    What's your favorite laundry detergent? Mine is the red Tide.

      I use the Great Value wanna-be version of Gain that Wal-Mart sells. I love it and the $ savings

      I didn't know Walmart had a knockoff Gain. If I don't get Tide I usually get Gain. I'm definitely going to get a small bottle and try it out. Thanks for sharing :)

      I love the way red Tide smells but due to my sensitive skin I usually go for the Tide in the white bottle or 7th generation with lavender!

    My mom insisted that clothes "soured" if they weren't rinsed well. She believed that if there was still soap in the clothing it held on to the bacteria causing the odor to develop. I just took clothes out of my washer in my garage that sat for 3 days in 98° heat and still smelled fresh. But I never overload the washer and always use the 2nd rinse setting.

      That's interesting I've never heard that but it makes sense.

    I totally forgot about why I stopped using fabric softener on my towels, I just barely started using it again. Thanks so much for the reminder. I will definitely start using vinegar instead. Can't wait for another video 😘

      That would be awesome! At once a year I forget a load in the washer and the next day it will stink especially in the summer. 🤦🏻‍♀️

    Great video! I use Gain (island fresh) but would love to hear about more natural alternatives as well. I love your tips... I really like the idea of using a downy ball since I don't have a fabric softer tray in my washer. I also didn't know that we shouldn't use fabric softeners on our towels. Thank you so much.

      I love the Downey ball. I would forget to put it in durning the rinse cycle plus washer locks during the rinse cycle.

      It really helps! I use it for my boys sweat clothes. They play hard outside in the summer heat. Basketball, riding bikes, and runny around like crazy and they come in dripping.🤢😜😆

    Super Tip ---as long as it doesn't smell like vinegar is right ! we use those pods things- we are lazy !

    • @ShirleeAlicia
      @ShirleeAlicia  5 лет назад

      The pod things are great. We get them when we have a little extra in the budget, but with a family of 5 (2 boys and a toddler) we go through a ton of laundry!! 🧺
