Vodka + Water in a Spray Bottle. It's how we do it for costumes in theatre :) Many costumes can't be washed or dry cleaned. Works wonders. No chemicals or 'cover up' scents involved (and nothing smells like vodka). I use it at home too. Easiest option out there (imo)

Another idea is to use Natures Miracle skunk odor remover in your wash. Yes, found this when my big dog would try to play with the skunks on our property. Use a capful in any load of washable clothes and will remove any mildewy or old clothes smell from your clothes. It neutralizes and not a perfume cover up. It’s a bio-enzyme and stops the odor. It’s great to use on your bedsheets and towels too.

I'll have to try some of these. I've always felt bad about this, because I struggled with mental health stuff for a long time, and many things, including laundry piled up.... And I was worried I would have to get rid of so much clothing. Other searches I did said that if you clothes still smell after washing or using an oxy-clean type thing, then you would NEVER get the smell out. I truly hope that's not the case!

I love all your videos, but the scientist in me needs to say it. Freezing clothes will kill some bacteria but many will survive and repopulate after clothes are back from the freezer. In the lab, we keep our bacteria’s frozen, so we know they will grow back. I do see how clothes may smell refreshed after the freezer time, but the bacterials load is just paused not eliminated. But as long as they feel fresh enjoy wear it one more time, I guess it ok:))😊

This was very informative. I didn’t know some of the ways. I have a steamer, but I usually just spray what I want to wear with the Downey wrinkle release, and put whatever it is in the bathroom when I take a shower. So the steam from the shower will help with the wrinkles. I knew the freezer one. I have never tried it. I know if you put your jeans in the freezer when you take them out, you can wear them a few more times without washing them.

Has anyone ever used original Pine-Sol in your washing machine to clean your stinky clothing or when you hand wash your clothing.
And use plain white vinegar and a few drops of pure essential oil.
And for the dryer use some witch hazel and some pure essential oil with water in a glass spray bottle and spray it on a wooly ball and toss it in the dryer with your laundry.
Also I heard by hanging your laundry outside in the winter time kills bacteria and freshens up your clothing.
I have personally use Pine-Sol and some white vinegar to do a deep washing machine cleaning every three months.
And just use white vinegar with some pure essential lavender oil and a few drops of tea tree oil as my fabric softener.
And my clothing smell and feel so soft and clean.
    I guess whatever works .
And it never hurts to try a new way in cleaning your clothing.

This is a mock-dry cleaning process where you put your smelly cloth in the dryer with a sheet, agitate on warm for 20 minutes and your garment is totally revived and fresh smelling. Truly amazing ! The laundry detergent, especially the scent pellets are adding to the problems. But when you look at the chemistry of the polyester synthetic fibers, and you're not washing out the soups, the Sent sookers and even dryer sheets. When that stuff stays into the fibers that holds the bacteria, creating the odor. Quick, so how do you break that down and get that out?

I really did not think I could have drenched them in hand sanitizer over night and then wash in a cooler temp. If not the only option might be to throw away the worst ones, it will cost money , even if you buy thrift clothes but it will save you time , effort, soap, water and electricity.

Ok can someone tell me if you got pets and an old person who stinks . Your clothes are clean in your closet but people say you stink. Especially family members. 😊

Um.. vinegar/water (50/50) + a few drops of essential oil. Mix in a spray bottle and spray lightly on the clothes. Air dry and that's it

No, sorry you lost my interest at scent pellets, stale perfume smells are harder to get rid if than musty smells. Adding perfume helps nothing and frankly this is a worrying trend, perfume yourself, your home, your laundry it's a silent killer.
I'm just trying to find a way to remove scent booster and spray airfreshner nastiness from a couple of e bay purchases.
