I recently destroyed my ACL riding BMX and stumbled upon Mini-Z to pass the time as I heal. Anyway, I'd like to make at track like yours and maybe start a club around Seoul, South Korea. It'd be great to know a bit more about how you started the club, what you need, etc. And more about that track, it looks dope. Thanks for posting and I look forward to learning more.
All you need other foam track / timing system hardware / software usually livetime software for making brackets. Then just good social media post and marketing to get the word out and have a few people/ hobby shop that can help with prizes or to host a permanent track.
Great video! I really appreciate the attention to tire specs! Looks like you set them up for more neutral handling with the staggered compound. Love this information!
Great video, nice club track. I have a few Mini-Z's too but my all-time favorite are Dnano's, I have my own club setup too with 3 Home Circuit tracks. They're much smaller 1/43 but nowadays there getting pricey but the track is easier to setup, change configurations and tearing down and the best thing is the built-in transponders and the small mass of the cars break less and 1 cell lipo batteries that last quote a while racing. Again great video
This looks great, but the scale speed is SO fast! I’ve also watched the drift cars and that looks fun too, but the drift angles, like the real cars is so extreme. It would be cool if we could come up with a hybrid version that lowers the scale speed and allows some drift, somehow lowering the grip to a more realistic level without the extreme drift angles. Imagine being able to play around with understeer and oversteer like in a full sized (non-drift) race car!
Great Video, very well thought out and presented, I just ordered my first Mini-Z today! Where in Australia can you find PN Racing batteries? I've had a look online but I can't find them.
Great video, very helpful - thank you. I already know that I want to start my RC reunion with Kyosho MINI-Z. Just can't decide on my first (but not last) one. Should I got with RWD MR-03 or 4x4 Crawler... that's the question. It's so hard to pick the first one! :D
MR-03 is my choice! Though I'd only get back into it if I could race at a club... I had two attempts at Mini-Z in the past, early around 2004 then again 2008, and quit each time.. This time it has stuck since I've been able to race
BULLS EYE!!! a fantastic guide for beginners. well edited. well communicated. well presented. Kyosho should hire you really. You know how the Japanese are weak on marketing. This video likely upped Kyosho sales in AUS by 10%!
I bought a second hand mini from Japan. Its a little jittery when driving and it wants to drive on its own when the radio controller is off. Can I get replacement part to fix the problem and where?
HI, My name is Vince I have a question: I would like to order an inexpensive TX and RX for my future Kyosho Mini-x MR04 EVO 2! Can I use the Kyosho KT531P ? Do you ( or somebody) have a tip 🙏for an affordable TX and RX? e.g Vince di Fabrizio
Haven’t tested the difference between them and I usually switch batteries between races so I don’t know the answer. In home practice though, for both brushed and brushless , I’ve found that one pack can last for 2x 8min races and drop off on the 3rd race. Or just doing lap practice they last 20-40mins
Thats weird youre only running RWD touring cars. I mean if you ever want to step up to 1/10th TC thats dominated by AWD classes because they run faster and handle better.

Thanks! Yeah they are tonnes of fun if you can find a club near you
We are both fans of the Uber Kyosho toolbox. Sambar 💜
👍🏻
Hi, which RCP kits did you combine to achive your living room track layout? What are the dimensions?
Excellent video.
Very helpful information :-)
Are guys still racing ?? Where is your club??
What should I upgrade first 🤔
Your driving skills. Work on that.
What happens when you mix 2 and 2 of the batteries that have the most punch and the ones with more time?
Where do you get the curbing to build a track

How do these cars run without a track? I've only seen them used on track.
They can run okay on smooth clean concrete, I used to run them on netball courts back in the day before the foam tracks were around
When did Australians start using "zee" instead of "zed"?
No drift race?
Got the wild body Hellcat
How long does 4 AAA Nimh 800mah batteries fully charge using the liito kala charger?
What’s the wheels on the car you feature on this vid?
Well that sucks, I bought an MA-02 awd car because the guy at the store said awd would be better handling.
What class would awd fit into?
shit didnt relise this was in brisbane man i was gonna come down on saturday omg
What is the maximum voltage of a miniZ? I want to change the battery to 2x 18650, which is 8.4v peak. Will this burn out the electronics?
Haven't tried it myself, but from what I've read, you can use lipo batts with the MR-03 EVO
I want this but no local tracks in my area.
What is the runtime of a stock brushed RWD ready set compare to brushless?

Hello. I am not planning to race not just yet. I am considering a brushless ready set, does it require a lipo battery?
For the Audi r8 mini z does it matter the height because some say low height and some a thicker a don’t Say it
For box stock class, either will be fine
Where do u race I'm interested in joining I'm Sydney based
We race in Brisbane. In Sydney, search for the following clubs: KTA RC, RC Crew hobbies & Western Zydney Racers
Does Tamiya motors work on Mini-Zs? I'm thinking of upgrading the stock motor to a Light Dash motor.
