Edgar Buchanan had a long and distinguished career, so there aren't many movies or early TV shows where he shows up somewhere in a guest role, or, as in Petticoat Junction as a regular. His features certainly changed over the years, but his voice was always distinguishable.

AND cut calves away from mama cow, be the best roping horse you could ask for, know what a steer was gonna do before the knucklehead knew and head him off. Borrowing a phrase it ain't the sze of the horse, but the size of the heart. Cold bloods were fine for plowing and pulling wagons. Cowboying no so much.
