I've been looking for this exact comparison. Thanks so much for this. Easy to get caught up in the weeds when beginning. I also appreciate the well thought out responses to the viewers. Can't wait for my R32 readyset to get in!
Thanks for the support brother! That's awsome. You'll love it for sure. I have another ma020 video coming out within the next week that you may find interesting.
Hey great video. I'm new to 1:28 cars and started a view weeks ago with WLtoys 284131 RWD drift builds. Its all about drifting, Im not interested in Onroad Track racing. So, if I want to start with a mini-z drifter, it seems, that the M020 is the way to go, right? Thanks a lot for Your incredible work. Great drift skills!!
@@musthavewheels I'm a beginner from Peking, this vedio is very helpful for me,Thanks for sharing the video. I bought MA020S with Subaru 22B body,JDM is the best😀
Thanks brother. You'll have a lot of fun with it. It's all practice. And, if you have the opportunity to go to a local track and get some pointers from the pros, it really helps. I'm still learning as I go as well.
How did you set up the wheels for skyline one? I have the same wheels. I put the bearings in the back and tried to screw the wheel nuts in the front. But it was too deep.
I have a 5600kv as well and it coggs just the same. If it were sensored it would be so smooth. But you are right about the 8500 being geared more for racing.
I’ve been wanting to buy the MA-030 EVO for about two years now. I just can’t seem to pull the trigger because the feedback is so mixed. I just recently saw it comes in all red now., it’s beautiful lol. Can we not resolve the throttle problem with a ESC?
Well first you should watch the video because there's quite a bit of info on both types of chassis. For beginners I would recommend the ma020. I would also suggest the 94mm wheelbase. I found this wheelbase to be the easiest to drift.
@Iskalar they are all the same chassis (ma020) just different wheelbase. But each model can be converted to 90mm,94mm or 98mm. Check out my miniz Playlist. There is lots of info on this.

I will keep to Ma020
Awesome driving!! Nice Video!
Thanks dude!
You could try a lower KV motor in the brushless, 8500KV seems to be more for racing.

Which midwest state are you from?
I'm from Ontario Canada
Every mini z track should have a fireplace
Right! 😆
Hello Sir, I never drifted till today. What mini-z ma-20 awd would you recommend for learning? Or is every chassis ok?
