Cas you did an amazing job! But i have to give Joe credit. Im glad he's warmed up to the idea of being on camera and even though he seems like he's not a man of many words, I don't think you could do many of these makeovers without him. So thank you Joe for being a supportive husband and helping Cas bring us this great content! ❤
I am with you on the family tree stuff! I have been to 2 week long Genealogy Retreats - we event went to Salt Lake City to the big Conference and spent 3 days at the Family Search Library! So much fun! My granddaughter was thrilled to find out we are related to Shirley Temple!
I think it would be helpful to see really small (UK/Europe sized) because that’s when you see some really interesting solutions/products or furniture that has double functions.
My parents were police officers and taught me to never keep your keys by the door, always next to your bed! Someone coming into your home could walk away with them! Loved the rest! ❤
Raise your hand if like me you were worried about Josh's StarWars pictures and where they'd end up. 🤚 Great job, to Cas, Joe and Emily for getting it all done. Side note: Loved how well-behaved Lucy was during the whole thing and I did notice the growth between videos. Puppies grow so fast!!! 🐶
🙋🏼♀️Josh might beat Cas & Emily with his light saber. 😂 Agree also on Lucy being well behaved and she’s so cute. Transformation is great!!!! Joe just knows how to do it all. Cas the ancestry research is awesome!!! I also solved a secret in the family and was able to give someone answers before he died. It was amazing.
This is great! Those of us who live in genuinely small spaces with next to no storage holler at RUclips whenever we're shown a basement or garage WHERE ALL THE STUFF actually is. Working out ways to hide things in plain sight, while still keeping it accessible and leaving space to move around, is an ongoing dilemma. Thanks for the ideas, Cas and Emily.
Also to mention, the tall book shelfs also have different optional doors if you don´t want to see your stuff, you can get full covered, half cover and half glass or full glass so it is such a versatile solution.
Or also put labels in that frame together with your preferred decoration so the stuff is hidden but you can still see where it is without opening doors!
Hi! I am with you on that! Definition of small can vary a Lot! From one country to another! The kitchen there is my dream kitchen! Probably 4 x the size of my kitchen! One thing I find curious is placing the microwaveoven above the cook top! 🤔 I feel there would be a risk of being burnt by steam from pots on the stove! And could make the microwave too high to reach easily! Often seen in north American kitchens.
I don't know what I love more: the pink coat, Joe and you working together(so cute) or the AFTER on this makeover! I can't pick, I won't pick. I LOVE IT ALL> :)
Nice! I would like to share my best trick to store shoes in the entry space : the Ikea Billy bookcase. It has changed my life! My shoe size is 10 and it fits over 70 pairs of shoes and boots. You can adjust the height of the shelves and add as many shelves to customize the piece. I added the Oxberg doors half glass, half wood, and for the part that the glass exposes, I used baskets to store sandals, scarves and other for a clean, clutterless look that doesn"t expose the shoes. The shoe organizer from ikea that you showed is nice, but only stores about 8-12 shoes and no knee high boots, so it is not practical. A small Billy with double doors would have stored at the minimum 12 shoes and with additional shelves over 40 shoes! Last tip: put one shoe facing front and the other one facing back to maximize shelf space. Love your channel and your energy, I get so many good organizing ideas, thank you!
I only discovered you today and I have already watched a couple of your videos. To cut a long story short I have been in my flat since June 2019, and have been in and out of work since then with a serious problem with my back. So not only am I physically limited the finances are tough too. This week I've had a bit of good news on the money front (only a couple of hundred pounds about $250) but the difference this has made to my mood (even though though the cheque hasn't arrived yet) is huge. There are lots of videos on You-tube helping with decluttering and that kind of thing - and many of them are excellent - but you have 'clicked' with me. I'm not a copy cat, my flat is totally different and much smaller, but you have made me think. In the matter of a couple of hours I have already thought of solutions to make living here SO much better and on a limited budget. Thank you so much. Sending best wishes from Oswestry in Shropshire, England. Good night (it is 11pm). xxx
fyi, I was adopted 62 years ago and in 2017 I did ancestory and found my birth father/family. It has been wonderful as the whole family has accepted me and treats me like a daughter/sister. I have not spoken to many others besides this immediate group, but it has been a blessing!
We had a reunion several years ago, where a few "new" cousins appeared out of the woodwork. We were all quite happy to meet them. I had brief contact with one "restored" cousin and was able to pass along a thumb drive containing a spreadsheet of several generations of ancestors.
The whole trick about putting the key ring right in his face when he walks in. Just changed my entire organizing world and hopes solved some of my organizational problems.
I was hoping to also see in the OFFICE CLOSET? No reveal of that? I could feel the relief of opening up the space that I'm sure they were feeling. Good job helping their life be better on a daily basis.
When we got married,we moved into my husband's bachelor's flat which was about as big as this kitchen alone. Had to leave 80% of my possessions at my mom's house back home, and moved with 1 suitcase and my special pink embossed dinner plates😂 Thankfully we only lived their for 2 months, but our current place is pretty much the same size at theirs now. Organization is key!!We also have just adopted a doggy❤ This video helps so much as we also both work from home.
This was up there on one of the best I’ve seen. Thank you to Emily for allowing us to be a part of this too. I could definitely relate to this! Thank you Cas❣️
Loved this video! It was nice to see Emily onscreen for more than a quick view. The space looks fantastic! And I just love the way you and Joe interact! He is so cute and so willing to help you! It is refreshing to see! I am also very much into genealogy! I can't believe you have made your way back that far so quickly!! And those skeletons do not stay in the closet very long when you work your tree! Haha!
Cas, you hit this one out of the park! Thanks to Emily for offering her home and to Joe for the problem solving on the fly. I need one of the cabinets for my vacuum and cleaning supplies. A couple of the acrylic file organizers would work wonders solve a few issues in our office.
In a small home, armoires are lifesavers. They are tall, have lots of shelves and you can close the doors on it! I loved this client-she is so cool and open to suggestions. Her smile was everything! Hopefully Josh loved the makeover and he is happy too. What a beautiful home they have and an adorable puppy! This is one of my favorite videos on this channel. Warning to headphone/earbuds using viewers, loud, shrill volume at times -keep the column low or you'll blow out your ears!
Oh Joe just melted my heart. Cass is so excited and Joe is so mild and when Cass asked if she could cheer him on he said yes I could use that. What a gorgeous couple you are. I hate building flat pack furniture. There is always some point where I am on the floor crying I can’t do this. So go Joe and go Cass !!!! ❤
I don’t know what it is but your last video had me cleaning a cabinet and today I just cleaned out my snack station area. Something about you get me up and moving. I am going to binge watch your channel and get this house ready for a big party I’m prepping for. Thanks again. Enjoy the day.
I've been following Cassandra from the very beginning!!!! At last!!! Over 1,000,000 subscribers!!! A YTuber who actually deserves it!!! Congratulations on your hard work Cassandra!!!!
Dogs have so much stuff, don't they? but never declutter the puppy!! So cute!! I am amazed at what you were able to accomplish in a short time!! It takes an eye for it.
I am definitely obsessed with family history. I don't give up til I learn more. I have found that you "get to know" ancestors and develop a sense of what an ancestor's personality was like. Talk to your oldest relatives NOW to learn more about ancestors. I wish I had asked my Grandma more questions. I have been researching for over 10 years.
I just want to say, I'm so glad we're seeing more of Joe on screen. He's no longer "behind the scenes Joe". Hello Joe, glad to finally get to know you! I wanted to see Josh's reaction.
This was such a great video- so helpful to rethink my trouble spaces🤔. Emily is so sweet- thank you, Emily, for sharing your home! I too have dropped down the ancestory hole!🙃😳😂😑😁😉 so much fun!!!
We found out my grandfather had a child that he never knew about..after the shock from all the family members we embraced this new lady into our family. It wasn't her fault. She is a super nice person. My grandparents had already passed and her mom had already passed on before any of this information was discovered.
A few years ago we discovered my husband had a 50 year old son he didn't know about. Our regret is that we didn't know sooner. He and his wife and children are wonderful! So glad they are part of our family now🥰
We found a half-sibling a few years ago. Unfortunately, we're all middle-aged and our father and grandparents have already passed. Learning that this situation is more common than we thought!
I have watched you for years and love your videos. This is one of your best :-) love seeing Joe in the videos as well. I remember when he was too shy to be on camera. This is great. I’ve learned so much from you being an organizer myself. Your categories helped me to understand peoples, organizing techniques more clearly.
Thank you for allowing to see your process. It was most helpful to me, especially when I heard in one of your RUclips videos that you can do a room in a day with this process. I’m going to try your technique and I hope to be out of my cluttered situation soon, thanks to you and all of your wonderful tips and advice that you always offer us. You have no idea how much your help means to me and probably to so many others!
Enjoyed this very much 😃 I also did Ancestry for hours until 2.00 in the morning a lot of nights during the pandemic....absolutely fascinating what I was able to find out through my mother’s side...I managed to get right the way back to the vikings through a super unexpected royal line. It was a real wow moment xx keep these vids coming xx
I had to pause when you pointed out your slippers. We grew up on a farm in Wales so school was a couple of miles away by car. One day our Mother dropped us off and drove away. HORROR! I realised I was wearing my slippers, I was mortified, knowing that my fellow pupils would make fun of me (the entire school was a total of 22 pupils - four to eleven years) - being so small we all knew each other and siblings, parents etc. An entire parish would know that Gaynor had forgotten her shoes. By the end of the day they ALL believed it was a deliberate decision on my part. "I wanted to be comfy", I said!! Sorry for a long story. 😆🤣🤣
So awesome! The mama is so cute! I’m finding that unknown siblings from a generation or two back is quite common. My father was raised as an only child but found out when he was 68 that he had 3 brothers!
You and I have a very different idea of what a “small space” looks like. That kitchen is 2x bigger than mine haha. Possibly more… Would love to see your ideas for even smaller spaces
This is such an amazing transformation. Everything looks wonderful. So great to hear Emily describe the organization as ‘crazy pants’. Joe did a wonderful job as well. That was a lot of building cupboards, shelves and bookshelves.
I get such value from listening to all your content. Today takeaway was floor to ceiling shelves when I have a wall with no windows. I really like cube storage too so I'll start looking.
Great work and great ideas, my wife has really gotten me on the declutter bus. I’m concerned about the hanging paper storage though. I’d strongly recommend replacing those nails with better drywall anchors for when it inevitably gets filled up during a busy-life season!
I love this, thank you so much for posting this!! It’s my first time seeing your how to post video. I have a room that I need organizing big time. Its my Computer, Crafting, and Sewing room. All in a good size room. The bad thing is that I am 70 years old and I have what they call crippling arthritis. It’s just hard for me to lift and move on a lot of things. I have no help since my husband passed away. Thank You. 🥰 🐾
💕Thank you Cass for this video! And thanks to Joe for his brain power and knowledge of woodworking and figuring things out with the shelving in the entry way! It has given me ideas for our little apartment. I have always heard of using the vertical space of your home especially if you do not have a lot of floor or storage/closet space. It is just the figuring out of what will work just right for that vertical space. In addition, our home is 80+ years old and I am hate putting holes into the walls as they are plaster and lattice-built walls. I need to pray to find just the right shelving with a built-in desk for my bedroom now that my brother has moved into the front office/guess/sunroom space. However, I would like to get a desk and shelving that could easily transition into that space if he moves out of that space or moves completely. And thank you Emily for sharing your homes transformation and sharing with us Lucy, so cute. Love it!💕
I love this video. I am trying to decluter from years of my husband and myself as well as my now grown children who have moved out. But I now have grandchildren who live with me. I am so overwhelmed. I am just taking one box at a time . But there are days I feel like I am just not getting anywhere.
Researching ancestors is mind boggling. My niece did this and she found out so much. Amazing people, amazing times, great achievements we didn’t know about. I loved the closets, Joe is a talented, smart guy and you two are so cute together. I am the one putting things together in my marriage and if there is a glitch I can never figure it out.😃 Thank you for this video.😘
I'm a genealogist and been researching since I was 12. It it is very very addicitve! In my research I found my Dads Half nieces and nephews in Scotland! And I found that my great grandfather from Nova Scotia, is one of 13! He told his daughter he was an only child. Oh and he had 6 children before coming to the US that we didn't know about!!
We need to find the documents, and realize that family lore is what people felt was ok to tell. There was such punishment for out of wedlock babies. Now we , or at least many of us, don't care about that .💗
Wonderful job Cas, love every bit of it. Another addition to billy book cases can be the addition of doors, maybe cover the lower shelves, that would give a more cleaner look. ❤❤❤
Cass you changed my life!! 💙💙💙 I am a Bee/Butterfly. 🐝🦋 I recommend you to all of my friends and family members and I also like to brag that you are a fellow Canadian!!! Love and thanks from the rest of us Canucks 🥰❤ 🇨🇦 🍁
Thanks Emily for sharing your home. Fun to see you on the other side of the camera! I have a small home also. And one closet for main area and one bedroom closet. And a tiny bathroom closet.
I’ve been obsessed with researching my family since 2011! It has changed my life. For real. Now I go to Ireland every year to visit my newfound cousins!
I love when you organize BEE spaces - especially Emily's (you did her work office at your place and that was a great video too). Good move on the hooks plus hanging - we bees like to just hook the most current coats. I could relate too much with the hats, gloves, scarves -- why so many? One for every sporting event, I guess. Love, love, love what you did with the entryway. You and Joe make a great team.
Wow, what an high end de-cluttering, re-organizing small spaces makeover, u r 1 of da best. In my life, I choose to have less relationships as much as I can, all to you for finding a hobby of connecting with family.
One time I put my pants on inside out with seams showing, had a coworker ask if that was the case or I was following the fashion fad of outer seams....I said it was unplanned but just don't say anything....lol😂
Please do more small space organizing like this video. Thanks.
Yes! Love to see Joe. Not that I expect him to be Mr. entertaining, but that he is exactly who he is- supportive and dependable and cute to look at 🤣
Luv urvideos, Cas! Ur personality is beyond entertaining! SOO glad 2 c Joe! What a nice surprise-- he's a cutie! Luv 2 u both.❤
Thank you, Joe!
Joe’s facial expressions say it all! No words necessary! 😂
I am with you on the family tree stuff! I have been to 2 week long Genealogy Retreats - we event went to Salt Lake City to the big Conference and spent 3 days at the Family Search Library! So much fun! My granddaughter was thrilled to find out we are related to Shirley Temple!
So refreshing to see a normal size home!
Yeah Cass said it was 'small' but I thought it was a normal size too!
I know! 👍🏼😊
Yes!!!
I think it would be helpful to see really small (UK/Europe sized) because that’s when you see some really interesting solutions/products or furniture that has double functions.
Yes
I miss those types of videos ❤when you go to people’s houses and transform them ❤❤
I love it too. Classy updates on a budget.
It's so refreshing to see a real life, real people make over instead of pinterest-perfect. Great job.
Yes I agree. And even though I'd love to live in a Pinterest
looking home that will never happen but what Cas did here I can certainly do for my home!
Hello Canada
🤚I am a StarWars nerd!! Leave that stuff alone.
🙋🏼♀️Josh might beat Cas & Emily with his light saber. 😂
Agree also on Lucy being well behaved and she’s so cute.

You're welcome!
Try being in a small spacer as a fashionista and Prepper!
YES! I don't have a garage OR a basement!
Always remember, you cannot organise clutter - the less you have to organise, the easier it is. You need space to organise.
@@americafirst9144What a combination!
Joe really deserves praise.... quite a bit of McGivering! You guys both did such a great job. An amazing change to a small space.
Also to mention, the tall book shelfs also have different optional doors if you don´t want to see your stuff, you can get full covered, half cover and half glass or full glass so it is such a versatile solution.
There's also a removable door that is glass with a panel behind it. You can personalise the panel with photos, pictures, fabric, wallpaper, etc
Or also put labels in that frame together with your preferred decoration so the stuff is hidden but you can still see where it is without opening doors!
I love the canadian/american defintion of "small" 😆. It's so interesting how where we live shapes our life and sense of what normal looks like ❤

I don't know what I love more: the pink coat, Joe and you working together(so cute) or the AFTER on this makeover! I can't pick, I won't pick. I LOVE IT ALL> :)

Thank you. I would love you to do a video on tiny, tiny kitchen organization. My kitchen is about the size of their little entryway.
Fellow Louisianian? The word parish gave it away! 😊

So awesome! The mama is so cute!
I’m finding that unknown siblings from a generation or two back is quite common. My father was raised as an only child but found out when he was 68 that he had 3 brothers!
You did a really great job with Emily's home! Love it! 😇
You and I have a very different idea of what a “small space” looks like. That kitchen is 2x bigger than mine haha. Possibly more…
Would love to see your ideas for even smaller spaces
What an amazing and refreshing transformation and a shout out to Joe! What a great guy!!
Love the look from Joe when you said last thing and handed him the shelf❤
Cas, your pink raincoat is so cheery and pretty.
GREAT transformation. It just looks so much more open.
This is such an amazing transformation. Everything looks wonderful. So great to hear Emily describe the organization as ‘crazy pants’. Joe did a wonderful job as well. That was a lot of building cupboards, shelves and bookshelves.
Glad you like it!
I get such value from listening to all your content. Today takeaway was floor to ceiling shelves when I have a wall with no windows. I really like cube storage too so I'll start looking.
THAT COAT IS SO CUTE!!! Ok, back to the video 😄
Yes I LOVE the color! Beautiful
Great work and great ideas, my wife has really gotten me on the declutter bus. I’m concerned about the hanging paper storage though. I’d strongly recommend replacing those nails with better drywall anchors for when it inevitably gets filled up during a busy-life season!
As a fellow geek, I greatly appreciate all the wonderful geeky stuff in their house!!!
Thank You. 🥰 🐾
It was so nice!!! I wanted to see the closet on the office. I'm too obsesed with my ansestry. ❤
I loved how you used a small home to organize.
Amazing transformation as usual! Thank you to Emily & Josh for letting us into your home ❤
It looks great, good job, the office looks so much bigger ❤❤❤❤
I've done a lot of ancestry research and have been doing it for about 30 years!!! It is ADDICTIVE!!
Researching ancestors is mind boggling. My niece did this and she found out so much. Amazing people, amazing times, great achievements we didn’t know about.
I loved the closets, Joe is a talented, smart guy and you two are so cute together. I am the one putting things together in my marriage and if there is a glitch I can never figure it out.😃
Thank you for this video.😘
You're welcome!
Please do NY sized style apartments. I appreciate your small space video but this would be a very small space, more of a challenge.
Billy Bookcases are my hero! I have been using them for storing my shoes and boots, they look so beautiful arranged in the Billy bookcases!!M
Your hubby is so cute, Cass. He seems so meek & gentle. A perfect compliment to your energy.
I really appreciated watching your magic on this achievable makeover. Plus we have the same design shoe storage - 2 side by side 😊
I think it is so funny when Cass is being super goofy and Joe is just so serious😆
There is balance in the universe!
That’s my husband and I. Lol I’m the goofy jokester one also ADHDer and he’s too serious he doesn’t get my goofiness.
Cass you changed my life!! 💙💙💙 I am a Bee/Butterfly. 🐝🦋
I recommend you to all of my friends and family members and I also like to brag that you are a fellow Canadian!!!
Great job on Emily's place, what a difference. Would like to see Josh's reaction too though.
You and Joe are so great together!🎉❤
Thank you!
Wow, what an high end de-cluttering, re-organizing small spaces makeover, u r 1 of da best. In my life, I choose to have less relationships as much as I can, all to you for finding a hobby of connecting with family.
I didn't realize that I still had my slippers on until I got to work. I had to call my husband to bring me my shoes!😂
Oh no!
I feel for you I've been there
One time I put my pants on inside out with seams showing, had a coworker ask if that was the case or I was following the fashion fad of outer seams....I said it was unplanned but just don't say anything....lol😂
When I was a teenager and worked at mcdonalds I wore two quite different shoes (one had a platform sole 😅) to a shift 😂😂
HA HA That’s funny 🤣😂😆 🥰 🐾
This is my absolute favorite transformation. Everything is so functional and calming. I love it. Thank you for sharing.
I'm so glad you liked it! ☺
