Metal clip solution for front pin's clip is a great solution. I'll do it too if I loose my clip. Everyone seems to use medium springs at the front. I went for the softest setup though. I should try green springs sometime.
Great content! I didn't know that upgrading the transmitter would improve the steering angle that much. I'm currently running my MA-020 on a tight check where in some corners I've to be really slow to make the turn due to it's bad turning radius. I'm running on +1 on tie rod which reduce the turning circle a bit but make the car bit twitchy on initial steer input
Sports models are great as you can buy the FlySky iT4S instead of the 432PT, exact same transmitter but less than half the price. It's what i use with my Sports 2 RWD and its amazing.
@@GarageMiniRCUK Like i say the iT4S is the exact same transmitter as the 432PT, Kyosho just rebranded the handset and firmware. Only thing that might need done is flipping channel 3 (might be channel 4,) as sometimes this will limit your steering until flipped.
@@ringod123 ok 👌 checked the it out. Wow. This should work with the evo chip. Great info 👍🏽 can't believe I didn't see this before. I might get one and do a video.
Hi there, will the ma-020s stock esc works on 2 x 3.7v liteon battery without changing the original transmitter? Do you need to add any voltage regulator to get it work? Thanks
So I hope that someone can help to confirm and advise it over here that this will works by running it in a stock AWD RTR set with 2 dummy battery and 2 lite-on 3.7v without replacing any other’s parts cuz i can’t seems to find more information regarding on this online.. tqtq
It's should run the same as my Ma020 beast mode video. Thst was a stock awd Ma020 with lipo 3.7v x2 and 2 dummys. The transmitter makes no difference to the esc just the steering.
@@GarageMiniRCUK I just picked up my first one it's a mr 03. Wish I would have bought a drift car instead any suggestions for the mr chassis? No one around me races these I'm still thinking about keeping it more of a racer instead of a Drifter and maybe get a drift chassis later
@@mzondi1970 yes that's the best way. Depends what surface you run on. Tyres and suspension set up make a big difference to handling on rwd cars. I had to get high grip tyres to run mine on the kitchen floor as would spin out way to easily. This isn't an issue on the track. Also depends on wheelbase 98mm is easiest to handle. Which one do you have?
I have the Sauber body Merc. Haven't checked the wheel base yet. I also just got the WL toys k989. Ill use that for now to practice drifting. Both are still in the boxes at the moment due to all that is going on with this virus stuff. Haven't had time to get them out. Both still rock stock but I have new kyosho drift tires for the 989. I need wheels for it I guess

I also used copper slip (motorbike/car grease like compound) on rear spring towers , this really improved the rear end predictability .
Do either one of you guys have a driftshark s918? I’m curious to know what differential I can swap it with since it’s a 1/26 scale.
Worth mentioning the Kyosho transmitter is a rebranded flysky. hence why the UI is very very similar
Didn't know that. That's interesting. I know my old flysky worked with this Ma020 but endpoints and turning were limited even more.

Once in awhile it would be nice to SEE who we are listening to.

Ok I will check it out. Great tip thanks 👍🏽 . I did try my flysky gt3b but steering endpoints were reduced 50 percent even when set to 120 percent.

@@ringod123 Do you know if it works with the BS6 gyro reciever from flysky?
@@GarageMiniRCUK Yes it does.
btw, I found installing a gyro on a MR-03 makes the turning radius larger than without it. Do you find the same behavior?
Can a pn racing 50t motor be used with the lithium battery?
I've never used any pn motors. Best thing to do is go on the mini z world Facebook group. They will help. 👌👍🏽
Hi. Can I ask what charger are you using for your 350mah 3.7v batteries ? Cheers
Have new video with better 1.5 li ion batteries and charger going live today.
@@GarageMiniRCUK I just bought a bunch of they batteries. lol
I'll put a face book post of all my chargers so you can see what I use.
@@GarageMiniRCUK Cool.
The track in your garage, can it be configured differently?
Yes
@@GarageMiniRCUK like from one room to another
Yes. You can make different tracks but mimuim would depend on the lane width of 90cm

I have used and it was OK with syncro touch.

@@GarageMiniRCUK so far no issues running it right? How bout overheating? Any issues? Btw Thx for the swift response dude
No probs. Has a shorter runtime. Just be careful you put dummy connectors in. Not 4 x 3. 7v. I made this mistake with my evo and blew the board. 😂
What is your Rim and your locknut ?
Hi, not sure what you meant? The offset of wheels?
Didn't know it but I follow you on IG too
Haha, nice of you to drop by to say hello 👋 👍🏽 appreciate your support.

Yes the kt 432pt synchro touch should work. One the subs mentioned the flysky its4 being cheaper and the same.
