I'm trying to remember having your energy when my 3 children were little but wait...no, can't do it. I never sat down, for sure, but your joyful enthusiasm is contagious which is why we love you so much. Great video.
Having a clean kitchen when I go downstairs to sit at my kitchen table to drink my coffee and start my day is the BEST feeling! No matter how tired I am, I make sure my kitchen is clean before I head upstairs to bed. That is a good habit to have.
Yesss!! I wipe counters, wash and put up dishes and do laundry daily. As long as I stay on top of that, it never piles up and is way easier to clean the weekly things and I don't mind as much!
I don't know about American dishwashers, but German ones have just a cold water port and they heat the water automatically to the temperature you're setting it to. So letting hot water run at the faucet doesn't give you a head start, but extra water costs.
I have Autism and ADHD and I have to say these hacks are really helpful for people like me. For example, keeping cleaning supplies in bathrooms. If I leave the room to go get my cleaning supplies I WILL GET DISTRACTED and forget what I was doing in the first place! I personally solved my clutter issue with bookshelves. I have book shelves everywhere, mainly to display books, figurines exc so that they aren't on counters or on the floor. Another nice hack was the laundry separation, but I go a step further and give everyone but the kids two baskets. One for tops and one for bottoms and put them where I tend to get undressed. I absolutely hate having to sort and it's the hardest part of laundry(at least for me) I also have a shower cleaner with an attachable hose. After my shower I simply spray down my tub, let it sit while I dry my hair, come back and use the hottest setting with my shower head on high pressure to remove any debris. No more scrubbing for me! Two minutes and BAM! I'm done.
FORGET THE CLEANING KALLIE, YOU LOOK ABSOLUTELY RADIANT, BEAUTIFUL, GORGEOUS, YOU LOOK LIKE A GLOWING GODDESS!!! Pregnancy seems to agree with you. My mother always used to tell me if you keep up each day with something like a bathroom, you won't have as much work, you are so right. Thank you for the ideas and may God bless you and your growing family.
You are so delightful and inspiring!! I was a working RN (ED, Coronary Care, L&D)with 5 children and had the energy of the pink bunny with a drum in spite of all I had to do. Well, I’m retired now and all that get-up and go has gotten up and gone. Ha! That said, I want to repeat that you inspire me with your tips and tricks. The biggest lesson I learned from you is “Task initiation”. I don’t set a timer for any given task. Instead I do what I can do until the first sign of the aches and pains of my age tell me it’s time to stop and rest and stretch and revive. 😊 I already knew and practice many of the things in this and your other videos, but the ones I didn’t know have been very helpful. So thank you for these. I wish you a perfect third trimester, Labor & delivery, and postpartum for a happy healthy baby! ❤
A while ago, seriously like 2-3 years ago, you said something about surface clutter, and it was a lightbulb moment. I've got 2 toddlers now and just moved, and some days I don't have much left to give to a full clean, but I always get the surfaces. It helps so much! And most of the time, just cleaning off one small surface will be the forward motion I need to get more done.
You know I was just thinking about you. I don't usually follow RUclipsrs but you are one of the few I always love listening to. I've always been easily tired even before I had kids. Now with kids I'm running on empty. But everything you've said has helped. The 10 min rule when I can only muster up very little energy. A body in motion stays in motion. That's a big one. If I just get started, I end up having more energy than if I'm just sitting around. End up accomplishing so much more. There are so many other examples but all I can say is you've really helped me figure out how to survive with kids. I'm slowly but surely decluttering and organizing my home. Wishing you all the best with your the new baby!
I have 2 bathrooms, each one has a spray bottle of glass cleaner, disinfectant spray and a roll of paper towels. I keep the paper towels on a hook that was really meant for extra toilet paper, 🧻 it hooks on the side of the tank. That is a lifesaver for quick clean ups after getting ready for the day. Our toothbrush’s and tooth paste are kept inside the door of the vanity in a small wire basket on command hooks and all makeup and such is in the side drawers. I only keep a box of tissues , a hand soap dispenser, and a medium size vase/foliage for decor on the counter. That keeps it simple upkeep for me. You inspired me to do a quick evening kitchen cleanup some years ago and it’s just nice to get up and have a fresh place to make coffee and start my day! Thank you for that! ❤❤❤
Thanks for the tips! Have you ever done a video on keeping a house clean 101 for people who purchased their first home? Like what are some things to do to maintain a home? Going from renting to buying can be overwhelming!
Thanks so much for reminding me about the law of motion! I have been ill for several weeks and the combined effects of being exhausted after a long viral illness, a new onset of a heart condition, effects of chronic illnesses, and side effects of a new medication have had me on the couch for weeks now. But you reminded me that once I make the big effort of dragging myself upright, I can stay that way, even if only for 15 minutes. In that time I took down the old laundry and started a new load, put the dishes in to soak so I can wash them easily later, then tidied the living room before I had to hit the couch again. If I do this once an hour I am confident that I can get my home back to some semblance of pre-illness normalcy. This really cheered me up too!
Hope you have a quick recovery! I can empathize, I’m not a spring chicken anymore and trying to downsize is overwhelming, with some knee limitations due to aging and ongoing viral load from covid vaccinations. Dealing with the hand I was dealt. 😉 The good news is my cat doesn’t expect perfection as long as her crunchies, Sheba and water are replenished and the litter box is attended to 😹. Just don’t want to leave a mess for my kid when I go, like my mom did to us, and that propels me to keep at it… even a couple of hours a day keeps the entropy away…
I've been telling my husband for years that we need to heat up the water in the sink before turning on the dishwasher and he has always told me I was crazy, and it's just wasting water. The dishwasher we have now is only our second one in 20 years so I'm a believer!!!! Thanks for the hacks, love watching your videos.😊Can't believe you are expecting again, I thought I was seeing an old video a couple of weeks ago. Congratulations 🤗
We just catch the not-hot-enough water in another container and use it as needed. Between the water filter pitcher, teapot, sports bottles, and watering can for plants, there's always something handy. That way, the hot water is available for the dishwasher and the plant water has time to sit to let the chlorine off-gas on out.
Making sure there are no dirty dishes in the sink really does work! Another idea along the same lines is the idea of "closing the kitchen" or "putting the kitchen to bed" so to speak. I've heard many speak of this idea/strategy, and I'm almost positive Kallie has, too. It kinda makes sense if you're going to take care of the sink that you may as well finish the job and clean the rest of the kitchen as well. As one who has worked multiple restaurant jobs (ah, the college days!), there's nothing like a clean kitchen with everything put back into place at the end of the night. This would also be when you would run the dishwasher, too, BTW. The advantage of doing this is that you wake up to a clean kitchen and clean dishes! I like to leave the dishwasher door open overnight so they can fully dry, too; the "towel in the door trick" never worked for me, and I prefer not to pay for a heated dry cycle--especially in the summer...in the South. We have enough heat to deal with, and I don't need another reason to run the A/C more, LOL! That said, another idea Kallie has suggested over the years is habit-stacking. In this situation, if I take care of dishes/kitchen at night that means I can start laundry first thing in the morning. So, I'll start a load while I am making breakfast.(Often, I already have the laundry in the washer the night before and only need to add the detergent/oxi-clean/ect.--no decisions to be made that early, LOL!) My clothes washer hooks up to my kitchen sink, so staggering in this way actually works better and is necessary as both machines can't run at the same time. Making a hobit for one at night and one in the morning takes the guess work out of it, you know? I'm not saying others need to do this, but find where you can make things easier for yourself. It might be because of a conflict of using two appliances like mine...a "problem becomes a solution." You may be surprised! 💜
Having cleaning supplies in each bathroom makes cleaning easier! I personally loathe dusting(!!!), so I minimize clutter and "stuff" so I do far less dusting.
I have a lot of whites for the summer. I’ve taken your advice about the timer. Works great. Sometimes I go back and reset it so I can finish my task. Also use wipes to hit the sink with a swipe or 2. Long ago I started using the disposable toilet bowl cleaner. Take the wand, stick it onto the little nob on top of the cleaner pad and go for it. I don’t have to touch the wand to remove the cleaner pad. Still Struggling a bit with the shower. I have a pretty bad back so it’s tough for me. I’m getting there. Biggest problem is that I’m living with my kids. When my husband died my son told me I could stay with them. Unfortunately the room has no closet and no window. But I’m working on it! Thanks for your tips and encouragement . BzTW…to reward myself I buy a pretty bouquet of flowers from the grocery store!
Another awesome and helpful video! One of my absolute favorite tips from you, (from one of your past videos) is starting a new habit by attaching it to an existing habit! For me it's emptying my dishwasher while making my coffee every morning. Since I combine one pod into one large cup setting and one small cup setting into my big mug, I can usually get the dishwasher empty before my mug is full. I find myself starting this task on automatic and it gets my most disliked task done quickly. I've since attached other new habits to existing ones and it has changed my daily routines, Thank you so much for your great advice. Keep it coming!
Thanks for the video. I am a grandma. I used to wash clothes like you showed in your video when our kids were young. I have changed the way I wash clothes. Wash Likes with Likes works best. The fabric type is important. The color is important. Your whites should look white, not gray. Clothes look better and last longer washing Likes with Likes. Also, wash microfiber anything with other microfiber. Wash cotton sheets with cotton sheets.
Interesting that the dishwashers in the U.S. seems to be different than in Europe, ours is attached to the cold water and is heating it up to the desired temperature.
Absolutely love your video. I am finally starting to realize I have been over complicating things, like meal planning. Simple, practical solutions, thank you!
Wow!! Thanks for explaining the dishwasher like you did!!! LOL! All these years… didn’t know about just throwing in the pod instead of the little container.
Your videos are always fun. Young moms of little ones are blessed to have your advice to turn to. 🙂 I’d like to add one tip I learned from the man who installed my new dishwasher a few years ago. Run the kitchen faucet till the water is HOT, then start the dishwasher. I do that and put a very small amount of dishwasher powder in the bottom of the dishwasher and a generous splash of white vinegar along with the pod in its place. Voila! Clean dishes. I also don’t use the drying cycle (they dry quite well without it), so I can put plastic items, measuring cups (no fading of measurements) in there, saving on how much is left to hand wash.
I always sort my laundry into 3 coulour groups. whites in hot (sheets, tshirts socks etc) Mid colour in warm (beiges, grey light blue) and darks in cold to preserve the colours (dark blue, red, black) My dish cloths and t towels are a separate load soaked in oxyclean and washed on hot. I also believe in folding and if needed iron all clothes to take care of them and not look like we slept in our clothes. It's important to teach children to care for their things including clothing.
Hey Kallie. Did not know some things about washer, dishwasher. When I started watching your channel, took on sink challenge. IT WORKS AND HAS EXPANDED. love ya girl. Keep tips coming.❤❤❤😊
I agree definitely taking the extra 10 minutes to do the dishes and wipe the kitchen makes a great difference. Having cleaning items in the bathroom is a game changer. I have also a separate shelf or drawer for each person in the bathroom for the individual products toothbrushes and such that eliminates cleaning as well as everyone responsible for their own laundry. So much less stressful for Mom.
Oh no, there's nothing worse than waking up to a dirty kitchen!!! 😯 I learned this from my mom and do this w/my kitchen! 😀 It's a great way to end your day and to start your day!! 😊💕
LOVE MY BISSELL CROSSWAVE! But I am opposite on cleaning supplies and cleaning gadgets. I love new cleaning gadgets! Anything to make cleaning easier! I also like different cleaner for different areas, I couldn't do the vinegar at all 🤢 I have tried it and I don't like the smell, even though it does go away. But mostly I hate the smell on my hands! I am like that even with good smelling cleaners, I wear disposable rubber gloves as I clean! This was a game changer for me! I hated that my hands felt dirty after I clean, even after washing them. (Neurodivergent) 🤣 But they are especially helpful in the bathrooms, and kitchen, where we use the more harsh chemicals. But I'll put them on to load my dishwasher, and lightly clean my kitchen, then go into the living room/computer room, touch up bedrooms, and lastly I will clean the bathrooms. That way there I am not getting my hands dirty or wasting gloves, since I need to have them due to my aversions. Once I figured that out, I was cleaning everything that I previously ignored. Like the stove in the air fryer, because I don't like the feel of grease on my hands either. And no matter what I cannot stand the feel microfiber cloths!!!! 🤢 (Sensory issues) So that brings me to my next point... So if there are any 'Neurodivergent' people coming to check out this video, which chances are there are many! If you suffer from sensory issues as well, buy gloves!!! ❤️ We struggle more then others mostly due to executive dysfunction. So we come here to help us manage it, and gain skills to be more organized and "get that get up and go" attitude! And hopefully learn some mind tricks as well as cleaning tricks, while we are most likely staring at a task that seems impossible, so we sit in our messy homes while watching this video and others like it. 😂 Being Neurodivergent can manifest as difficulty planning, starting or completing tasks, keeping organized among many other issues that have to do with maintaining a clean, clutter free home. There are so many of us that are also struggling 😢 I am in no way trying to be rude or offend anybody, like I said I am neurodivergent as well. I just wanted to give tip for those of us with sensory issues, and make a light-hearted joke, and to let others know, you're not alone in this daily cycle ❤ PLEASE SHARE IN THE REPLIES IF YOU HAVE ANY OTHER TIPS THAT MAY HELP OTHERS! I wish I had more, but wearing gloves for sensory issues is all I have 😅 Oh and get yourself a Crosswave! The second generation vacuum works great! I have both the first and the second, I much prefer the 2nd. My only gripe with it is, the charging. Sometimes it takes me a little longer because I fixate on my floor, so I will have to recharge it. It's not a charging issue, it's more of a me issue 😁
I am very late to the cordless vac trend, mostly because I never saw the reason. But wow, not only is my Dyson so fast and efficient, but I never mind using it daily. It really does make a big difference.
Love videos like this!! So motivating!! I adopted your kitchen sink rule (I even have co-workers doing it) and keeping cleaning wipes in every bathroom. Game changers!! Thank you!❤
What?!?! I just bought your wet/dry Robo because of you!?!?! I wondered how you cleaned the low pile rugs....oK I have to remember how much you loved yours 😊
I never delay my dishwasher…always run it immediately after loading the dishes and I already have the hot water at the sink. Much cleaner than using a delay, with that noted cold water sitting in your pipes😎 I think it’s very interesting. That people will spend a lot of money on these huge appliances, which come with a handy manual, but don’t read them to get the most out of their dollar. There is no need to use hot water with today’s laundry detergent. For most clothing loads the quick cycle with an extra rinse on tap cold setting gets everything wonderfully clean …using a shout stain sheet, one pod of laundry soap, and one scoop of oxy.
@@angelamarie75 not when she had her kitchen remodeled to that green color. I asked her numerous times if she would do a tour of the remodel and she never did.
@@jarhead5974 Oh, I thought she did. 🤷🏻♀️ I've been a subscriber of hers back when she did crafts and mascara reviews lol 😆 Oh well, that's probably why she got the studio, to leave her personal life personal. 🤷🏻♀️
All detergents and soaps work better in hot or warm water. Especially since most dirty things in a home are dirty because they are oily (people, animal and food oils).
We were told by a GE repairman to put the pod in the bottom of the dishwasher because the little soap dispenser is made for liquid or powder soap, not pods. So he actually said putting it at the bottom of the basin lets the soap give your dishes a better clean. Maybe it depends on the dishwasher but it solved our problem of pods not dissolving completely and leaving a lot of residue on our dishes
I noticed on my washer since it's an energy efficient model sometimes not all the items got wet or sufficiently washed if it was a bigger load like a ruggable or towels. So I noticed there was a deep wash setting so basically I could fill the machine with more water and get a better clean.
I have noticed this too, especially since my machine is a top load style. I don't think it would be as much of an issue if my machine was a front loader
I have a top loader washer. I have to add water to it to cover the clothes. Have to do the same for the rinses. Energy efficient??? Luckily I have a tub in the garage, but it still takes time and I have to keep up on the timing. Everything is digital now and you can't change anything!
All good practical advice, especially breaking down of tasks so they aren't overwhelming, and setting a timer so you're just thinking about the time. Not only do these tips help you feel better mentally, but they help as you get older. We've been in our house for 25 years. Doing a little at a time is easier on your body, especially as you age, and if you're not a fan of cleaning, the timer makes it bearable, but it also keeps it "doable" as you age. Just some points from an old timer. 👵
I do the timer mind game for the kitchen too, it works well. Your dishwasher and washing machine have a filter that needs to be cleaned. I pull my dishwasher one the first of the month and use a bit of Dawn Powerwash and a toothbrush to clean it. Then I run a dishwasher cleaner tablet (from Amazon) without any dishes in it. We pull our washing machine filter about 2x a year.
pretty great accommodations to help with keeping a clean environment when you have adhd. using pomadoro timers to get started. keeping items at point of performance. not eating the frog first and instead starting with easier, visibly noticeable tasks so you get a dopamine hit which helps give you momentum from being in motion and satisfaction from a visibly noticeable task completion. habits/routines to help not have to remember to do things or try to decide where to start. streamlining tasks by using tools optimally and starting tasks while keeping in mind making the entire process easier on you. i also don’t let my clothes sit in the dryer long enough to cool down so i can shake out any wrinkles and fold while still warm so i don’t have to iron things. working on my routine is my current thingy. fingers crossed 🤞
I love your rugs. Can I ask where you got them from? I to started with cleaning my kitchen before bed. Now I have a good routine going even though I work a full-time job. Love your videos
The throw pillows 😩. I have so many beautiful throw pillows for the seasons and yep, they pretty much have to stay hidden because I end up spending all my time picking them up.
Like Kallie, I live in CT. When we get these humid weeks (maybe 4-6/year), lots of us say "I could NEVER live in the south..." Then again, zero degree wind chill days are the other end of the spectrum. Two entirely different wardrobes - shorts, sandals, snow boots, mittens - multiple that by 4 kids! 😲
With vacuum mops cleaning out the dirty water tank and surrounding pieces is always a huge barrier for me so I never want to use them. And I get rid of them and then crave the 2 in 1 convenience and buy one and the cycle continues. I do think the bissell handled pet hair the best for me. My others got clogged quickly.
The dirty kitchen sink... yeah, that only works if people STOP EATING before bed - I can achieve that. The others in my household... not so much. I'm now used to cleaning as soon as I get up - I'm more energetic first thing anyway, so, once I got over the fact that I couldn't do it the night before (I mean, I can, it just doesn't stay that way), I was a happy camper (mostly LOL). I AM working on training the others in the household to bring dishes to the counter... next will be putting them into the dishwasher (I'm not 100% skilled with our dishwasher being empty/ready for dirty dishes, at night so this works for now).
While watching your video, I made the multipurpose cleaner and placed some in each bathroom, I cleaned and organized my front closet (got a new cabinet so all games and blankets came out of closet-woah to all this room!). I felt more productive in the time watching your video than I have all day.
Thanks for the dishwasher demo/explanation. I have four kids too and really don’t buy new stuff. My dining room table turned into a craft table and is covered in markers. I’d love something beautiful but then I know I’ll stress keeping it even cleaner. Throw pillows are just for throwing like you said.
I love the blue color in your new house, do you know the name of the color? not sure if you painted or previous owner chose it. Thank you! Love your videos
I too just recently watched a video showing how to use dishwashers…..i now throw a pod in the bottom of the tub, just to take care of that. :) i always used to scrub the dishes before loading, as they didn’t get cleaned otherwise. :)
When your kids become teenagers, using color coded towels, different color/pattern per kid works wonders! Stops so many arguments in our home, especially if the kids do their own laundry.
I had a friend in college who was one of 6 and her mom did this - every sibling had their own color of everything. Towels, plates, cups, toothbrushes… y’all get it. I thought it was genius! Her color was yellow 😂
here is what I do in reference to the wipes not being eco. I keep paper towels, the trifold kind in the bathroom for drying hands. Mostly for guests as I do also have a clean hand towel daily. I also keep cheap dollar store box of tissues. Add in foaming hand soap for washing hands ! Add it all together and you have wipes to use. Tissue can be for very small not too wet things and Paper for slightly bigger jobs. This way you don’t need the pre-bought buckets of wipes and the stuff you have is playing double duty.. Eco from the sense that these are paper products and also not just one use. because again they can be used in different ways.
There are lots of washing machines that the type of cycle does not decide the temperature of the water. We have a top load washing machine and it has a separate setting for water temperature. Just FYI. :)
Good stuff! I have a cleaning caddy under every sink. And paper towels in each bathroom. Might not be a good idea with kids, but it’s all adults and guests here and many of my guests would rather use paper towels to dry hands after washing. Thus they are dual purpose, there for and for guests.
I sort my clothes by having different hampers. I got skinny sterlite ones. Have a dark, a lights (not just white) and one for jeans. In the hall I have one for towels. I also have a few little ones in my closet for delicates. Makes it so much easier to do the laundry, just grab a hamper and put in wash! My kids are older and do their own laundry. My youngest was struggling to start laundry so I got her multiple skinny hampers like I do so she can sort as she goes. So much easier to get laundry started! So much easier to sort as you put stuff in the hamper!!
I don't have throw rugs anywhere, either. No point, plus my 1-year-old dog would probably find a way to unravel it. She destroys lots of fabric, including working on couch pillows. Thankfully, not the couch itself. Anyway, I prefer those fatigue mat rugs in the kitchen myself. Way comfier.
You have changed my life. Since watching your videos most of my home is almost immaculate every night despite having a 1 year old, 3 year old, dog and a demanding job! I do washing every day and clean the kitchen every night. I really enjoy it!
Running the hot water before starting the dishwasher is not necessary. All of the dishwashers that I have had only connected to the cold water supply, and heat their water internally. That is why I can choose the temperature setting on my maschine. Only the very old maschines that had a hose connection directly to the water faucet needed hot water. Or are American maschines different?
We often have visitors over night. I only use one size of pillows now. I use the guest pillows as throw pillows so I save space to store them without a giant Linnen closet needed.
Here in Germany the dishwasher ist connected to cold water only and heats water up as needed by itself. So using warm warter before turning on the dishwasher has no effect on the dishes.. isnt it in the US the same?
We JUST replaced our toilet and did the same thing- no pipes to dust. We had to order it and they shipped it to Home Depot and then we picked it up up there, but it was worth it. Also, sidenote, never put rainwater in the back of your tank when you lose power in our desperate to go to the bathroom (we had kids kids) it ruined our toilet in the back always grew old no matter how much bleach or scrubbing or whatever we did which is why we had to replace it!
I just put a paper towel standing upright under my bathroom sinks. And a spray bathroom cleaner is so much better in cleaning than those bathroom wipes. They are way too small.
I watch a lot of your videos... Just wondering if you have any tips for utilising deep drawers? (The drawer is the size of 2 normal drawers). Any tips please!!!!
I didn't know another baby is coming! Congratulations and take care! Btw I really admire your dedication and your intellect. They've really helped me stay clean and organized. Thx for sharing your tips!

I agree !!!!! 😀
I don't know about American dishwashers, but German ones have just a cold water port and they heat the water automatically to the temperature you're setting it to. So letting hot water run at the faucet doesn't give you a head start, but extra water costs.
😂 that’s actually a good point, I was thinking the exact same thing

If I do this once an hour I am confident that I can get my home back to some semblance of pre-illness normalcy. This really cheered me up too!
I’m sorry you are going through this. I feel like you are describing my life.
Even a little goes a long way.
@@SoundofSilence492I’m with you, same!
@@yvonnesmith2578 😉
Right with you there! But also remember not to overdo it during the 'good' times, pace yourself and it will all work out
Love the tricks. Need all I can get , can’t work as much as I could when I was young, now that I’m in my 87 th year.
I’m like you. I detest dusting! Sadly I live in the desert Southwest and in a dust bowl. Give me 10 bathrooms to clean before I dust one room.
Problem is it just comes back !! It’s my least favourite too so I have relatively clear surfaces
Still
Struggling a bit with the shower.
I also have back issues and I use those toilet wands (clean of course) to clean my shower. Works great!
Busybody.
@@FrankGutowski-ls8jt lol, you’re hilarious.
OMG!! I think the exact same way as far as the tiolet!! I hate cleaning the curves on it! I'm glad I'm not alone!
Oh my. What a busy body! Who asked for your opinion about washing laundry???
Interesting that the dishwashers in the U.S. seems to be different than in Europe, ours is attached to the cold water and is heating it up to the desired temperature.
I noticed the same thing; our dishwasher is only attached to the cold water tap. It heats itself up. I thought they all worked the same
Absolutely love your video. I am finally starting to realize I have been over complicating things, like meal planning. Simple, practical solutions, thank you!
And thanks for the running the hot water trick before using your dishwasher!!! Makes so much more sense!! You're awesome!! 😊💕
Wow!! Thanks for explaining the dishwasher like you did!!! LOL! All these years… didn’t know about just throwing in the pod instead of the little container.
Your son is absolutely ADORABLE! As a grandmother I just want to pick him up and love on him. 🙂
Oh please….
Your videos are always fun. Young moms of little ones are blessed to have your advice to turn to. 🙂
I’d like to add one tip I learned from the man who installed my new dishwasher a few years ago.
Thanks for your cleaning tips Kallie !!!!! ❤❤
LOVE MY BISSELL CROSSWAVE!
But I am opposite on cleaning supplies and cleaning gadgets.
I love new cleaning gadgets!
Anything to make cleaning easier!
I also like different cleaner for different areas, I couldn't do the vinegar at all 🤢
I have tried it and I don't like the smell, even though it does go away. But mostly I hate the smell on my hands!
I am like that even with good smelling cleaners, I wear disposable rubber gloves as I clean!
This was a game changer for me!
I hated that my hands felt dirty after I clean, even after washing them.
(Neurodivergent) 🤣
But they are especially helpful in the bathrooms, and kitchen, where we use the more harsh chemicals.
(Sensory issues)
So that brings me to my next point...
So if there are any 'Neurodivergent' people coming to check out this video, which chances are there are many! If you suffer from sensory issues as well, buy gloves!!! ❤️
We struggle more then others mostly due to executive dysfunction. So we come here to help us manage it, and gain skills to be more organized and "get that get up and go" attitude!
And hopefully learn some mind tricks as well as cleaning tricks, while we are most likely staring at a task that seems impossible, so we sit in our messy homes while watching this video and others like it. 😂
Being Neurodivergent can manifest as difficulty planning, starting or completing tasks, keeping organized among many other issues that have to do with maintaining a clean, clutter free home.
There are so many of us that are also struggling 😢
I am in no way trying to be rude or offend anybody, like I said I am neurodivergent as well.
I just wanted to give tip for those of us with sensory issues, and make a light-hearted joke, and to let others know, you're not alone in this daily cycle ❤
PLEASE SHARE IN THE REPLIES IF YOU HAVE ANY OTHER TIPS THAT MAY HELP OTHERS!
I wish I had more, but wearing gloves for sensory issues is all I have 😅
Oh and get yourself a Crosswave!
You’re such a great sense of sunshine when I open my RUclips to your beautiful face! Your content is always insightful and so much much appreciated❤
Love videos like this!! So motivating!! I adopted your kitchen sink rule (I even have co-workers doing it) and keeping cleaning wipes in every bathroom. Game changers!! Thank you!❤
This is one of my favorite Videos. Packed full of info. Thank you 🤗
NEW HOUSE TOUR, PLEASEEEE!!! 🏡🏡🏡🏡🏡🏡🏡🏡
I read that Kallie will not do that. She said that she will not do a tour of each room. I wish she would explain to us why she won't. Arlene

The laundry detergents today are working at their best in cold water. I would always read what is recommended by your equipment.
All detergents and soaps work better in hot or warm water. Especially since most dirty things in a home are dirty because they are oily (people, animal and food oils).
I just love your videos! I have watched your content for years and am amazed that you keep coming up with ideas for new ones. Thank you!
Same. We switched to powder. My husband is an engineer at GE Appliances. Our dishes look a lot better now!
The same thing was told to my father by the same people. I practice that now and never had any problems .
Great ideas, KALLIE. I enjoy watching your videos. God bless you and your beautiful growing family.
It's HOT. 109 heat index in SC !! Thanxs for all the tips ....
I find putting on cleaning videos really helps me focus. 🤗 thanks for the video.
Thank you so much for this (and all) video! We have similar washing machine and I needed that laundry explanation! Kind regards from Uruguay 💙
Great tips! I especially like the run hot water so the dishwasher water is warm! ❤
Mopping the floor with a baby on your hip, moms - we do SO much! 😊
I run hot water in the laundry sink so a hot wash starts out hot but it's weird that I never thought to do that for the dishwasher too.

Reason: you’re clueless.
@@FrankGutowski-ls8jtyou are an ass
I actually consider applying the one-laundry-basket-per-person approach!
Sounds great! ✨
Another old busybody.
I love using the timer trick. Sometimes I stop when the tier goes off and sometimes I keep going.
The throw pillows 😩. I have so many beautiful throw pillows for the seasons and yep, they pretty much have to stay hidden because I end up spending all my time picking them up.
try living in the south especially in August. You walk outside and you’re soaking wet! Thanks for the cleaning tips!!
So true girl!! The heat down south and humidity especially is something serious!
Ah! A hot summer would be good but we’ve had rain and rain in the UK. We had sun today. (25C) the best temp in ages!
Same!
Thank you for all the good videos
What is the name of the Bissell? I love your channel. You teach me so many hacks.
What an amazing video. I’ve been a fan for a while but dang this one was awesome! Thank you!
Thank you for the tips! We waited for this kind of content ❤🙏
While watching your video, I made the multipurpose cleaner and placed some in each bathroom, I cleaned and organized my front closet (got a new cabinet so all games and blankets came out of closet-woah to all this room!). I felt more productive in the time watching your video than I have all day.
Loved the video! What cleaner did you pour into the toilet brush holder? I love this idea.
You and I have the exact same dishwasher! How do you like yours? As always great video and tips! Thanks!
Hot water also sets stains, and cold removes them.
Yes true hangers for clothes too
here is what I do in reference to the wipes not being eco.
Just FYI. :)
Kallie, it's always a pleasure to watch your videos. Thanks for keeping it real!
Good stuff! I have a cleaning caddy under every sink. And paper towels in each bathroom. Might not be a good idea with kids, but it’s all adults and guests here and many of my guests would rather use paper towels to dry hands after washing. Thus they are dual purpose, there for and for guests.
I need to know where you got your kids book storage bins!
What’s the make and model of the wet/dry vac you have?
I sort my clothes by having different hampers. I got skinny sterlite ones. Have a dark, a lights (not just white) and one for jeans. In the hall I have one for towels. I also have a few little ones in my closet for delicates. Makes it so much easier to do the laundry, just grab a hamper and put in wash! My kids are older and do their own laundry. My youngest was struggling to start laundry so I got her multiple skinny hampers like I do so she can sort as she goes. So much easier to get laundry started! So much easier to sort as you put stuff in the hamper!!
Great video!! Very informative
I’m suck of hearing these kinds of lies.
They're different. They connect to the hot water line here. They also don't use dishwasher salt to adjust the wash water, which is a shame.
We did commercial cleaning as a family when the boys were younger. During commercial we did cleaning for one show. It made it a game.
Wish I could turn back the clock and have these videos for inspiration. Better late than never
We often have visitors over night.
I only use one size of pillows now.
I use the guest pillows as throw pillows so I save space to store them without a giant Linnen closet needed.
Yes, CT, has been yucky but I just came back from Arizona and will not allow myself to complain. :)
Loved this video! You are so relatable ❤
I'm in a West Hartford and the heat and humidity are awful!
Dishwasher tips were very helpful. Good video
what laundry basket is that? Does it hold it shape well?
I leave my vacuum cleaner plugged in, and in my kitchen ready to go. Also like the bona mop pad system for quick spills.
I like to have a rug by my sink, but I use a foam type, that can be mopped... it is a lot easier to clean then a regular rug
Your mind works like mine as a mom thanks for the tips
“All y’all are welcomed but you gotta act right” 😅😂😂😂
I mounted a paper towel holder under my bathroom sinks. A little spray cleaner & a handy paper towel makes quick work of those surprise messes.
I just put a paper towel standing upright under my bathroom sinks. And a spray bathroom cleaner is so much better in cleaning than those bathroom wipes. They are way too small.
Where can I get the clothing rack/drawer cabinet thingy?! Not sure what that is…a wardrobe? I need some!
What is the exact name of your Bissell??
