I'd have settled on Stage 2, too; but my heart *_wants_* Stage 4!
I like how you acknowledge keeping a car usable and not obnoxiously loud. Makes a nice change from other youtubers that would just straight pipe it.

I would run it with stage 4, my neighbours don’t really care since I live in the country side. If you have Karen’s as your neighbours Then stage 2 or 3 might be the max before the police are at your door.

I think I agree, stage 2 for the most part but have that stage 4 y-pipe in the garage so you can swap it over on occasion. Bloody perfect!
Second one is also gentleman like! Like it more than the stage 1 oh my ! Stage 3 is so sweeeeet and towards a weekend warrior!
I'd have Stage 2 mounted too, but have also that final straight pipe in the trunk to take home. You never know... xD

I'm actually really surprised the exhaust sounds from this 3 cylinder engine sounds better than a lot of 4 cylinder engines.
Straight through sounds so good, if it had a remote control valve it would offer the best of both worlds. I daily an Abarth that is straight through from the cat-back so I really don't think the 'stage 4' was over the top tbh 😅

Would be really nice to hear a similar video with different intake boxes reviewed. I think the intake systems is a bit untried and a nice carbon intake will sound amazing.
Stage 4 proper rally note. They should have put this exhaust on values So it can be quite if you like.

Stage 4 sounds dope but stage 3 a good all rounder.

Anyonw know how to order the stage 4. I can only find these exhausts on the GR Yaris shop but doesn’t say which one the stage 4 is. If someone could share the link that would be great.

Sounds like a baby Giulia QV. And yes I’m aware the 90• V6 makes the GQV sound like 2x 3 cylinders slapped together :D
I also love the Rev limiter sound, reminiscent of the old Audi RS6
Option 2 with a bypass valve in front of the back box so you can turn it into exhaust 4 with a button?
Not goin to lie for a Little Toyota that thing sounds really good! Kind of reminds me of how a Subaru STI or Mitsubishi EVO sounds. Really cool for such a small car!
Does ‘stage 4’ offer a power gain or the opposite?
Stage 4 but with controllable exhaust flaps, will still give that grumble of a straight pipe but can be quietened down with the flaps.

Basically non of them. All the restriction is in the turbo and GPF. The back section makes no difference as they’re all very free flowing.
What's is this paint 🎨 code, is this only version of yellow 💛 they offer only reson I ask is I love it and don't like the other yellow the normal yaris can come in.
What resonator are you using ?

Not tempted by the turbo back system they offer as opposed to just the cat back? I'm all about Stage 4 option 😆

Interesting video. Would have been better if the sound levels of each option had actually been measured. This would help those who were considering taking it on a track day. It would also have been interesting to know what the performance gains were between stock and each stage.

So may I ask did you not look at a rolling road test to understand the power gain or loss of the different set ups.
stage 4 reminds me of an Guilia Qadrifoglio in race mode? maybe the 3 vs 6 cilinder v6 opt. Sounds great in stage2 and stage3. .

Why buy a car with rally DNA, then tone it down from its potential? You’ve got so many other cars to choose from. This one is unique. Do it justice and give it the full works James. You know you want to 🤩

I’d take the gentleman’s setup as it’s going to get louder once the DPF is removed and the front pipe is done!

Stage 2 for me. Thinking about changing the exhaust on my GR-Yaris too. Think the Miltek set-up is too boy racer like. Would love to wrap mine in Renault Liquid Yellow. Any chance you can look for a company that will lower the seat bases, but keep the standard seats?

Muffler delete is usually the best option. My NC Miata and Honda fit sport has one.
