I love the towel hack. Live in Florida and hadbeach towels everywhere, and they were a mess! Now I can have a bag in laundry room and car ready to go for the grandkids to find their favorite. No mess of digging through a pile of towels. Thanks!
I do that with the fitted sheet, but to make it easier to place the top sheet evenly across the bed, I fold the top two corners inside out so the center fold can be placed down the center of the mattress. No more moving around to get it centered.
In England, some flats are very small, we dont even have a separate cupboard for sheets, we have a space in a clothes wardrobe. I do love the way you use your space well. Thanks so much, it allows me to think outside the box, to create new ways to use space. Really appreciate your hard work. And thanks, I need to get a grout pen, oh yes!!!
TheShayde2000 I came to make same comment almost verbatim. Am 67. And life is so short I also quit folding my unders & instead stuff ‘em in a box in my drawer so they don’t get mixed up with other things. Yep, I got a box in my drawer for my drawers.
I’ve folded my fitted sheets this way for decades. Then I broke my shoulder & had to get a replacement. I could still fold my fitted sheets, though it was a challenge. Then we changed from a queen size bed to a king size. I’m 5’1”. Between my height, shoulder & king size sheets, I gave up! 😂 Now I just take the sheets off, wash them, & put them back on. It works well during bathroom cleaning for all the 'spraying' done by the poor aim of the men and boys in my family.😂😂😂 How can you miss a hole that big?😅
I love your hacks! As far as putting sheets and towels on a carpet, if you wear your shoes in the house, there is ecoli and chemicals on your shoes. Don't just throw away those chicken bones! Place them into a crock pot with some water, dry bay leaves, peppercorns, salt & a cut up onion - cook for about 4 hrs on high or on low overnight -- makes the best chicken stock for soups or gravy!
Throwing away bones is such a waste. I get a rotisserie chicken 2-3 times a month & save all the bones, then boil them up every 2-3 months. Once the stock is done, to save freezer space, after removing the solids, i boil it down so it's very concentrated & then freeze it in ice cube trays. When frozen, i transfer to a ziplock.
The fitted sheet is too complicated! lol I just put them back on my bed! lol Some of these hacks should be called Slap me's! lol. (4 being so dumb!) The mop hack is good 4 cleaning walls 2. 😊 Love your video tho....
I don't have to fold my sheets as I only have one set- wash and put back on! My linen closet is now my pantry😆. I saw your rec for WM men's jeans last summer- bought 4 in 2 styles for less than $20 each. My absolute favorites-far better than $70 Talbots. Love them!!
Loved the rotisserie chicken hack!! I was SO excited that I DROVE 20 minutes to show my mom!! She was wide eyed and her jaw dropped!! We have joked on HOW MUCH we LUV the chicken but HATE SLIMY hands!!! Thank you!!!❤❤❤
I keep non-powdered latex gloves in my kitchen just for these types of thing because I hate how raw meat feels. You can buy non-latex gloves if you have an allergy. With the gloves I've found that I don't mind raw eggs, raw meat, anything slimy... and it's faster so I can move from one thing to another by just taking off the gloves.
We are vegetarians, but I make a chicken stew for my daughter in-law, that she loves. This hack is so much better than pulling each piece off the bone!!
I use shaving cream to clean the intial gunk off my outdoor grill-slather it on all over, leave it then wipe off with either paper towels (if it's really bad) or microfiber towels. Then I rinse off and wash the grill parts where you cook (so it's safe to cook food on with no residue). I was skeptical at first but it worked amazingly well and smelled so good.
All great ideas. For your child that loves grapes (Like I Do) have you tried freezing them. Place the loose grapes in a freezer bag and then move them around so they lay in one layer. This way they won't clump together. Once frozen, pop one in your mouth and the warmth will soften the grape. So refreshing & I swear they taste even sweeter.
I like to simmer the leftover chicken bones (leaving a little meat on them), add mixed vegetables, diced potato, etc., add spices depending on my mood. Makes a great soup.
Agree! Why launder them if you’re going to put them on the floor that has all sorts of germs especially if you don’t take your shoes off when entering your house (and don’t make guest take off their shoes).
In my young days, I worked at a laundromat. I folded this way all of the time! I'd put the first "pinched" corner on my shoulder while fixing up the next 2 corners. Truthfully, I've been doing this so long that I didn't realize others didn't know it 😊
My husband worked in a job where we got transferred all the time in all sorts of cities. And I found shaving cream for greasy cabinets a great time saver.
Another washing hack - hang ur pants upside down by the legs. If you put the pegs across one side of the leg hem you won't get awful peg marks BUT hanging them upside down means the thickest part - the waistband & pockets) are the part flapping in the wind so they dry much quicker. Also, if you have pants that are quite thick material (like my husband's work pants) & the pockets take ages to dry or are always a bit damp, hang the pants inside out as well
She has a whole video on why to buy men's jeans. The price is 10X cheaper and they fit great. That video absolutely blew my mind. It's the first half of this video: ruclips.net/video/B3Zs3cTdNfA/видео.html
@@barbarastepp7077 I didn't get really irritated until I ruined a phone by having it fall out of my pocket onto my gravel driveway, so I really identify with this.
My son is going to REALLY appreciate this hack. I cultivated his enthusiam to help when he was a toddler...by the time he was 13, he volunteered to cook Christmas Dinner (as I was ill). His meal included EVERYONE'S favourite dishes...and he very easily had ever dish READY at the same time. Now, at 30, he is a phenominal, creative, inventive cook. He uses PARCHED Parchment DAILY. My patience and delight at his toddler enthusiasm had no ulterior motive...I simply LOVED spending TIME with him. I love to use Parchment "packages" for various sides/main dishes. The food steams and cooks BEAUTIFULLY.
A hack for your hack: instead of vaseline for bandages perhaps using an oil (olive, coconut, vegetable, etc) on the sticky strips would penetrate faster to dissolve the adhesive on the skin.
AND you wouldn't be stuck with that huge glob of vaseline all over your arm to try & clean off!! I find one lil cotton ball with a dab of baby oil does the trick everytime, then I just rub the remainder into my skin. Easy peasy. Less Mess!
OMG i love you. the hacks are solid. what i am on bent knee to you is your speed of talk, your timbre, your snappy jokes, YOUR CLEAR PRONUNCIATION! well done, you!
My mom would ALWAYS iron the sheets and bedding! She literally couldn't sleep on unironed sheets! I knew by the tender age of 5 that if I had a family when I grew up I WOULD NEVER EVER BE doing the same lol!
@@kristen8015, I can relate! My mom did the same thing, and it was a household of 7 people! She used to have me do it too when I was little so I could get some practice with ironing lol
After an MVA when a DUI destroyed my physicality, I relearned so many things. The most important was sheet's are fine, off of the clothes line, draped over the dresser until I strip the bed again. I live alone, and I am more concerned with what I am able to accomplish. 😂
@@virginiabaker4471💯 Exactly! I couldn't figure out why she needed to waste another ziplock bag -- especially when we all should be trying to use fewer single use plastics rather than more 🤷🏼♀️
Here's an additional hack when removing sticky labels with hot air. Once you have the label off, pat the sticky side against the adhesive residue, if any, on the bottle, several times. It will pick up quite a bit more of the adhesive remaining on the bottle, and make further removal just a little easier.
Shaving foam works very well for cleaning upholstery. When my children were little and spilled or smushed stuff into couch cushions, I’d foam the cushions, work it into the fabric with a wet rag, let it dry, and then vacuum it a few hours later.
You folded that fitted sheet the hardest way possible.. There is a way to fold it in less than half that time, and so much easier.. Lay it out, fold all the side in about one foot and make a perfect square, then fold it the way you fold the flat one.. Put it all in one of the pillowcases.. Easy peasy lemon squeezy
That IS a good idea. The only reason I wouldn't choose it is that laying a king size sheet out flat (even a fitted one) is problematic, since I fold on a countertop (which isn't big enough).
I usually roll my towels but I love the little added spa part. For my sheets I also put them together, the only thing is I don't fold my pillowcases. I just put them in half lengthwise and lay them down on the fitted sheet, it just seems to have a few fewer creases, but I enjoyed your video. Nice job.
Borax is the best to clean walls but I don’t use magic erasers because they remove my paint. I just use microfiber rag, borax dissolved in hot water. So good! Cleaned everything off the walls. The best to clean walls.
This. Any abrasive cleaner is going to take just enough paint off the wall to change the texture and you'll have a smooth glossy patch there forever after.
You can also handle parchment paper easily by wadding it into a ball, unwadding it, then placing it where you want it, no water necessary. I love the cereal box hack!
Once grapes are off the stem, put them in a bowl with/lid (about 2x size needed to fill bowl) add (depending on amount of grapes) 1-2tbs baking soda 1-2 tbs salt. Shake, rattle & roll for a few minutes. Rinse well. You will have not only CLEAN grapes but beautifully SHINY grapes! Squeaky clean baby!!! 😊
And supposedly, adding a little vinegar to the soda/salt and soaking a little, will neutralize or wash off pesticides, which grapes are full of. Then rinse well!!!
I bought Bar Keepers Friend a few years ago when I saw it recommended on another RUclips video. I found it to be overly priced and it doesn’t work any better than Ajax or Comet. Bar Keepers friend is a rip off.
The jeans back may work if you're slim or built more straight up & down hip to waist and have longer legs, but most women's jeans haven't fit my curves since I was 13, and I'm short enough that women's "short" lengths are too long for me. They just don't make men's jeans in the dimension combos to fit my body
Agree! It works if the waist isn't a much smaller measurement than the hips. But for a defined waist, the only way to be able to wear men's jeans is while wearing a belt.
I'm in the same boat. My waist is quite a bit smaller than my hips. Hell, even most women's jeans don't fit me well. Finding jeans that don't gape around my waist is a trial.
I have a really swayed back so my bum sticks out like J-Lo lol but it means jeans often gape at the back. I find belts pretty uncomfy n they can cut into you when you sit down but I've discovered something & been using it for prob 15 years - elastic belts! They're usually in NZ anyway, in the men's section/stores but they are 1000x more comfy then a regular belt n don't cut it when you sit down!
Another idea for us shortie legged peeps is if you aren't overly nifty with a sewing machine then take them to a tailor n get them to put the double stitched hem on the bottom. That way jeans look like they're made that way/length, rather than just as standard hem which can look a bit odd on some jeans. Also, I've known ppl to sew wide, non rolling elastic into the back half of the jeans waistband. That way it gathers in without the need of a belt, but if ur "back gape" (my god that sounds like a rude innuendo but I swear it's not 🤣🤣) is too big then it'll just scrunch at the back n look stupid n the extra denim would prob cut into ur skin eventually. If anyone wants a link to the type of elastic belts I buy just lmk n I can post a link to the ones I buy in NZ so you can get an idea of the type I mean 😃
Sticky labels! I learned while I was in the hospital that “adhesive remover wipes” work great! They used these to remove the leftover stickiness from my bandages and I’ve found they work great removing sticky anything.
I think I’m gonna take my mop and literally mop everything in my house after watching this video. My bedroom walls, my cabinets, and any other flats surface at my house! I am actually looking forward to this! Ty
I couldn't help thinking when you were doing the fitted sheet tutorial how we former "domestic goddesses" are finding ourselves on the scrap heap of life after devoting the majority of our selves to endless tasks such as this, that our families took for granted and minute by minute, hour by hour month by month year by year. We are unsung heros with low ball social security. The kids endlessly needing you now, who are scuffing the walls, may be invisible tomorrow. So my suggestion as a senior lady is this, begin to delegate as early as possible. Take a weekend vacation by yourself or with girlfriends, at least 2 to 4 long weekends per year, without kids or husbands. Every now and again stop the cleaning and pickup the art supplies. Otherwise you'll find yourself amongst the forgotten, who are trying to remember who they are/were/are. It doesn't matter that I got folding fitted sheets to a ninja like reflex. No one appreciates my skill.
This made me tear up and also woke me up. I’m a 38 year old SAHM and finding myself fearing when my youngest isn’t so needy because… where will my importance lie?
These are thoughts one should have earlier rather than later. Anyhoo, what comes to mind is to re-skill, get a part time job, expand your network outside friends and family, and spend some time researching top tier divorce lawyers.
When I worked in a nursing home patients are usually given a shower on certain days. Obviously if you are trying to get them up and ready for the day you need to clean them up first. We kept a few cans of shaving cream on the supply cart and used it in place of soap to get your patients bottoms clean. Just be careful not to get crazy with it or you’ll be forever getting it cleaned up. If you are taking care of a loved one at home I hope this tip helps. Also with the parchment paper you can try rolling it in the opposite direction when you pull it off the roll.
I loved, loved, loved seeing you fold your sheets like I do! Once you master the fitted sheet folding it takes no longer to fold your linens than if you struggle doing it all the time, it minimizes wrinkles and folding the fitted sheet and pillow cases in the flat sheet makes it easy to make a bed because every item for that size bed is contained in one bundle. I know many people have no desire or care to properly fold sheets this way and stack them neatly like you did, but it’s not just about an aesthetic look it’s about not have a jungle in your linen closet to dig through or fall on you as you look for the right items to make a bed- I also know folks who only keep 1 set of sheets for each bed so they don’t have to fold the sheets after laundering- each to their own I guess! Thanks for the tips.
I fold my sheets and clothes in mid air on top of the basket since i consider the ground and any bed not literally just done as dirty surfaces. Also i learned to fold the contour sheet by taking the corners tips and leaving the elastic loose in the middle and fold like anything else, fold in middle then again and again until you fold in thirds or twice depending on need or space. I also marie condo all clothes.
Will you come to my house and fold my sheets please. I can get the 4 corners together, but after that and with a lot of concentration , I lose it and just roll it up into a ball. Lastly I get a drink 😂
@writerinfact1768 our window is in the shower. Old house which was built in 1921 probably before they had showers. You literally stand in front of the window to shower. Cloudy contact paper on the window lets light in but you can't see in. You have to be on our property to see the window itself.
I rub a few drops of dish soap on a dry paper towel onto the dry mirror. Rub until streaks are almost gone. Next time you shower, it's like magic. (I learned this from a staff member at my gym.)
I'm usually not interested in the hacks I have seen but you completely changed my mind. You packed a lot of good info into this offering. I'm so glad I watched this and look forward to not only using some of these hacks but your next video. Keep up the good work! And thank you!
I bought a butternut squash maybe ten years ago and thought it would be my last after it seemed so hard to cut safely. It seemed like I was trying to cut a LOG! I saw a guy on TikTok or Instagram (neither of which I'm on -- someone posted his video to RUclips or their website) about a year ago, and he couldn't believe it took him until he was 30 (or was it 40?) to learn the rolling motion while cutting the butternut squash. He demonstrated it on the video. Game changer! I no longer avoid buying butternut squash now that I know that trick. Made homemade butternut squash soup with the first one I bought after knowing I could cut it easily.
teachers on the last day of school put shaving cream on students' desks and let the kids have fun. Their room smells good and the desks are clean! A win/win 😂
as an airbnb host I already knew most of these. I'm pretty swift with the fitted sheet, and rolling towels is essential! my laundry room is my command centre, sheets and towels being folded well is essential. I did learn the mop trick from you a while ago, very good!
Your fitted sheet hack was spot on...but don't finish folding it on the floor, do it on your bed or a sofa because you'll end up with "stuff" from the floor on your freshly washed sheets 😉😉😉😉
@@daveandrade8189True, but it is just the THOUGHT and SIGHT of it being done on the FLOOR and picking up whatever tiny crud might be there ending up on your bedsheets (crumbs, pet hair, crumbs, etc.) - ick. Please use a countertop or tabletop. Also, that looks pretty darned labor intensive for just one sheet. Otherwise some great tips and methods here!
Exactly my thought, too. Just something icky about putting clean bedsheets on the floor regardless how clean that floor is! A counter or table or leather sofa would be much better.
@@julias.4980 Honestly, I've been folding fitted sheets for more than 60 years and it gets pretty fast and intuitive rather quickly. Not really labor intensive at all. I am TOTALLY with you, though, on the floor. I am not going to sleep on sheets that have been folded on the floor. No matter how clean the floor is, it isn't clean enough.
That's how I fold my fitted sheets, BUT when you hang them on the line to dry hang them like a U shape, so one edge on one line then other edge on the next part of the line (the 2 outer lines of ur typical 4 sided square clotheslines as they're obv the longest, plus being hung over the 2 lines makes them dry quicker). Peg ur sheet corners at each end, then when you get ur washing in you can fold the corners into each other as you take it off the line & it stops ur sheets getting all creased - so beautiful & smooth when you put new sheets on ur bed!! A trampoline is fab for folding the sheets as you go, esp if u have pets & don't wanna fold ur sheets on the floor. Also, I fold my matching duvet cover & pillowcases with the cases inside the folds of the duvet. When you've folded it & are about to do the last 2 or 3 folds, put ur folded matching cases inside it before/as you fold the cover - you never lose ur matching cases!
New realization! I have been fold fitted sheets & creating bundles & zipping them back in their original plastic packages. I have 2 sets for warm weather & 2 flannel sets for cold weather. I just realized it’s because we didn’t have a dryer (so they wouldn’t necessarily dry by nightfall) for almost 40 yrs of marriage. Now we have a dryer so I’m considering eliminating 2 more set and only folding the bundles twice a year. This will save space as well as time. I do feel a sense of satisfaction from zipping the neatly packaged sheet set together and am not willing to give up flannels. Not sure how I’ll handle the bed being unmade while the laundry is being done but as I work toward minimalism, this excites me! Thanks bor the video & comments😁
Wow that fitted sheet folding was crazy and time consuming.. I just half and roll my fitted sheets.. works great..takes seconds and they stack like rolled towels .
It takes less than 1 minute to fold a fitted sheet that way, once you’ve done it just a time or two. I’ve folded them that way for decades. For me, it’s worth a few extra seconds to be able to crawl into nice smooth sheets.
If you have the time and desire, you can freeze the carcass until you collected enough chicken bones to make a stock/broth. Just boil/simmer the bones in water for a few hours, strain, and freeze the broth in an ice tray. Stock is anywhere from $2-$4 depending on the brand. Yet, its so easy to make and it makes me feel less wasteful. Just some food for thought and your belly! 🙂
I already roll my towels but the spa trick is great…I’m going to try that. My go to’ for removing sticky residue is to rub it with eucalyptus oil. Works every time and smells great too.
I appreciate your work on folding the fitted sheet. But to be honest with myself, I’m not gonna bother. I try to fold, it doesn’t work I get frustrated and I put it in a blob. I can even make that blob look folded :-)
I spread my fitted sheet flat on my bed, then fold the elasticated edges inwards so I am left with a smooth rectangle. This is easy to fold neatly, and no wrestling with acres of material.
These are great!! Thank you!! I did know the one about the clothes hanger and Command hooks. It worked well, but the clips were a little loose. So know I use a couple of those big binder clips.
As you recommended, I used the spin mop on my cabinets! Did my walls, doors, baseboards, doors!!! Absolutely ❤ it! Not a fan on the floors but glad I bought it!
When I injured my back I wasn’t able to make my bed properly, so I ended up putting my fitted sheet over the mattress pad. Wow, what a miracle idea! It saved my back from that painful position! Thx for all your great ideas!
Nice job, i love folding sheets. The challenge for me is to fold everything, style, size, brand whatever in such a way that all you stacks are even and uniform when you put them in your linen closet or wherever you keep them doesn't matter. I enjoyed your vidio and thanks for sharing. ☮️💜
I use the magic eraser to clean my glass shower doors. It works very well and then I squeegee them. BE CAREFUL not to touch the hardware or they’ll tarnish.
I love the way you speak about things so whatever-ly! It's amazing, totally my language... mom language maybe. Fully enjoyed your instructions! Thanks mama lady!
Most of these hacks I’ve done for years… I’m surprised that people don’t know how to fold a fitted sheet, I’ve been folding them just like this for as long as I can remember… but it does not take nearly as long or as complicated as it seemed in the video. It’s really pretty quick especially when you do it a couple times. Also instead of bundling sets together with the flat sheet wrapped around I just stick the bundle inside one of the pillow cases from the set and wrap the excess around to close it up, but I do like the flat sheet idea also!
I will give this way a try...but a friend's mom was a homemaker...and she could fold fitted and flat sheets in such a way that you could not tell which was fitted and which wasn't....meaning they were both squarish and VERY flat once folded. I do not know how she did it...I keep hoping someone has hints on the internet.
Definitely using the parchment paper, rotisserie chicken, jeans & cookbook hacks. My military daughter in law tried to show me how to fold sheets like that but I was like thanks but I’ll just fold up my sheets as neatly as I can & put them inside the coordinating pillow case😂.
I turn one pillow case inside out and that's the one i fill. If it falls on the floor you don't have to wash it. Just brush off and turn it right side out and you use the clean side
Kallie, you are the only person who has ever successfully taught me to fold a fitted sheet. I found that video on your channel a few years ago and it truly changed my life! I had tried several other videos before yours, including Martha Stewart, and they all sucked😂. YOU are the Martha Stewart of folded fitted sheets!
There is also a hack, but I cant remember exactly how it goes, but when making the bed, if you start in one certain corner of mattress, put corner of fitted sheet on that corner, guarantees you'll be putting the sheet on correctly everytime....instead of trying to fit it on, just to find you're using the wrong side of your sheet...... (OR.....am I the only one that struggles with that??? ) Sound familiar to anyone???
Great tips! My mom showed me how to fold fitted sheets when I was a kid. Generally I don't do it because I just put the sheets back on the bed, but this is still good to know.
In the “olden days” before fitted bottom sheets our bed changing rule was for washing was: “top on the bottom and the bottom off.” Cut down on the laundry. I’m now 80 and still remember that rhyme. 😊
I love the beach towel hack and the grape hack. I'm almost 76 and could have used these for many years. Better late than never!
Yep. I'm 64 and lost decades not knowing these!
I love the towel hack. Live in Florida and hadbeach towels everywhere, and they were a mess! Now I can have a bag in laundry room and car ready to go for the grandkids to find their favorite. No mess of digging through a pile of towels. Thanks!

Thanks for actual practical hacks that real people will use!
When your metal plug gets stuck in the plug hole ..use a Fridge magnet to get it out 5:31
The easiest way is to when u take your sheets off to wash them, just put them back on when dried. No folding
I do that with the fitted sheet, but to make it easier to place the top sheet evenly across the bed, I fold the top two corners inside out so the center fold can be placed down the center of the mattress. No more moving around to get it centered.
Yes!!! IF u can do it that way!!
Awesome idea if you don't need any extras. However, most people have at least one extra sheet set.
Most people have extra sheets. Necessary for those unexpected accidents, night sweats, vomiting at night etc.

Yeah, I never intentionally put blankets or sheets or towels on my floor. I folded or rolled the beach towels on my bed!! Love that idea.
❤I like. Down 2 earth...gonna try parchment paper😂
I think I'll subscribe
Love these hacks. My favorite is taping a bracelet to easily hook it.
I add a carrot and celery stalk 2. Celery leaves are good to put in and remove when cooked.
The fitted sheet is too complicated! lol I just put them back on my bed! lol
Some of these hacks should be called Slap me's! lol. (4 being so dumb!)
The mop hack is good 4 cleaning walls 2. 😊
Love your video tho....
Especially if it's a rotisserie chicken
I also add carrot, celery and fresh parsley to the mix when making broth.
Thank you!!!❤❤❤
I just ground mine up for a bone broth for the garden.

Good thinking ✨😊
Or you could put the top sheet, bottom sheet and one pillowcase INSIDE of the second pillowcase.
Which makes the bundle stick together even if the pile is not-so-nice.
That's how I do it, as well.
Was coming to say this
do this too. 😊
Exactly!! Why do it any other way?!
With the zip top bag, roll the zip part outside the bag. It holds it open and you don't get crud in the zipper!
Thank you - another great idea!
Yup that's how I do mine too! Keeps it open plus no drips n dribbles of whatever get into the zip part or outside the bag 🙂
Great tip! Thank you.
Wow. Why didn’t I think of that. Thanks. 😊
Love that. Thank you.
The frozen ones make great ice cubes for summer drinks.
They are awesome. My mom did this a couple years ago and wow, they are so good and yes, taste even sweeter. And refreshing on a hot day.
Grapes, uncut, are a choking hazard.
I like to simmer the leftover chicken bones (leaving a little meat on them), add mixed vegetables, diced potato, etc., add spices depending on my mood. Makes a great soup.
I fold on the bed instead of the floor
Most of us do😂
Yes my ocd kicked in on that lol
Oh my goodness, yes!!
I'm not a full-fledged germaphobe, but I would NEVER fold laundry on the floor! 😬😖
Agree! Why launder them if you’re going to put them on the floor that has all sorts of germs especially if you don’t take your shoes off when entering your house (and don’t make guest take off their shoes).

The scotch tape hack for putting on a bracelet was mind blowing 🤯. Simple solution for an issue I’ve had for 60 years!
Great especially for seniors.
@@CatherineBlaine-o9w Yes! 👏🏻
I've seen this hack so many times lately & have never struggled to put on my bracelets.
I always used a large paper clip, but tape sounds easier.
I lived alone so this is one tip I am going to use.
In my young days, I worked at a laundromat. I folded this way all of the time! I'd put the first "pinched" corner on my shoulder while fixing up the next 2 corners. Truthfully, I've been doing this so long that I didn't realize others didn't know it 😊
Iv always done it this way, never realized other's didn't lol
Me too, and my daddy owned laundromats, and I worked at them in my school summer breaks! Laundry is so easy after all that practice.
My husband worked in a job where we got transferred all the time in all sorts of cities. And I found shaving cream for greasy cabinets a great time saver.
I wonder if you can use shaving cream on wooden cupboards from the mid 1950s.
I would try a spot to be sure.
@@Joce123: I’m going to try it🤪

🤣😂🤣😂
After you've done it a few times, it's very quick to do. Seemed extra long to describe.
Not nobody 😂 all mine go kinda folded and then thrown in a pillowcase
Life’s too short .. screw fitted sheets.. my nemesis.. 😂😂
Another washing hack - hang ur pants upside down by the legs. If you put the pegs across one side of the leg hem you won't get awful peg marks BUT hanging them upside down means the thickest part - the waistband & pockets) are the part flapping in the wind so they dry much quicker. Also, if you have pants that are quite thick material (like my husband's work pants) & the pockets take ages to dry or are always a bit damp, hang the pants inside out as well
I do this and it’s brilliant.
You missed the best part about buying jeans from the men's section, and that's the fact that they're hoarding all the pocket space over there. 😂
She has a whole video on why to buy men's jeans. The price is 10X cheaper and they fit great. That video absolutely blew my mind. It's the first half of this video: ruclips.net/video/B3Zs3cTdNfA/видео.html
Yes! Even pajama pants.
I always wondered why are our pockets soooo small
YES!! It is SO annoying that women's jean pockets are so small...and yet they keep making those darn phones bigger and bigger! Do the math designers!😊
@@barbarastepp7077 I didn't get really irritated until I ruined a phone by having it fall out of my pocket onto my gravel driveway, so I really identify with this.
I never thought that about parchment paper!!! It’s dehydrated! 😮🎉
Another hack is to just screw up the parchment paper. Does the same thing.
I just crumple mine up and then smooth them into the dish
@@judiseward4226 lol i will try that too 🤣
My son is going to REALLY appreciate this hack.
Yep. It's kind of 'parched'...
Easy peasy. Less Mess!
Great idea. I try to avoid Vaseline because it's a petroleum product, not good for our body to absorb.

The tips for grapes and chicken are revolutionary!😊
Yes!
I literally just pulled each grape off the other day n put in bags for snacks🤦🏻♀️
I don't use a towel, as I'm running water over them, I just use my hands to 'rub' the stems away. Same concept but without the lint from your towel. 😊
But just use the bag that the chicken came in to pull it apart!
Hey Sheri, how are you doing today 🌹.. I'm honestly not really that social media person
Yeah I’m not sure who didn’t realize but they magic is just scrubbing away the actual surface of the paint/material. Yikes!
The magic eraser thingys are great for the bathtub and sink, I've noticed. Walls not so much. White tennis shoes too.
I like Murphy's Oil to wash walls, leather furniture.
Borax l❤
I just noticed the silverware marks on my beautiful plates and was so sad about it. Can't wait to try this! Thank you!
Just pressing the parchment paper into a ball will work fine without needing to get it wet. It's the wrinkling that does the magic, not the water 😅
I was going to say that but you did for me!😊
But, wait! You can't use the 'parched' joke 😁😁🤣🤣
That’s what I’ve always done, it works great.
Wow great idea thanks
Ya that’s what my grandma taught me, just crinkle it up
You can also handle parchment paper easily by wadding it into a ball, unwadding it, then placing it where you want it, no water necessary. I love the cereal box hack!
Yep. Was going to say this. Absolutely no need to waste water, just scrunch and un-scrunch. Works every time
Once grapes are off the stem, put them in a bowl with/lid (about 2x size needed to fill bowl) add (depending on amount of grapes) 1-2tbs baking soda 1-2 tbs salt. Shake, rattle & roll for a few minutes. Rinse well. You will have not only CLEAN grapes but beautifully SHINY grapes! Squeaky clean baby!!! 😊
Little vinegar in a bowl of warm water will kil most all germs in 10 minutes. One Tbs per half gallon (= 2 quarts ). The rinse with cool water
And supposedly, adding a little vinegar to the soda/salt and soaking a little, will neutralize or wash off pesticides, which grapes are full of. Then rinse well!!!

Try CAPRI pants! My daughter is 4'11"😊
Another idea for us shortie legged peeps is if you aren't overly nifty with a sewing machine then take them to a tailor n get them to put the double stitched hem on the bottom.

A word of caution for using RainX in the shower. Do NOT let any overspray hit the bottom of tub/shower. That could be a recipe for a major fall...

That's why I do with parchment paper, but hey, I'm up for trying new ways! Thx! Great idea for using shaving cream for bathrooms and cleaning too!
They make flat ones now. Great for cookie sheets.
Your fitted sheet hack was spot on...but don't finish folding it on the floor, do it on your bed or a sofa because you'll end up with "stuff" from the floor on your freshly washed sheets 😉😉😉😉
Her floors are probably spotless.
The rotisserie chicken hack!!!! 🤯 these are alll great hacks!!!!
You can also use coconut oil or vegetable oil to get your Band-Aids off
Or Castor oil.
I already roll my towels but the spa trick is great…I’m going to try that. My go to’ for removing sticky residue is to rub it with eucalyptus oil. Works every time and smells great too.
OMG Wetting the parchment is such a good tip. Thank you.
You can also take a bandaid off by letting a warm wet rag sit on it for a few minutes. Peels write off. Or in the bathtub or shower.
I appreciate your work on folding the fitted sheet. But to be honest with myself, I’m not gonna bother. I try to fold, it doesn’t work I get frustrated and I put it in a blob. I can even make that blob look folded :-)
Same here, but I will give this a try.
I use binder clips for just about everything! Cereal boxes, and open bags in the freezer are my two fave uses.
Rather than the pink stuff you can also just make a small paste of cream of tartar and dish soap.
That's even better!
Thank you. Don't like so many chemicals. 😊
Or, you know, who cares. I use my dishes to eat off of, not to impress others. :p
Cheap brand of toothpaste is better than the pink stuff any day!
also just crunch up parchment paper and its easy to use
That’s what I do too.
I can here to say this too, works great. A benefit is that it also helps with any frustration :)
Im still gonna ball up my fitted sheets and stuff them in the linen closet. 😂
I love PINK STUFF! I use it all the time and have bought it for gifts for friends.
Cream of tartar takes that stuff off your white plates too.
And that’s non toxic😃👍
Wow ! The shaving cream in & around the toilet soooo genius ! Gotta try this one ! New subbie here! Loving the hacks !
Fantastic hacks of which some I have never done! The only one I did know how to do for decades was how to fold a sheet. Thanks for sharing.
Love these hacks especially the grater for herbs! I appreciate your channel!
Definitely using the parchment paper, rotisserie chicken, jeans & cookbook hacks. My military daughter in law tried to show me how to fold sheets like that but I was like thanks but I’ll just fold up my sheets as neatly as I can & put them inside the coordinating pillow case😂.
Mine go in a bin so all you see are the pillowcases on top
I turn one pillow case inside out and that's the one i fill. If it falls on the floor you don't have to wash it. Just brush off and turn it right side out and you use the clean side
@@lynhanna917 That’s a good idea. Tfs❤️
The folding hacks reminded me of an episode of Step by step where the mother was showing how to make a "happy towel" 😄
I was told to crumple parchment to get it to fit, but adding water too? I’ve got to try that next! This is a gem of a video.
Andrea Jean Cleaning 😊
She's fantastic! My house is much cleaner since subscribing to her channel.
@@lynnbabe678 she is! I just love her
The parchment paper hack is the best! I need to remember that.
There is also a hack, but I cant remember exactly how it goes, but when making the bed, if you start in one certain corner of mattress, put corner of
fitted sheet on that corner, guarantees you'll be putting the sheet on correctly everytime....instead of trying to fit it on, just to find you're using the wrong
side of your sheet...... (OR.....am I the only one that struggles with that??? )
Sound familiar to anyone???
@@dragonflyy000 I totally struggle with that!
I agree!
@@stephaniebarker472Hi
