Xin Zhao, not for any particular reason. I did like Xin's the most.
Michael Chen’s is the best one.
SAM ORTIZ IS A LEGEND, and Jason chan
"Two people having.. eggs?" I honestly don't get that..
I think he was saying the painting reminds him of morning because it makes him think of two people eating eggs
2:14 what movie was that from ?
Are the assets provided to them? Im guessing the course work includes setting up and keying the animation.
2:14 and 4:15 are my favorites.
for the boxy characters, how do you rig the face to animate it?
Please more videos please.
0:22 I know that guy
I still want to know the source of that vampire clip where the girl thinks they're aren't any rules but the boy says there are
Heeeey, is that lizard Charlie from 'It's always Sunny'?
Did someone knows if I can found the rigg characters of these animation somewhere?
Can someone tell me the softwares used? I'm doing a school project and need a good animation software!
Maya by autodesk
and i'm still here....creating cubes.
sasa ha they are good but a lot of the characters look a like. I think they already have some kind models to dress and change.
I didn't know Xin Zhao started a career in 3d Modeling 4:59
6:26 Shaggy? My lord?
i wonder where the 2d animation school showcase is
College student here (getting a BAA first, then will pursue animation more strongly) I notice a lot of animation schools post videos of animations with generic characters. All the students seem to use the same models. Do you still teach Modeling, Rigging, UV, etc. etc. Or is there just a strong emphasis on the animation?
After reading the comments, I think I answered my own question. BUT another question: If all you focus on is animation, how long could the program possibly be? Are the classes structured like a traditional college? And finally, would having a BAA with an emphasis in animation effect my ability to enroll in an animation related college in the future?
Hey there! So we DO have a program for Modeling, Rigging, etc. You can check out the latest student showcase for those here: ruclips.net/video/xolX_Y6j5Pg/видео.html.
The Animation Program students learn with the free rigs that we provide, while the Character Program students create their own models and rigs.
As for classes, course duration, and applying to other animation colleges - you can find most of those answers on the AnimSchool website, where you can also chat live with an admissions counselor (during work hours): www.animschool.com/FAQ.aspx
For this kind of animation which software will be best
?
maya check autodesk.com
Better start with Blender (which can do mostly the same but is free) before you spend shitloads of money on something you are not sure about yet.
there is a 3 year free trial its kinda free check the student website version
Polska Pro I have the student 2017 version but that one is only for registered students and for beginners i still recommend Blender. It has everything you need and you can use it for everything without worring about the license. Also there is much more free content and tutorials for it online.
good to know thanks
1:03 oh please let that be Charlie Day’s voice
3:45 What About Bob? For the win
im looking for a 3d school: was checking your site and was wondering what were the cost for the program and if this school is valid even if im from Canada QC .
$540 per month or $1620 per term. We have students from Canada, yes.
i'm feeling that lizard
太帅了
5:30 makes me laugh
please teach me how to make 3d virtual chatbot in realtime ???
6:26 Shaggy is that you?
I always wonder, what makes the audio so muffled
It's probably old time movies or shows
They're all audio clips from movies, so the setting in which the dialogue takes place will effect how it sounds, for example an audio sample may be taken of a wide shot, in a large warehouse (or other spacious setting), so if you put it over an animation where the characters are framed in a close up, in a small space, it will sound weird in comparison.
Audio from older movies/shows (like deandra1735 commented) will also affect sound quality. And if the audio wasn't directly spliced (aka, someone re-recorded the audio then added it over the animation), that recording quality will make it sound off.
How do you choose these dialogue clips? Do you take recommendations?
YES
two people havin'... eggs?
welcolme to animschool reel, where everything as the same shiny shader and everything is glowing with no reason.
+NothernLight0 Personally I think it looks kinda nice! :D
+Abraham Animations well it is but it could be way better.
NothernLight0
True :)
+NothernLight0 lol this is not an lightning workshops but animation. I think the renders are really well done.
+NothernLight0 The reel focus is animation. Not lighting or rendering.
lol job land XD that one was great
1:01 fuse isn't even lot.
this is like diseny
4:39 Sliders?
Hey, one of them has my name on it :D
Love the animation but please make the people’s bodies more realistic.
6:24 to 6:43 - Comedy
why do some use good rigs and the other use shitty ones that are like Roblox characters
PactasticP85 probably different assignments.
because they're less distracting to work with. they are studying animation not making movies.
it takes too long to make one simple model. adding details make it a bit difficult to animate. especially if you're still a student. professional animators like Disney make more detailed characters, lighting, scenes, and other things. these people are still learning.
PactasticP85 depends on the classes I assume
One to practice body mechanics, the other to practice body mechanics + facial expressions.
4:19
5:00 xD
where i can find the full animations?
these are the full animations
Oh.
Daniel Lopes Lima these take a lot of time to come to the quality that it is at
7:06 lmao
Two people Having Eggs?? What? the F
ه
Blaz3Up // two eggs having peoples
I was wondering, who does the voices? is it the students too?
+Dom The voices are just clips from movies and shows that the students pick out themselves.
I wonder if students can record their own dialogue if they want to.
whats the name of the first rig?
+MubinSNM That's "Marshall"!
www.animschool.com/Characters.aspx
