No joke im stopping at Walmart on the way home from work today to try and get two of these if they have them. I was laughing at that guy driving. Good stuff!
I have owned 2 ECX vehicles. The Ruckus 4x4 had so many drivetrain issues when I went brushless with it. Broke it like every run. Also owned an ECX Temper Gen 2, which still runs. The Erevo 2.0 is still my favorite.
Never owned an ecx car; however, I do remember them as a decent maker. Great to hear you try to support the local hobby shops whenever you travel and I love the fact you are constantly involving your kids and how they race their mini-Zs. When you do your reviews, maybe add a short segment for Evan or Ethen's opinion or take on the subject. Seeing how a dad involves their children in their hobby is a great inspiration and seeing positive and encouraging dad-ing is a great thing. Keep up with the great videos!
I've had the ecx temper i had a lot of fun with, a torment that got me back into the hobby like 6 years ago and now I have 2 of their tiny motorcycles lol
Not to bad for a Wal-Mart RC, not to bad at all, I wonder if you guys used a power craze what would have happened? Those power craze rc's are incredibly fast for their price point and on smooth proper track, they can fly, I have a total of 4 of them, craze and dune 24. But my beauty is my bonzai jubatus b416, I love it .
Nice didn't know you where in my area. I live about an hour east of Ardmore. Wanted to get into drag racing, where is the closest place to Ardmore that has it?
I wish Melbourne, Australia had the support for for the Mini Z scene. Can buy a kit (limited stock and outlets), but to walk into a shop and have available stock on display and tracks to race would be awesome!
Look up burncity mini z, they’re a club in Melbourne that race at Kew/Balwyn city libraries. I can’t think of any hobby shops that stock mini z parts like this place though. All my local hobby shops closed so my mini z and other cars just sit on the shelf now.
Hey Mark! That was a classic racing with the Walmart car on the track! He was doing pretty good for just grabbing it and going just everyone drilling him too funny! Your son was on it with that car working it pretty good out there ripping laps with it! I hope you guys mod that thing it would be a classic project! The Traxxas Pit Matt's have magnetic compartment in them don't know if I ever seen a review of one? I just have a small magnetic part tray I use when wrenching on RC or real vehicles! Great videos and content!😉📹👍
Do like I do... Cheap-O Walmart or Dollar Store RC converted to hobby grade proportional steering and throttle... generally you gotta swap out the drive motors to something that'll take the extra oomph of a 2 cell/7.4volt LiPo and maybe glue/epoxy the plastic drive gears and rear wheels to their respective metal shafts to keep them from slipping.. . I've also found that a old bicycle inner tube cut to the right width usually stretches over hard rubber/plastic toy RC tires awesomely! Different tire size bicycle inner tubes for different diameter tires.. adds roughly 3/32" diameter to the stock No-Grip toy RC tires but adds more traction than you'll ever believe! Buy em' cheap and make em' fast... Gotta love creative mechanical ability! Everyone please stay safe and God Bless.
Haha atleast mark shows racing. Kevin just sees how fast he can run a xmaxx into a wall before it breaks or how many castle esc's he can catch on fire lol
I have an ecx and didn't Even realize it until you asked. I went and looked them up and I do have a two-wheel drive 10th scale monster truck from them.
I have an ecx i got back in 2016 made it brushless, honestly a very fun rc ... unfortunately it has not made its way out the closet cause of all my other ones, but i think i am gonna take it out this weekend
I had one... it had a ton of motor issues, (it was the first rc car I ever had so I had no idea what I was doing) and I decided to sell it cuz it was really broken. I got a wltoys a959 and it was 50$ and it lasted way longer, and I had way more fun with it than the ruckus and I still love ot too this day... (not saying the ruckus is bad, but I just had a bad experience with it)
I still own a couple 1/10 ecx cars, a ruckus and a 4wd torment. The ruckus is a very that originally had a 27mhz radio. Its been a tank, we still beat on it.
Too funny, almost sad that it held its own so well for nearly 1/20 the cost. I'm dying to get a mini z though, it looks like so much fun. Wish there was some local support. Either way, I love the body support and the driving style variety.
FYI those pn 70t motors are a pain in a butt to put in the stock mid motor tray. Also if u want to run them I would get the pn back end. Also good to run the pn 900 batteries for one races ans the pn 700 batteries are really good.
I got my cousin his first hobby grade every car for this Christmas, it was the ecx torment 1/18 sct! It’s got some speed for such a smal car. I’m still trying to get him to hold the controller correctly, but it’s a work in progress. 😂
Et48.3 has been discontinued for months now and the new 2.0 would be here sometime within the next month to 2 months hopefully. At least that’s when tekno said they would be ready hopefully no setbacks
I had a few ecx cars they are tough as nails real slow out the box with the rtr kit but nothing a brushless swap couldn’t fix and then you had a tough as nails basher. Took the buggy, truck And the ruckus to the skatepark many times
What was the Walmart car called I want to get one for the body lol 😂 and does your buddy there have a website to buy parts from because I’ve been getting ripped off recently on eBay for parts for my mini z
You should do a Walmart car upgrade series!!
Mini z's are cool. It's like taking slot cars to the next level😀
I love watching how you support all of the small shops
Got to love the spatula on a stick!!!
So cool you support the local shops keep it up
No joke im stopping at Walmart on the way home from work today to try and get two of these if they have them. I was laughing at that guy driving. Good stuff!
Out of stock!! 😫
gotta mod the Walmart car! can't wait to see that!
Fun 2 see Walmart car running with the mini z"a can't wait to see how it performs with upgrades
I have owned 2 ECX vehicles. The Ruckus 4x4 had so many drivetrain issues when I went brushless with it. Broke it like every run. Also owned an ECX Temper Gen 2, which still runs. The Erevo 2.0 is still my favorite.

Can’t wait to race mine.
Just made my day thanks Mark👏👍

Again sharing the wealth around. Another shop we get to see. Rule one when traveling listen to the Waze always listen to the Waze.
Ecx rock crawler it was the first car when I picked up the hobby again that was a lot of cars ago. the rabbit hole is deep !!
The body looks pretty damn good!
Loving the Mini-Z videos you’re putting out! Also, that shop has so many Mini-Z parts, awesome to see!
My first hobby grade rc was a ECX ruckus. It's still running good and is perfect for people who are new to the hobby.
Tack in Ardmore, will have to check it out this weekend
That’s cool that place isn’t very far from me here in Oklahoma. I’ll have to go there
I own 4 ECXs ; I got a 1/18 Ruckus, a Temper gen2 , a Micro Roost and an Amp Crush. They're all pretty good for the price!
That is a sweet arC track. Man those cars are going fast at scale
I have an ECX AMP MT. Got it a year ago as my rc to get back into the hobby. Only the electronics were changed to run lipos.
I've had the ecx temper i had a lot of fun with, a torment that got me back into the hobby like 6 years ago and now I have 2 of their tiny motorcycles lol
Just bought my son his first RC and it was an ECX Ruckus. Not a bad little basher for a hundred bucks.
The back of that shop is like a time capsule full of forgotten treasure!
It’s so cool
I raced an ecx torment. It was too heavy as heck. But I loved it and loved racing it.
I like q tips red bull body that thing is sick!!
Good video as always, you should try to upgrade that “mini z” to make it race like an actual mini z that would be tough though
Mini-Z 👍😍👍 awesome ~~!!!!!!!

I have an ecx amp mt 2wd right now. Its a lot of fun. I'm only running nimh in it but hopefully I'll be getting the Traxxas Slash 4x4 Ultimate soon.
I'd love to see a video with more detailed info on your mini z setups. Mods, etc with the local racers.
Nice didn't know you where in my area. I live about an hour east of Ardmore. Wanted to get into drag racing, where is the closest place to Ardmore that has it?
I have an ECX Temper gen2 and it works pretty well
Great video! Love the minis. We just got our track!
The struggle is real here. Great video!

Moviemadpagey Hey, thanks for sharing!
@@paulgarwood192 not a problem mate, hopefully it works out for you, I’d race there too if it were closer to home.
im in shaws all the time, i run a ecx buggy, so he has the parts, not got to race yet at either track but im working on it
I have an ecx ruckus 1/18 and its been pretty good so far
Cool never really thought in Oklahoma there would be a mini z race track or a rc shop my my how times be changing!
That’s hilarious! I have spent a lot of time searching for small RC parts I dropped!
i would've liked to seen it with lipo battery in it before they do the remod you have a great show

@@TheNamesArif he's a annoying fake
He’s a show off! You’ll learn how to just destroy and not care for the hobby from that guy....
😂 listing to Cody is hilarious 😂
You did it! You found mini z paradise! Bro pick up some tires for me. They’re hard to find here in the Midwest.
Where do you live?
1 year ago I brought a ecx temper (a crawler) and it is rally brittle but it is the best size for indoor/outdoor
Pickup a mini z for me. Thanks Mark and boys great 👍job
This is awesome! Wish I could drive 1.5 hours and find mini-z parts here in Indiana! I'd buy it all 😉
Ive owned and ECX. Torment. Just like the traxxas slash was super durable and easy to keep up.
Cody Cooper used to race an ECX 1/8 buggy at Shaw's barn track.
I downtown an ecx but I have driven their temper gen 2 and it is pretty good
Man I used to race mini z’s all the time years ago. Fast pace racing and inside line racing in the South Bay.. rip
I've had quite a few ECX R/Cs, Still have a short course truck with RPM parts.
Had an ECX Ruckus 4x4 back in the day. Damn thing was actually pretty decent.
I have an ecx and didn't Even realize it until you asked. I went and looked them up and I do have a two-wheel drive 10th scale monster truck from them.
Reminds of the Amiga game 'Supercars' :D

The Walmart car turned really well on the mini z track
Are mini Zs fun to drive
I still own a couple 1/10 ecx cars, a ruckus and a 4wd torment. The ruckus is a very that originally had a 27mhz radio. Its been a tank, we still beat on it.

What scoring systems are people using with the mini tracks?
I have the ecx tormmint and it is fun
We have a ecx ruckus with a castle brushless system it shreds the wheel hexes😁
Does he have a conversation kit for a losi ten sct nitro to electric
The struggle is real. Lol🤙
Yep a torment 10th scale and a 18 th scale 4x4 rutkus forget the name but it's a really good upgrade 18th scale
0:00 Me when I lost a damn bearing building the ball diff for a Team Associated 18T and you have to buy a whole other diff to get that one piece.

I had an ECX Torment SCT 1/10th scale , i liked it but the tires were as hard as dried dog shit.
Well, that’s an odd comparison. 😂😂😂
You'll need to modify the plastic motor mount to fit the PN 70 turn motor, or get an aluminum mount.
They must trust people there. Any hobby store I’ve ever been to in California has everything behind the counter😂😂😂
r u sure Q-tip is 11 years old? he looks like he is 13
