Clearing land for a cabin and cutting in a driveway

  • This is the first 2 days of this project, pushing in a driveway from the main road, connecting to an existing quad trail, going up to the building site and clearing about a half acre of trees to get it prepared for a cabin to be built. I also get to test out my new ripper to cut into some rock to widen the road and use the rock to make a good road base.

Not trying to dog on you or anything, but is it an optical illusion or could you have built up the road a bit between the road and the curve right there at the start? Looks like a dip, I know it is going downhill but if you were to do a string line from the curve to the street, would there be a sag in the middle of it? Do you have enough room to dig more shale out of the hillside of the driveway (to fill that low spot) and is the owner willing to spare the cost of the additional work? Honestly, I am just being curious- but I know what the comments reads like, but I don't have enough time to sit and be gentle about it all.
    Thanks for the videos.

Its pretty flat at the beginning, but I also didn't want to make it perfect because the town will most likely make us, or pay them to put a culvert in at the start there. I didn't get any good after videos of the driveway but it came out pretty good. I will be working there next week so you will be able to see the final results as well as some more progress.
