What are you confused by? Why wouldn't you put intake and exhaust mods on a modern performance car?

Take out the restrictions help it breathes better, unleash the actual attainable power, what's wrong with that?
That being said, a good downpipe would be sufficient, don't need the intake nor the catback. Those are more of an driving experience enhancements.
