Do a video of cros guard counter dirty tips
Hammer course when?
Question 🙋♂️ would these tips be applicable to mma? And if so do a lot of fighters use dirty boxing?

I swear you have just developed a modern system of what wing chun was TRULY meant to be.
Your wisdom has helped so many, & I am grateful for the time & effort that you put into your craft.
Without getting too sappy, Thank you, Mike. I wish you the best in life.
Wing Chun was meant for very close distance fighting so it only makes sense why the movements overlap in these situations. Wing Chun can work well in modern age if combined with other things.. Isn't that what Bruce Lee was trying to do anyways?
Damn straight. I've been involved in Wing Chun and Filipino "dirty boxing" since the 80s and this video is great. Mike is applying the concepts of wing chun the way it needs to be applied in our day and age. Did you notice the stance work using "character 2 stance" (YGKYM) and turning to bump Nate's knee and off-balance him? Love this channel!

I’ve had the basic idea of what dirty boxing was for a long time, lotta clenching and punching out of holds, but this was definitely the best tutorial I’ve seen on how to do it and the intent of each of the moves. Evander Holyfield was great at this stuff.
I always love sneaky shots off the break and through guard manipulation. Thanks for the ideas.
I boxed for 3 years didn't learn that much. Coach never really broke stuff like this down. Greatly appreciate it. I feel like I learn something new every video. Makes me really miss the ring. Keep up the good work fam 👏🏾💪🏾

"i don't wanna arm wrestle him with my legs, what?"
I always used the other arm punching he was talking about. When I just got lit up with someone's jab, I just start targeting that arm and they eventually stop jabbing and turn that arm away from me, which throws them out of their normal stance.
This might be the best video about dirty boxing on the internet. Thank you Icy Mike

Funny thing: the logic behind most of this tricks/hints/advices is the same as some of the application (bunkai) of some movements from katas we practice at my Karate school. Of course, in our case, without gloves there is a lot more grappling, hooking, twisting and leverage but still, the logic is quite familiar to me.

What Manuals?

Great video. Great techniques.
@hard2hurt I was laughing my butt off when you were doing the headbutt movement 😂. Thank you for the knowledge.
I think it'd be cool on the last technique when you grab the glove you could throw the cross, release the glove and use the position of your hips from there to lead hook when you let go. I feel like that would be an easy way to set up a power shot.
Oh no I just realized, Mike is the stereotypical little brother in his 40's and Cliff is the older brother in his 30's
Y’all had too much fun this was great!
Who was here when the title said ‘eblows’
Dammit
One thing I like to do in boxing is something I call posting or jousting for the lead leg position. A lot of aggressive smaller fighters want to close the distance by taking a wide step straight forward. What I try to do is keep my feet as close to the ground and simply use my foot to occupy the ground directly in front of them. It works especially well when their jab is subpar. You can always step to either side of it, but it makes something that was done without thought into something you have to focus on.
Idk about boxing, but in basketball the idea is that if my foot is planted and they step on top of it on accident, they are infringing on my space. Rather than swing my foot under theirs, I jab step and plant.
To quote Louis Gossett Jr. in "El Diablo" - "I might be old and slow, but I cheat real good."
I keep coming back to this channel but I hadn't subscribed. I am now subscribed.
Epic Sunday because of this
Hilarious, loveable people... Keep up the light spirit... Big up from Morocco.
So, basically using wing chun/jkd entering and trapping techniques. I like it.
When you reach across with your right hand to grab and pull the elbow to open the body that is indeed illegal. However if you throw a simple little "uppercut" with your right hand and let it pass between their body and their right elbow (same elbow your grabbing by going over the top) you can open your hand and let the hook of the glove grab the elbow as you pull it out. Very sneaky and it works.
great video! subscribed!

Did you see Mike's massive lats, and his assistant tiny little shoulders. Haha. On a serious note, good stuff Mike. Many thanks for vids.
if your gym was near by i would go even with me being so lazy.. Cool video and informative enjoy how you keep things realistic .
Love this!
Dirtiest thing I like doing against boxers is bashing my shins into theirs during a rush. I do a lot of kicking so my shins are apparently a lot more conditioned than theirs most of time, I made one guy take a knee by doing that.
Mike: put our ass muscles against their neck muscles
Nate: 🤨
😂😂😂
5:27 "We are doing a lot of muscle stuff today"

Love your personality you just inspired me
I like how the big guy's just having fun, that's good training vibes haha
Referencing the other video - Is it dirty? There was actually a Dirty Boxing gym in my home town. They used all of these ideas as a fighting concept instead of just a rule bending way of boxing.
I like Nate's little grin every time he gets tapped on the chin.
Archie Moore used to block punches with elbows and he holds a record of 132 kos in boxing. Short pulls are acceptable until you are really holding opponent
Good video!
Dang, this is really cool. I especially love the elbow blocking and the double hand trap setups, reminds me of Panantukan.
That part around 10:43, where you enter the guard, post up with your head, and throw those little punches looks like the ONLY situation where "chain punching" (like in Wing Chun) could be useful. Every martial art has something to provide.
Chain punching in Wing Chun isn't really that huge of a deal as people think it is. It's only really the emphasis in Leung Ting's teaching, which also happened to become the most popular of all lineages outside Hong Kong.
On a more technical note, the best function of that strike is the way how you can use the "punch" to jam jabs and crosses with your elbow and forearm and follow up with your own counter. So it's not really an offensive maneuver per se.
This is almost all 52 blocks. Seen similar in the Constellation videos.
Nice...
Luis Resto used those, look it up. He also used to punch the hips/tighs to weaken the opponent's movement
Thought 💭 he also used tampered boxing 🥊 gloves with the padding taken out to permanently damage Billy Conklin if I remembered his opponent’s name correctly. Thanks to Panama Lewis for taking out the knuckle padding.
Reminds me of chi sao ; good insights
My favourite is the step on the lead and then throw a over hand right people freeze up its hard for them to even pivot let alone move and even if they block the over hand right follow it up with hard left hand to the body
The editing was great in this one! Loved the double head scratch on the butt muscles to the neck part!
So many people capitalising over this single boxing match it is unprecedented :)
Good tricks btw ;) keep up good work
Nice vid!
Judo throw attempts aren't supposed to be overt, usually :-)
