I’m in Florida. You just can’t buy used fabric covered furniture like that because if it’s in a garage or storage for even 3 minutes, it’ll be Bug infested to the point of a horror movie! They’re SO bad here! My Apartment complex is so strict with rules to help keep bugs to a minimum that Trash left outside your door in the breezeways is fined $100 PER BAG! And they’ll tack that on to your rent! Then if that’s not all paid IN FULL on the 1st? AUTOMATIC EVICTION and you’re sued for 3X the rent plus legal fees! Breaking lease is 3X the rent too! I’ve seen beautiful pieces on the side of the road but they’ll rot there lol Otherwise that chair she got was gorgeous! Tho I thought it was Gold. Did she recover it?
Knowing how amazing you are at organizing…. That armoire is something you design a space around. Absolutely gorgeous and if you can afford it YES YES YES!!

I am so glad you showed us a true closet in your home. Most want to sugar coat everything and make it look perfect. I really need to tackle my closets and this gave me the inspiration I needed.
"What if i start running? Not going to happen, not unless i'm being chased" I really relate to this the only way I exercise is dance. Love the hacks especially finding closet systems from the thrift store! I'll have to check out my local re-store

My son works at Lowes and they donate a lot to habitat for humanity. Florida homes rarely have coat closets, I miss them.

That huge armoire was totally exquisite! At THAT price, you really can't go wrong. I love all of your upgrades in that closet & I LOVE that chair you picked for that corner table. It's lovely. I've just got to see IF we have one of those type stores here in Vegas. I'm an old woman now, but it would be nice to be able to check out a store like that. I've got to save money wherever I can. I love how you made quick decisions. I have found that if I give myself time to think about it, I will usually keep it. I'm getting better at snap decisions for most things. I then have a maybe pile and then go back through it the next day or two, giving my brain a break from decision fatigue. Works so much better.

They just opened a big, new, clean Dollar Tree about 10 miles from my home. Yay!!! I'm so excited. I used to have to drive twice that distance and it was a very yukky store with empty shelves, none of the good stuff and not a good overall experience.
Kathryn, I used to work at a Resource & I legit did the same thing with a wardrobe we had in stock. I also checked for Narnia :)

Hola Kathryn!! 👋☺️ great video as always 😉🌸. I have an antique armoire like that in my entryway, we use it as a closet, to hang our coats and jackets, and to store hats gloves and umbrellas ☔️
That chair is beautiful just like you. I love watching you reorganize small spaces it gives me ideas for when I want to do small spaces in my home. 💕 I love thrift stores just wish they would deliver the bigger items since we take the bus. But this summer I will be going to a lot of thrift stores to do school clothes shopping for my oldest 🥰. He's excited about that.

Love the ReStore idea for Closet-Maid, but I admit that I've never seen that at my store. 😢
My friend bought every mis -mixed gallon of paint she could find that was a similar taupe beige. A guy recommended we dump all 5-6 gallons in a big storage tub and mix it with a tool that attaches to your drill. One color looked really gold and another was really a pale lavender. We ended up with a perfect light khaki color and painted my living room, dining room, hall, and two bedrooms…..all for about $60. I love the color!!!
I adore Habitat For Humanity. I talked about my amazing finds and what an amazing company they are, that my daughter now works in their corporate office. 😂
I really love when you share things like this. Especially as a renter that has limitations to what I can change in our apartment. Solutions that are renter friendly and small space friendly are so helpful.

6:58 I have two of those! They have cardboard inserts to keep them sturdy, and they look really nice. Mine are used for storing small rolls of fabric (i.e. fat quarters) for my doll/miniature projects. I don't have a lot of storage-type furniture, so I utilize over-the-door space in most non-public living areas.
Your closet makeover turned out great! Thanks for the tips on where to get stuff cheaply. I forget about the Goodwills and ReStore in my area - I need to make a point to check them out first (rather than running to Amazon) when I need something.

Thank you for another fabulous video! Being on a very tight budget I have purchased a few items for my home from Habitat for Humanity as well as from consignment shops. The store in our county and another county I have saved have a Facebook page so I can see what new items they have gotten in. One has it set up to pay by phone if you see an item you like you just then call the main number for that store and follow the instructions they have posted on their Facebook page.
