In todays video I swap out some infra red taps for some new non concussive press taps, re-seal shower trays, change some thermosteric radiator valves and repair an oil boiler
As always, thanks so much for watching, all the support is so greatly appreciated, have a great bank holiday

found with multisolv, cut the major lump of silicone out, then spray, its good for unsticking the film left. wonderfull stuff. love the vids mate 👍
Looking forward to the bathrooms coming up - how you do the trays and interface with boarding would be really helpful. Thanks Tom, it’s all brilliant 🤩
Thanks for the support mate, I will do a video on that in the future, both the ones I'm on are wet rooms so no trays
Some great little jobs there Tom ..apart from the toilet job 👍👍👍
Thanks for the support as always John
A plumber has no hate, only love.......
Its the honesty Jon I like. No cover ups just as it is. Well done
Thanks for the support Joe, hope you have a great Bank Holiday
Great video Tom, the oil boilers are interesting to me as I only do NG. Poor show from the care home, I bet some plumbers would have walked away for the job. Have a peaceful weekend 👏👏👍
Thanks for the support as always Andy
Yes I agree, used to repair/replace those taps when we had a contract for a certain pub chain,N.C.C. Taps are way better and you usually only need to replace the heads in the future, great video Tom.
Sensor taps have too much to go wrong, thanks for the support as always mate
Great video again Tom we have deal with some sh!!t at times but it’s not always like that just keep plodding on 👍
Thanks for the support as always Kevin
The care home owner should be embarrassed Tom, the 'carerers' should have sorted it before you got there, maintenance issue, sounds like a lack of care, again you have gone beyond the call of duty, I bet you enjoyed your tea when you got home 😂
Thanks for the support as always mate, that job did annoy me to be honest, I was pleased to get it done
It was probably one of the carers! Not a great advert for their care home! Thanks for the content Tom ! Top man!
Thanks for the support as always mate
Hey Tom, Great work as always. I think I would have charged the carehome a $500 (or pound) cleaning fee if that was me!
It was a bad job, you do feel like charging more, thanks for the support as always mate
Good vid mate! Hope you’re well!
Thanks for the support as always Brad
But if a tip when renewing silicone. Once I cut everything out I get the Deawalt blower in and dry it out as best as I can. This allows the silicone to really set in the gap and removes all the little shitty bits of debris too.
Good idea that, thanks for watching, have a great weekend 👍
@@PlumbLikeTom it certainly speeds things up for me when jobbing and you can walk away knowing the silicone is setting where it’s hard to reach on a really dry surface.
Hi Tom, another great film there thank you, some nice jobbing about tasks in this film to keep you busy, although I would have walked away from the care home. I refuse to work in some so called care homes near me these days. Have a great weekend away and as always, take care, Tom. 👍👍👍
Thanks for the support as always Chris, a few of the care homes are really good but some aren't so great, I think they struggle for staff and they bring in agency workers who don't seem to care, have a great weekend
You can get a job as a carer Tom ❤
I am a electrician I like big jobs then small ones. But I try and do them on a Saturday morning till 12.o’clock.Carl in Norwich
Thanks for the support Carl, have a great bank holiday

Thanks for the support as always Chris, have a great bank holiday

Thanks for the support as always Gary, have a great weekend
It’s ok I do all the little ones on the weekend.you have a good bank holiday weekend too.Carl
Thanks for the support as always Carl, hope you have a great weekend mate 👍
Lost count of the amount of these taps i went out to, the most difficult job was to adjust the operating distance of the infrared sensor, it’s actually a two man job, also found solenoids on back to front
Thanks for the support as always mate, I've never been a fan of them, I fitted a load on a job a few years back and had a few call backs to them, it put me off wanting to fit anymore
Jobbing is always good viewing Tom, hope you enjoy the weekend, you deserve a break take care and look forward to what’s coming next 👍🚽
Thanks for watching as always Peter, hope you have a great Bank Holiday
Great video Tom but I'm looking forward to the bathroom ones now. Have a good weekend.
Thanks for the support as always Hugh
Nice work Tom, I enjoy the jobbing around stuff but I enjoy all your content if I’m honest.
Thanks for the support as always Charles, have a great Bank Holiday
Jeez, some people have no pride Tom, just leave there rubbish everywere with an out of site, out of mind mentality. It's like everything with those infa red taps just another thing to go wrong. Were those no concussive on a blending valve? What make and model were thise grips Tom, they looked like a new addition. Keep up the good work and have a cracking weekend and bank Holiday.
Thanks for the support mate, they were on a blending valve, they are knipex cobras, I just cleaned them to look new, I've had them a while now, have a great weekend 👍
always a good watch mate
Thanks for the support as always mate, hope you have a great weekend
great work as always, hope you get some chill time over the holiday weekend

Another good video Tom Back in the day my work was gas breakdowns filling in with servicing and I found that the days went quickly although the odd big job to was always welcome. 👍
Thanks for the support as always Colin, it does make the day's go fast when you are jobbing
You know the regs, Cleaning up human waste then dealing with supply pipes. The 2 don't go together.
Have a good weekend Tom, another enjoyable vlog.

Definitely not your job too clean up after the residents use a toilet that was waiting to be fitted, sounds like the staff needs retraining as there are responsibilities is too be looking after the people in there care, nice work on the tap’s have a nice time off and a nice relaxing weekend 👍👍👍👍👍👍🏴🏴🏴🏴🏴🛠👌
Thanks for the support as always mate, most of the time they are agency staff who don't care, have a great weekend 👍
multi solve tremendous stuff
It certainly is, thanks for the support as always Dave, have a great weekend
Garbage taps them note but trouble
Hiya mate love the videos, just a tip for the sensor taps. Iv found when I'm having multiple fail off the tmv it's usually because the tmv is restricting the pressure so the solonoid won't open. Have a try if you get the same issue again. I only found out originally by replacing the taps and still having the same issue then went to the tmv... An expensive fix in the end hahah
I will certainly check that next time, most of the solenoids on these had been wet through due to water getting under the tap, thanks for the support mate
Like water less urinals
Thanks for the support as always Glyn, hope you have a great weekend
Good vid as always Tom, what was the spray you used to remove the silicone ?
It's ct1 multisolve, its good stuff, thanks for watching as always mate
Try for a good mix ,it keeps you happier
Thanks for the support as always Tom, have a great weekend
😊😊😊😊
Thanks for the support as always Ross, have a great bank holiday mate
Hi Tom great video as always, do you prefer jobbing about or big install work I use to love jobbing but much prefer being on a big job these days
A bit of both, big jobs are nice when you can drop on and off as you know you always have work and somewhere to go, small jobs can be more profitable if you have enough and can fill the diary, thanks for the support mate, have a great weekend
That toilet sounded grim, I hope you loaded the price to compensate. I would either have charged an extra hour or walked.
A half mask respirator with straps pulled tight and with an organic vapours filter will block any odour on this sort of task/ environment.
I've never installed an infrared sensor tap and not had issues with them. Can't stand them! Too many things to go wrong. Don't know how someone has managed to make something as simple as a tap so complicated!
I agree mate, to much to go wrong and to expensive to fix, thanks for watching
Hate knuckles on waste pipe, sweeping bends always. Should stop making them.
I bet you carnt be arsed with that silicone shower try job takes ages for not a lot of money not a plumbers job really I suppose.
All jobs pay mate, I work for a lot of repeat customers so I will do what ever really, thanks for watching mate
All us plumbers have been to 💩💩💩💩💩💩jobs once
I've had a few Keith, thanks for the support as always
