- This is the first job I use the stump ripper on. I clean up organic debris and haul it away from the property. I also take down a tree that is close to the house.

Jesse, you are an excellent example for the youth 👍🌹All respect and appreciation to you
The sound of the roots getting cut was so good! Nice job!
Nice to see a operator that is will get out of his seat and help out.
Great to see your ripper do the job for you. Good stuff Jesse
Trees are so nice till the stumps have to come out. Good job.
Your hard work on making that fang talon root ripper has past the test. Congratulations Jesse on another great job and video. Thanks for sharing.
That ripper sure does the job,..well done Jesse!
getting paid having fun, good for you and andrew
I’m starting to think that u r up against Andrew. His people r talking about him instead of who they r watching. My hero is hedblom I think he would have got it out with half a bucket
You do a great job in getting all the roots and trash up after pulling the stump out. I don't like leaving any roots or leftovers in the ground just to be covered up. Wonderful clean job. Salute to you Jesse!!
boy that worked much better then i thought it would ,nice job
thanks
That's an amazingly tough little machine!
Thanks for the video.
Liked watching that beak-like thing shake the dirt from the root wads and your comments about what you were doing with the tree. Used your hammer well. Thanks for a nice vid.
Cool to see yet another local guy on RUclips. I'm from Woodstock/Saugerties and in the same line of work so its awesome to your work! Keep it up!
I always found it very satisfying when a stump finally “popped “ free! 😊
Thats what she said
Dear Jesse Mullet.
Very well done, Sir! All of it: The ripper, the work and the video. Congrats. Thanks a lot for making taping editing uploading and sharing.
Best regards luck and health to you.
Nice job, always enjoy seeing what you and Andrew will come up with next.
Nicely done ! Very satisfying to watch you work.
Good Job. Looks like another tool for Andrew to add to his collection.
WAS THINKING THE SAME!
I like that Andrew has become the measuring stick for these kinds of videos...
I was mentally critiquing this guy's excavator technique like I knew what I was talking about.
I don't know. Andrew seems to be doing fine without it. ;-)
I'm thinking that that tool would not be fast enough for Andrew. He likes to hit it real hard and fast, so I'm not sure if that pace would satisfy him. Great tool that looks like it does well.
Have u saw the guy taking out stumps with a tool like this but on back side of it is jagged and he calls it a rooster. He takes the back side and just crunches it and the it pops out
Cool tool Jesse, thanks for showing how it works!
You and Andrew are great at your job and your vids are spot on love it 🇬🇧
Beautiful place !! Love the trees !! Good work !!! Thanks !
Looks like a praying mantis chewing up big bugs! Lol great job, Jesse! Wish you and AC lived nearby!
Great job Jesse.
Show you pick those stumps clean never stops impressing me
Cool video
thanks Glenn
Nice work! That was pretty good sized job! And you reaped decent load of cut firewood to keep/sell!
thanks. that firewood has started to rot so I will probably just burn it when the burn ban is off
Damn, your toothpick works a treat. Nice job on the fabrication too. 👍
Hello from Croatia / EUROPE !
Hi Dear Jesse !!! for the hand work I made and fix a sort of RAKE on my PC27 Komatsu, 12 teeth +/- 11 centimeter between the teeth of 14 cm long it is a real complement to the shank ! the same rake fit's on the large bucket and on the narrowest bucket for trenches....! I gain time and hand-work !!! the fixing is done with 2 big tensioners !! Best regards friend !
Hi Jesse !!! I am teasing Andrew about the shank you made, telling him to make his own....but he tell's me that " they " are to offer him one....? so he want make it.....I told him I wanted to see who of you two have build the best..but he doesn't hook on the game !! I love seeing you work with that so simple tool ! Best regards Friend, keep strong and healthy !
this ripper has saved me alot of work, I am about to try it out in some frost for the first time
@@jmuller86 Hi JESSE !!! You should make one double tooth shank (like komodo lizard tung) a little more curved and sharper --- also I made for my Komatsu PC27 a rake 11 teeth of 12 cm long 1" roat iron 11 cm apart from one an other that I hook on the small bucket hold by 2 HD tensioners , for cleaning shrub raking small bushes small roots it is perfect -----! Take care of yourself !
Machine music always cool
Hi Jesse - just found your channel - enjoying the stump ripping in particular!
another nice job the ripper works very well, you and andrew are my favorite you tuber :-)
thanks
Great video
thanks
I love your video, from the Viking in Denmark.
That Ripper really worked well and I think that adding some serrated type edge would probably be helpful, too, as you originally suggested. This was very enjoyable and your explanations were timely and informative - great job! Had to laugh when the camera went over! I do have one very minor suggestion relating to balancing the audio that I think would help your already excellent video. I did have to turn my speakers down a bit with some of the music because some of the pieces were too loud compared to when you had just finished speaking. Very minor, as I say, but would make your very good vids even better! Thank you for sharing.
If the serrations faced upwards, they would cut the roots on the upstroke, but wouldn't be blunted when digging down. Just a thought.
Agree on the music, if it's electronic beep-boop-brap, nobody over 12 wants to listen to it.
@@____________________________.x Good thought. I see some of the commercial rippers have serrations, some don't. Some have them on the inside of the curve/hook, some outside. I guess you could even have both edges serrated. I do think Jesse's idea of putting on a tooth now that he knows it works OK would be a good idea, too.
@@____________________________.x Please don't complain that is a very miner problem just turn your sound down if you don't like it. I think Jesse makes great videos.
@@canvids1 - Wind your neck in eh? That wasn't a criticism of the content, the video was great, just pointing out the music choice is a bit off for the likely viewer demographic. I gather it's a bit hard to source copyright free music, but Wranglestar does OK and I remember Andrew had some decent rock music once
@@dalepremo3695 yea I will probably put serrations on atleast the back, maybe pretty sharp too, not sure about the front because some roots I do want to pull instead of cut, maybe I could make the front removable with a pin or 2
Man that ripped the stump like nothing, good job on weld. Watch out stump's here comes the fang ha ha thanks for the video. Peace
thanks Bruce
Very good operating and good job!
I wish you all the best, you have a great life.
Very good work, always thinking ahead. You are and will do very good with u tube and your trade. Thank you. Well done video to.
Thanks for posting this. I'm going to make a stump ripper like yours for my excavator.
keep up the good work ethic you have my subscription
Hello from Malaysia... Nice video u and Andrew doing a good job.
Its a nice ripper and very handy !
Very good job. Nice video thaks.
Nice 35c man! I have an 02 35c with an enclosed cab and it is a pretty nice machine. Have a ripper as well and it's awesome
I like your work style.
My contractor uses a CAT 322 with a huge ripper tooth. He often pops them out on the first pick, but then, we are talking Ponderosa Pine. and my soil is very granular. I asked him to remove a rock that was sticking up about 6". It now marks the end of my driveway.
That ripper really maximizes the power of that small ex, nice that it doesn't disturb the dirt as much as digging out too.
Great work 👍🇬🇧
Enjoyable video, great camera work , good music . Talon the ripper.
That’s a neat little instrument you’ve made there
nice. I want a stump ripper
Gotta love the hydraulic thumb
right-on man, nice work
Nice work
thanks
NICE WORK...
Great job.
Now that is an effective attachment.
makes me want to buy a backhoe. Very therapeutic.
Jesse ,
Rippers sure are handy on tree stumps and roots ! Maybe you have done this already but think about using your plasma to bevel the leading edge of the fang . Don't worry if your cut is a little ragged because that will give you a serrated effect . The other improvement you could do is build up the cutting edge with some hard facing rod . Considering the rocky ground you and Andrew work in all the time your ripper will last a whole lot longer between maintenance episodes . Just some suggestions for what their worth . Keep up the good work and the videos !!
yea I think I will make another video with some improvements to the ripper, I got a replaceable tooth for it today. Thanks for the suggestions
Stump ripper works pretty darn good, its going to get al lot of use up in your neck of the woods...no pun intended!
You and Andrew make very good videoer.
Man that stump ripper is the shit!!!!!!👍👍👍👍
Thanks for the video!
That works slick!
my stumps are 1-2ft in diameter and about 5ft into the ground. Best technique I’ve found is to either dig deep enough with backhoe to cut off side roots with reciprocating saw, but pull it out, or just dig around the stump 2-3 ft and then chop off about 1ft below ground level with a chain saw and cover it back up.
best yet Jesse
That works nice.
rippers are great, I use one to do trenching for irrigation sometimes
I like your " Dragon's Tooth".
Great work , also that ripper needs to be called the Talon 😂👏
Could you imagine if you had a double talon about 10 inches from each other!
Scorpion!
Like that stump ripper , gonna have to get one for my Kubota
Exactly why it is more sensible and ultimately cheaper to push trees over.
I never saw any contractor shake the dirt off of the trunks, very smart good job!
You need to watch more contractors. I do it all the time. It helps the stump burn better and reduces the weight of it too.
Much better Jesse . Fr India
Gosto muito do seus videos e do Andrew, moro no Brasil estado de São Paulo cidade Taquaritinga!
Can someone translate that to English please?
nice vidoes.
Hi,
a) That stump ripper turned out to be a pretty good idea, seemed really effective; &
b) I could not help thinking of all of the time and effort that somebody put into cutting, splitting and stacking all that firewood; I hope that you were able to find someone who could use it for heating.
I wish I had that digger.
Since the video is 26 minutes long I’m curious as to the total amount of time you spent on this job? Thanks, Tim @ Cliffside Acres
this pleace in usa is beutiful
i loved working in this pleace
You are like a surgeon! I never appreciated the finees and precision that is required for this job.
Finees? What's finees?
bien bonne video dans le style camarata !
Nicely done ! The old wood stack pile of logs would be someone else`s treasure , i`d get a lad in to sort it out at your yard and sell it for fire wood, money for nothing and more importantly, perhaps a job for a homeless guy and no wasted trees , perfect opportunity for a homeless guy back on their feet ! one more humanity restored story to add to our reality !
Nice video and good job that hook is pretty slick #WorldsOkayestFarmer
Nice 👍
I need to get me one of them rippers
Hi Jesse, just watch your video. look the the stump ripper work make the equipment less heavy. It's Good. Did you made comparison the time spent to draw the stump, compare to use a Standard or digging bucket. Cause, the hole ex stump, easy and fast to cover by normal Bucket, no need to exchange as you use the ripper. Regards, from Indonesia.
Nice, do u think it's possible to make one of those for a skid steer?
LOT`S OF FIRE WOOD
Where did u purchase the stump ripper thats badass i need one really bad thanks
LOOKS LIKE ITS A GOOD PICK FOR FREEIN UP THE DIRT IN A ROOT BALL, DOES THE JOB
Great video, you ned to take care of your toys, they rust away hihi, can be great videos to maintain your maskins
9:26 thank you!!!!
I think the ripper just paid for itself and the time you spent building it -- a few times over.
yea, I cant wait to try it on frost, I have had quite a few times I really wish I had it
I see the Deere doesn't track quite straight, might want to change and sample the final drive oil. It's cheap insurance that might save a $3,500 drive
I'm wanting to clear an acre or two of trees. Mostly white pine with some hardwoods thrown in there.
How many stumps can this beast remove per day?
Also, should I get the utilities marked and flagged prior to ripping?
Great content. Thanks in advance!
Sweet little excavator
All you really need now for your collection ...is ..a big rake attachment for your JD so that you can really sweep up the debris .
i love using a ripper. i can remove stumps at about a 4:1 rate vs a bucket. much less back filling also.
