This video is great because I am constantly telling my partner that his towels stink although he washes them weekly and he never uses the same towels twice in a week. He also uses fabric softener sheets. I don’t use the sheets because of skin sensitivity but I will use the method for towels.❤
The source of your partner's stinky towels may be related to those fabric softener sheets. Their primary function is to coat the laundry in wax to facilitate the illusion of softness. The problem with fabric softeners is that they are NOTORIOUS for trapping any stank odors because the coating of wax reduces the detergent's ability to remove grime. Using less detergent during every wash and replacing the fabric softener with Downy Rinse & Refresh should restore his laundry.
Thank you for sharing I did washed my towels with baking soda and hot water I’ll start to wash with vinegar and baking soda Many thanks and healthy 2024 🎆🙏🏻🎄
Smelly towels are not caused by detergent buildup (unless a cheap liquid detergent is used) but by bacteria and fabric softener buildup and washing in cold water. Those things cause a stinky gunk. A good detergent is designed to rinse out. Use enough of a powder detergent and hot water for towels, bed linens and everything you wear on your body. Our grandmothers never had stinky towels because they knew how to do laundry!
The best way to do it wash by hand.. washer machines don’t really do it well.. use the sink turn the water on keep keep rinsing ringing out, more water, until the water runs perfectly clear through the whole towel.. you’ll see you don’t have any issues.. like I have a few towels I’ve run through the washing machine on heavy load sometimes four times in a row and it if you take it and put in the sink and wash it once or twice you’re still see dirty water.. know if it’s done properly and the water is clean you won’t have that smell. And I’m talking about towels that are rancid. That smell like sulfur almost
Very good tip ...but is it safe for the washing machine to use this amount of vinegar....does it causes any harm to its internal structure ? Happy New year from Egypt.
This is the way. Fabric softener builds up in the washer internals and forms mold which in turn rots your laundry. Congress should step in and draft legislation that prohibits fabric softener.
Tried it today! Worked great. Throwback. I also washed the top of my stove with pink stuff (learned that from you too). Thank you!
Fantastic! Thanks for watching!

I was going to throw my towels away and buy new ones, i hope this works. Also ran a machine cleaning cycle with vinegar beforehand.
Does this work for side loaded

Happy New year from Egypt.
Yes 100%
Can this been done in a HE washer?
Yes
Definitely my washcloths. Will try and see if it works.
Let me know!!
Back to report that it didn't work on my washcloths. They still smell while air drying after use. :( BTW are you Jake Lawrence?@@MrGizmo211
I never use old nasty fabric softner on anything.

I use laudry soap and washing soda every wash; no detergent
Thanks for sharing!!
I use professional Laundry detergent and am as happy as larry.
Also clean the washer, it's unbelievable the buildup that can occur especially if you use fabric softener, nasty🤢
That actually looked like more than a cup of vinegar unless my eyes are deceiving me.😊
He only filled it halfway. It was 2 cup cup
