I'm glad they were helpful :) As for your question: The vinegar is acidic while baking soda and often the detergent is alkaline so they will neutralize each other. Baking soda and detergent is generally fine to mix unless you have bought some special detergent that is acidic :)
@@Organizing-TV Thank you so much Tor! Now I understand and I appreciate your help. All the other advice I had heard until now didn’t cover how vinegar and laundry detergent will neutralize each other and shouldn’t be used together. Thank you! 😁
I spray the pits of my cycling jerseys with oxyclean and them sit for 15 minutes. Them wash on delicate cycle. Works like a champ. Works on other athletic shirts as well.
How much do people sweat?!? My husband & I live on a beach in the tropics, we walk at least 3 miles every day after dinner, & return home dripping with sweat. We both wear synthetics, I wash our clothes the normal way, & our clothes don’t smell. 🤷♀️
Haha you’re lucky! My gym wear always smells horrendous. But I think the garments being stuck in the laundry basket for a few days also plays a role in the smell building up
I agree you’re lucky. For me it’s not the amount of sweating. It’s body chemistry and my clothes get very smelly too. Laundry detergent alone is not enough to get rid of the bad smells. It’s great you don’t have this problem. Thank you for the video help.

Thank you for your tips. Do you know why vinegar and baking soda don’t mix with detergent? How does it neutralize the detergent? Thank you. 😊

Maybe you’re just used to your smell 🤷🏾♀️ I’m sure others can smell it.
It's a genetic thing and some medications cause it too. My sweat stopped smelling after using a silver based deodorant
