Decided to address my sticky Land Rover Defender's rear Door Lock.

My back door started jamming. I thought is was related to the new hinges I installed. A few months later it got stuck, I could not open the door. I used the procedure in this video and the back door works fine now. I turns out that the sticking issue was not related to the hinges, the lock itself was just very dirty. Thanks.

Mine is starting to stick and doesn't always open with the remote so this is a great help. Hope it's as easy as you make it look. Thanks.

Hey Andrew, It wasn't as difficult as I thought it would be, make sure everything is clean after soaking it, I could have probably been a bit more patient in the process. At first, I thought I screwd up because it felt horrible to turn the key. But after pushing a lot of Vaseline in the keyhole using the key, It now smoother than ever.
