The man can go from a stand still to flicking that stick into your face in milliseconds, not a single part of his body conveys a punch is about to be thrown just completely immune to telegraphy no matter what round it is he's always got fuel in the tank, watching him is a boxing lesson and its some of the smoothest transitioning i've ever seen, the way he's operates at such a surgical level while keeping it playful is terrifying.

The way Floyd can make your eyes move away from the target and catch you in the literal millisecond you’re distracted is nothing short of mind blowing. Notice even as he’s taunting his sparring partner/opponents and they even begin to show a reaction and get distracted he tags them. It goes so much farther then just Floyd’s God given cat like reflexes, his awareness of where your eyes are and where your focusing is remarkable. He goes above and beyond just using head movement and subtle feints like most boxers do. He moves his hands and feet to make you look away just for a split moment to strike then instantly move out of the way of your counters. Then as the round goes on he capitalizes on your frustration by slowly turning up his intensity but not over exerting himself and still keeping his wits about him to still avoid your strikes. The man literally is the definition of the “ sweet science” of boxing. Poetry in motion.

    • @juliansanderson839

Not a very good strategy for tiring out an opponent... you have to cover twice as much distance to circle, while the opponent can cover the radius with a pivot.
this goes to show the stamina difference, not the tactical difference. floyd can do double/triple the ringwork and keep his breathing steady while his opponent is tiring out in the even easier position...

His style reminds me slightly of Prince Naseem in that both can create a lot of power from a very short range from a myriad of angles and still be grounded.
Imagine the fight between them if it had been when Naseem was in His ultimate prime.
The flow from there short range reminds me of Wing Chuns internal energy in the form of relaxation when striking giving lightning fast response in defense and attack without tense restraint.

As a beginner boxer, I want to commend ANY young fighter who gets in the ring with a Pro Fighter, no matter what their status is. I got in the ring with pro fighters and I went 4 three minute rounds with them.
I did not do it out of trying to be tough, I did it out of “I respect you, but I want to let myself know that I can take the heat and that I have something to fight for as well”. Even though I felt it a week later, the pro fighters respected me for this.
Floyd respects these young guns so much that he spars them so they can feel what “greatness feels like”, what you have to do, think, act, react, and etc.
Every Pro Fighter and I mean EVERYONE knows there is a guy somewhere right now who has nothing, nobody, no answers, maybe suicidal thoughts, but he has a dream. He is probably in the dungeon right now with a lack luster coach who is fueling him up. That fighter is probably 10, 12, heck maybe even 6 or 7 ready to dethrone whoever is at the top some years from now or whoever decides to come back to the game.
Floyd is like a big brother, uncle, and even Father to some of these young men, he training them up so he can sit on the throne when his times comes to embrace all he built in this sport. My Brother from college who taught me boxing told me the last thing that any fighter has left when he is an old old old man is his ego. He is going to fight even when he physically cannot.
Salute to the young man in the ring, Salute to the OG Floyd.

@@wavycrockett4261 it’s not a diss, it’s literal facts. Jarvis is a low-level fighter, a good one, but a novice nonetheless. Nothing wrong with that. He’s got great technique given the amount of years he has been in training.
Mayweather is the GOAT. Obviously he would do this to me too, as you so boldly stated. I would fuck your bum ass up though.

It’s kalled life when you have someone like Floyd born to do this even if he didn’t want to box it was his gift as you kan tell he 45 46 still in perfect shape anybody not too many boxer like that after they retire only a hand full but in my eyes he is the best to put on gloves due to the point of hit and not to get hit anybody say they love getting hit a lie if everybody kould fight like Floyd they would simple as that ❤💪🏾🤞🏾✊🏾🙏🏾

He listens to his opponents breathing just like what Berto said. You become vulnerable during in between rally. Fighter's legs is a big factor on that part. 2:08 breathing was heavy and he was like a vulture that frustrates him seeing himself getting exposed that easy.

2:48 That's one of the most frustrating punches to be hit with, one someone conditions you with the jab, and then throws the lead hook. Getting hit with that punch can anger you to a degree, that you have never been before. My guy...... it makes you so mad.

Salute to Jarvis for going in there with one of our greatest champions. Love his cardio. I think the one thing a lot of fighters forget is to make the fight the way they wanna make it. Not trying to hurt, just work on attacking exposed openings. Something people don't realize is a good "Rapid" accurate jab is really your key to Floyd. Use that ring to move around and find angles. So what he blocks a couple. You can Holla at 20 girls and 5 of em you might get a phone number. Just keep shooting. He get close, don't be afraid to hold either. Catch ya breathe, fuck what they talking about.
