man good that i saw your video! i was thinking so hard about that exact filter. 1: Inside with closed doors and windows and you drive on road with noises you dont hear anything....and than you even lost something on power...good that i saved the money and also illegal! SUPER AND REAL VIDEO
Your Welcome ! What i dont understand how Other Guys with Videos Like intake comparison Videos gain 12-14 HP? What they make different ? I Trust you that seams more real
Ok so you think they maybe have Something different and Not only intake ? I watched this also m.ruclips.net/video/xKLYaR_8rPs/видео.html&pp=ygUbeWFyaXMgZ3IgaW50YWtlIGNvbXBhcmlzb24g They make a Lot of Power with intakes, that i dont understand I think the Car is Stock. But yes i think Just intake Not 15 HP xD
I Just watched another Video again and you are right, they have different exhaust and opf delete In combination they gained 12 HP Thats maybe why you are right
@@JesseSpec so more HP gain than the MST Intake LOL.... for context, I'm an MST fanboi, as I have one in my M340i (which I'm considering selling to get a GR Yaris or GR Corolla)
@@DonsShed not really. It was 5hp on 100% stock car. If the exhaust already creates so much gains that you hit the max the oem ecu is willing to hit, then you will peobably not see any gain, whatever the intake you use
Aftermarket intakes for this car aren't so much about raw power gains as they are about making sure you maintain good power levels regardless of situation. Stock intake is COMPLETE DOGSHIT when it comes to heat soak due to bottom flap opening on stock airbox soaking in ALL the hot air after you've been standing still at traffic lights, traffic jam, any reason to stop basically, and you want to accelerate away. Enjoy the stock intake during summer at 30c outdoor temp after a drive and trying to accelerate away from stoplights after standing still for 10 seconds. Good bye 20-50 horses, I kid you not. ECU simulates shockingly low accelerator pedal position and pulls immense timing and it's not a once-a-month-thing. Hot weather, spirited driving, stock intake = No. The air has nowhere to go under the bonnet and the flap opening at 4k just kills any performance if you aren't up to speed. Even then under heavy acceleration it sucks in hot air. So does the small upper intake at lower RPM. Summer's coming, you'll see what I mean... ;) / Swedish GR owner who drove in 30c+ and also -15c (performance is always good sub zero temps stock) installing this next week to remedy issues and make it more comlpiable with tune. 1.7 bar boost wants more air, OEM can't deliver that smoothly.
Thanks for the input and sharing your knowledge/experiences 👍🏼🔥👍🏼 I do also get the feeling that the power isn’t always repeatable on this car. I’ve only had it during end of autumn and winter. Lets see how it goes from there in Summer 🔥👍🏼
Hi, thanks for asking. I actually did a video on how to dyno a GR Yaris in 2wd. Check the base run video I made with my GR fully stock. Its all fully explained 😉 I use a Syvecs 4wd controller
@@JesseSpec awesome, thanks. I’ll take a look. I was under the impression running like that had some sort of variable effect on power. How is the syveccs AWD controller? I have the inconsistent boost problem with my Yaris and haven’t been able to fix it. I have a suspicion that the AWD computer is detecting slip in the coupling and reducing power for that reason. I know the syveccs reverses the lock up strategy so I was hopeful it would help. Any feedback?
@@jasondoulkeridis6202 to be honest, I still haven’t fully checked all the features of it. I’ve been mainly using it for dyno runs, but even on the street I do get the feeling of having more consistent power than before… who knows? Maybe this would fix your problem 🤷🏻 I can’t say for sure though
@@JesseSpec it is a mod I was planning to do regardless, so if you feel that it made your performance more consistent than before I think I have received the feedback I was hoping for. Thanks!

@@peterpyzer hi! Thanks for the trust.
I highly suspect that the stock ecu maxed out the gains it allows the car to make just with the exhaust.

Tegiwa imports tested the mst intake on their gr yaris and it gained 12hp second only to the eventuri which gained 15hp
I know…. On my car it refused to make any gains… Motive DVD had the same problem… 😮
There is also a Turbo Inlet from MST, would be interesting to test this together with the intakte.
Thanks for the comment! I’ll give it some research and might test it ;-) best regards.

Hello :) Did you dyno test to see if there were any gains made with the Greddy Panel Filter?
@@DonsShed Hi, if I’m not mistaken, there was 5hp

When you dyno the car did you simply apply the handbrake or did you do something more detailed?
