BADGE WITHOUT HONOR: Adam is rescued from an ambush by Gerald Eskith, a lawman who is on a mission to Virginia City. He's looking for Jackson Blaine, a friend of the Cartwrights, claiming he needs Blane to testify against the Murdoch gang. Accompanying them to San Francisco, Adam realizes Eskith's real agenda and discovers it may be too late to save Blaine's life.

When I was a 7 year old girl our neighbor next was a 17 year old boy who had a friend by the last name of Cleavager. I don’t remember his first name but I remember that my 17 year old sister didn’t like or trust either of the two boys. I know that our next door neighbor had been in the reform school for a time. I don’t know if the Cleavenger boy was in there with him or not. 😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮

Emotions...I can’t begin to say how important it is for us humans to learn to manage them. Notice I say manage them, not control them. There was a time in my life that I couldn’t manage my emotions at all. I was super weak at this point in time of my life, & my vision was cloudy...blurry. Not to mention that I was in love with a woman. That fact alone weakened me & many other men, & made it just that much harder for me to manage my emotions. A lot of prayer, & being single for some time now has me balanced if U will. I’ve learned so much about who I am as a man that it’s not even funny. My vision is a lot clearer these days as well. I thank God for helping me with managing my emotions, I take no credit, I owe it all to him. Happy Holidays everybody! Stay safe, stay blessed, & by all means stay healthy. 🙏🏿

Looks like in every eps no matter how much of a pickle they’re in, the bad guys somehow just die off and the Cartwrights are just fearless
They were all great actors.....for ever more and beyound.......damn this series was wonderful.i never tire of Bonanza.....still in 2020.....jesus.

I wish the Pondarosa was never destroyed. That is all America has become a development for any developer. No thought of nostalgia for the people. Williamsburg, Brooklyn is bulldozer ready.
This Episode was one of the greatest of Bonanzas all Star Cast, I first saw it in 1973 & It rained that Saturday & Then came The Big Valley, The Nostalgia is so needed & Necessary because of the crummy shows of today with no real Quality as the shows were of Yester Year, Awesome***

In my humble opinion Daniel Duryea was one of the top ten best villians in Bonanza. Even as a kid his demeanor of playing coy and ruthless literally made me scared but intrigued by his performance. Love this episode so much. Thank you for posting
He was a good villain in many Westerns in films and television. I enjoyed his characters indeed in this .

For some reason Dan Duryea always reminded me of one of my favorite actors, Richard Widmark. Maybe the size of build. Even the features a little bit. However, they usually played opposite roles. Richard Widmark made a very convincing bad man too when he would get that evil 👿 glint in his eye. One time he pushed a poor helpless old woman who was in a wheelchair 🦽, down the stairs. In reality he was a lot like Dan Duryea. Married to one woman all of his life and a dedicated husband, father and a friendly man. A credit to his community!!! 👌👌👌👌🥰🥰🥰
I didn’t even have to look. When Adam asked, Who are you? And the answer was,:A friend. I knew immediately that it was Dan Duryea. His voice is unmistakable!!! 😊😊😊

It's April 8th 2020, and im still watching.
I've been watching the public domain Bonanza episodes since they first hit the rounds of DVD in the early 2000s. But it's been years. Decided to pick the series back up again and rewatch. December 2020.
I hope they finish releasing all the seasons on DVD in region 1. I can't wait for a complete series box set! :)

Whenever i saw Adam, i was reminded of a local Chinese actor Allan Wu. To me they both had that striking resemblance...suave and dashing looking.
Watched many of these when they first aired, telling my age now .
No shame there my friend, I also saw many of them on our local TV station, back in the days of Black and White TV here in country Australia, (pre 1972). Nice to see them in colour.

I'm impressed with the story line. They could make this into a really good movie. Make it surreal dark and spooky. Bad guy must win in the end.

So according to this episode, Hop Sing actually quit and went back to Hong Kong (his replacement, no. 1 cousin, was actually Hop Sing's no. 3 cousin in the earlier episode San Francisco). However, according to a later episode (season 13, "The Lonely Man"), Hop Sing mentions that he never went back to China after his arrival in the US.

I'm new to actually watching Bonanza. Do their storylines often start like they're in the middle of one or am I watching the second halves of "to be continued" cliffhangers without realizing it?

Akin to Star Wars, a lot of entertainment (especially older entertainment) liked to start off with a bang. That way, the audience has to 'catch up' to the characters and continue the story on. I like it as a storytelling device, but it can be a little jarring.

I love this show but as an equestrian, I hate how they ride their horses! They practically rip their horses mouths open with how they handle the reins. They just werent taught to ride properly. Just feel bad for the horses. Side note, Adam is my favortie 🙂

I suppose time will tell the tale but i cant help feel this so called 'officer of the law' is a low down belly chafin snake. Its not often i feel a genuine dislike for a 'character on screen' but this here instance would seem to qualify.
Dan Duryea was lousy actor. He tried too hard to portray his characters, and alot of times he screamed his lines...a real phoney dud.
