Fabric conditioner is brilliant for removing dust and fluff off surfaces. Furniture, TVs, etc.
you need a wet clean cloth. Pour a capful of conditioner onto the cloth. Spread the conditioner all over the cloth. Wring it out well. Dry on a radiator until completely dry. Take cloth and dust softly over the tv screen. (De-statics the tv). Softly dust all sides, tables, chairs and all Dustable surfaces. And you will also have a fresh smelling home. Shake the cloth thoroughly outside.

Interesting tip. Seems simple enough. I'd like to know, though, how fast does the coarse salt dissolve? And also, I'm trying to figure out what a fabric softener and clove would smell like. They don't sound to be compatible smells? Around the holidays I like to take a big orange and push cloves all around it. That is truly a divine smell for Fall and Winter.

When I was a teen my friend and I hated this potpourri scent at her house. It was the kind you ad water and flower petals to and is heated when plugged in. It smelled like cheap dollar store bathroom fell scents. One day she had this great idea, she would put a piece of her shit in the potpourri and let it steam out so her mom would stop using it. A day later a fresh pot was back in it, so she did it again. I was crying from laughter every time someone would comment on the smell of the potpourri. Her mom kept making us smell the bag to see if it’s rotten and tried maybe 4 times to make a new batch but the stuff kept ending up smelling like an outhouse so she finally stopped and tossed it all.

The best way to make the house smell clean is to ACTUALLY CLEAN it! MOP the FLOOR with a bit of disinfectant in the hot water. Citrus, pine , lavender or menthol work great. Make sure loos are flushed. Disinfect/ clear drains. Any food waste like spicy food, meat, fish is better to be out in a plastic bag/newspaper and out in an outdoors bin.
Don’t let wet facecloths sit around. They will stink of bacteria.
Open the window and/or use an extractor when cooking sulphurous food.
