+1 for the Jason Snyder cameo :D
Some GoPro settings would be pretty cool man
There’s a video from a month or so ago where Ryan goes through all that
Shock shaft pliers are a life saver when working on shocks or assembling turnbuckles.
I'd love to see a video on your post process for GoPro footage! I've just recently been tossing around the idea of making some videos myself, and it would be nice to see someone else's method. I love the lighting in your videos too... so, ya know, if you ever needed more video ideas.
I second that request please. I currently use the same GoPro 8 to do the videos for our channel but I'd love to see your process. Also curious what program/OS you use to edit with.
Third this. I just got a gopro hero 8 black and I love the potential, but I'm camera illiterate. Also, any tips on making a gopro mount *stay* on a car?
I'm using my cell at 1080p 60 fps, I would be interested in what settings you use then crop in later?
Would definitely love to see some info on the settings used and how you get such good quality video footage . To be honest it’s better than most RC racing footage out there , you know your stuff and your passion is addictive 😀
Yes on the GoPro video. Add to the list of top tools...INFRARED THERMOMETER. Gotta read those motor/engine temps!!!
Would definitely like to see video editing process and methods!
I see a cigar humidor in the back that completes an rc work area!
I was going to say the same thing
What cigars do you have in there Ryan?
The more Ryan Harris videos I watch, the more I like! Great video and great links. I appreciate the helpful guidance whenever it comes to expenses.
Let's see that GoPro video!!!
Yes more gopro stuff u a very good job with yours.
Nice setup!!!
Yes to the go pro settings and post tips.
Please do a video on the GoPro settings
Great vid love this stuff. Yes a GoPro setup vid would be awesome
Thanks for all the information sir...looking forward to seeing more of you voids
I love the cigar humidor in the background!
awesome video thanks!
Another great video, sir! +1 on the GoPro setup tips!
Love to here more about the GoPro use!
Ok best tool for rc racing... real easy... and it wasn’t mentioned BUT it’s here... bar none the best tool for rc racing is the Ryan Harris RUclips channel! 😁😉
Love ya man! Learning so much. Love how you focus on Stock 17.5 and 13.5 too. Never stop what you’re doing bro!
Love Milwaukee tools!
That set bro🔥🔥🔥
I love you’r videos! They are super awsome!
Telling us all that info! Thanks!
Definitely my MIP drivers. Basically the Snap On Tools of rc
Love to hear your go pro knowledge for Rc and Moto!
You can’t forget to mention the sanding stick along with the tire drill
ur a sanding stick
The only person that is going to picking on hunter is me Ryan! Lol
The dewalt screwdriver is really the best. The gyro controls are amazing. Super fine control over speed. Twist in, twist out. It's great. If you're not tied in by shared batteries you should check it out. (Make sure you get the one with the clutch.)
the makita one is really good too (8v)
i love the humidor in the background!! a nice relaxing cigar is a wonderful treat now and then... love the videos! keep the great content coming!
I dig the AJ Catanzaro shirt!🤘🏼
That M4 style electric screwdriver Milwaukee has had for-ever!!!! Had one at my first dealership job in 94. Old nicad or nimh I can’t remember but yeah. I opted for the M12 drill driver 2401-20 because I have a pile of m12 batteries.
Dremel Rotory is also essential to cut and modify part's! And for cleaning!
It was pretty Cool I got to meet Jason Snyder this weekend at the LSR Ice Breaker race is Sac this last weekend..
I’ve been using Milwaukee m12 drill and impact for going on ten years. Its built multiple baja 5bs and a couple fences. Love mine I found 18v to powerful for rc.
great video
Just picked up a Biesner desk lamp for my Yokomo YZ2 build, great idea but Harris making me spend money here!
TGH rod end installer is a must!!! A GoPro video would be great!!
Dewalt gyroscopic screwdriver with clutch.this tool is super cool
Love Milwaukee gear! And definitely do a GoPro video!! 👍👍😃
i like the humidor!!!
Electric screw drivers are great!
I use Makita tools for my job. I started to get back in to RC after a 20 year break. I decided to use only Milwaukee tools for my RC hobby. I use the 4 in 1 12v drill driver for my RC needs.
I also will use a Milwaukee Packout for each vehicle that I have and each Packout will have itsʻ own shallow organizer for vehicle specific parts.
Yep definitely interested in what you have to share about the GoPro
Yes, do a video on the gopro setup and what you do in post, that'd be great!
Yes for the gopro video
Dude. MIP drivers FTW, and +1,000,000 on Milwaukee gear!
A GoPro video would be awesome. Cool new RC room... A room tour would be awesome too. Keep up the good work your awesome!!!
Someone moved to Sony!!! Looks sharp!!!
Reluctantly but I did it haha They have the video game on lock right now
Have you seen the Sony FX-3
Awesome videos and knowledge! Would love a video on go pro settings, thanks Ryan
Yes! For the Gopro vid.
Yes, do a vid on the go pro set up please
A video on the gopro techniques and settings would be awesome!
Mr Harris - after seeing the GoPro demo I used my gopro10 and it's amazing, granted a bit awkward as it's bigger than the 8 but it's so nice seeing where I need to improve and can't get over the POV. Mine has WIFI though so it's great setting record and stop via the phone app :)
Fav tool would probably be my AKA wheel wrench that has multi size for the wheel nuts/shock tower nuts.
Honourable mentions, Wella soldering iron from my father in law that's probably from the early 80s and Hudy 2mm driver!
Hi Ryan, Great sharing and I suggested gentle brushes and a chargeable blower which is easy to find on the site nowadays. It helps dust off certain areas ie gearing, ball joints..etc , which cannot afford the powerful blow gun on the track. Cheers
Top 6 tool rc racing ✔ i like your video 👍🔧
OLFA Cutting board is excellent for cut stuff
I've got the hudy set up board,
The ottlite twin power pit light,
The Philips adjustable handle screwdriver, same as your milwake one and have around 25 bits I keep in a glasses case, i have hollow tube shape magnets slotted onto my tips to stop losing screws,
I use the postal technic gas powered soldering iron stored in another glasses case
I use the gopro 8 also as well as my session, and hero black 3 plus, get multiple angles
My battery operated dremel is also a must to take racing
Oh and my mac pistol grip 6in pliers
interested in the gopro spects
Yeah would like to see the gopro setup for racing.
I'd like go see the video about the go pro
From a guy who built a 1/8th Nitro buggy kit by hand; Get an electric screwdriver. No excuses!
It will save you a LOT of pain (my forearms hurt for days to the point I could barely work), time and stripped screw heads/threads. Make sure to do the last turn by hand though.
I think another thing that is a great purchase is an entry-level 3d printer. Whether it be shock- or diff-assembly stands, hooks to hang tools, organisers for screws, you name it, they can all be produced for mere cents in terms of material cost.
Great suggestions!
would love to learn about your gopro settings
No here to start a fight, I use Makita, you can use whatever brand you like, but everything stated by Ryan in this video, I agree with.
Subscribed.
Good video. For people that actually use cordless tools everyday, Milwaukee is by far the most popular choice.
Go pro videos would be nice... and more drive techniques videos!
I use the metabo HPT (Hitashi) comes with 2 batteries and a charger works awesome and I’m a person who is a sucker for Milwaukee on my real cars..
...and, love your technical aspect to your vids. It satisfies my OCD approach to r/c/:)
How about, a vid going through your Sanwa radios, and the settings you use, with a technical explanation, including practical examples of parameter used, and the what, why, when, and how you use things like D/R, EXP, Ch mixing, ALB, Racing modes, etc.
And the Low-Fi soundtracks are killer.
Hey Ryan, is there a chance you could say what allen tips you use for the screwdriver?
Best 2 suggestions are the electric screwdriver and the pit lamp. There is NEVER enough light in your pit. If you go the screwdriver route you need to get some bits. HUDY makes some good ones.
It would be cool to see a video on the GoPro video settings, I really
like that idea
Yes, please do a video on your GoPro editing. I recently dust off my old Hero+ GoPro. One reason I put it on the backburner was because I had zooming issues. Everything was so far away when it came to track footage. Thanks!
Really interested in learning about the settings you use on the GoPro and how u edit the video thanks
New rc room? I ask because it looks dope
Fresh setup! I was itching for a fresh vibe
@@RyanHarrisRC i like it i wish my setup looked like that
Hey Ryan, I would like to hear about your GoPro settings
Yep that’s cool
How you recorded and why the settings also how to setup your transmitter
A diff scale. It makes the outcome of your diff rebuilds that much more consistent.
Great video. Can you please tell me who paints your bodies?
GoPro info would be awesome.
Yes full settings on the GoPro
I'd like to see a GoPro settings/post video!
great setup ryan! Please do a Gopro Video. Greets from Germany!
For us older folks with not so good vision, I use a magnifier similar to what jewelers use when i need to solder an ESC and motor, it helps me ensure the solder joints are good.
Go pro video!
Another great video. I agree with the screwdriver. I have the Metabo and hands down one of the best things I have gotten.
If you could make a video on the go pro setting that would be great.. Definitely something I personally would like to do. Do you have a suggestion for something other than a Gopro?
Keep up the great work and amazing videos.
I'm a Milwaukee guy as well - but the one area I go yellow is the gyroscopic screwdriver. That feature is game changing, and it's also cheaper (which means it probably won't last as long - but oh well)
Another up vote for a GoPro how to video.
I'd like to see a video on gopro settings and editing.
Can you do a quick vid on the gopro settings you use. thanks!!!
while i like those small Milwaukee or Makita screwdriver/drills, I found the Dremel offering a bit better to pack and haul around. No need to fuss with a removable battery and charging base. Great video Ryan. Might put together a video of my own. Also, also...new filming setup is dare i say...DIALED!!!!
Hey Ryan, you want to take that soldering iron to an even higher level, get the TS-C4 tip. It has a higher thermal mass and will speed up soldering even more.
I bring my cars around in the packouts rather than those bags, Milwaukees super handy like that and I just building my stack, puttin gall my airbrush stuff in one of the half size kits too. Packout all the way!
I think it would be cool to see a quick edit on what you bring to the track
Hi Ryan!
Please make one testing video whit TS100 soldering iron!
Many thanks!
I’d like to see something on your travel gear. What do you use to transport everything
Hey Ryan they have a m12 version I have been use one for 7 or so years get the brushed version but I don't know if they make a brushless if they do it might be to powerful
Ryan, These days fortunately a few tracks have mains power but for the ones that don't you (obviously) need to bring your own power supply. Suitcase petrol generators are used a lot as well as leisure lead acid batteries but the former are quite noisy and the latter heavy. I wondered if bringing a portable power station is something which is a creditable option bearing in mind how light they. Do you have any thought please?
please post that video on your post production process, I know there are a ton of people who would love to use the go pro as a tuning tool!
One major thing that I would like to add to the list (specifically for nitro racing) is a pit caddy. The bags that people put their starter box and tools in is a pain. It way nicer to have a caddy that holds the starter box with car on it, fuel bottle, glow igniter, and tools all in one. I used the RC Trackstar one.
I have linked it below:
hobbyking.com/en_us/trackstar-universal-pit-buddy-for-1-10-or-1-8-nitro-chassis.html
Helpful vid. Was thinking of picking up the hat clip although I don't wear strap backs and couldn't tell if yours is able to clip onto the back of a fitted while wearing the hat backwards(don't like the clip that mounts to the bill of a hat plus I generally wear them backwards while running. Ide really like to see what settings you use on your gopro 8 black as I only picked one up a few months back but have yet to use it much, although when I did use it I'm sure the settings were tgevreason for why I was not feeling the footage regardless if I was close to my rig or it was far away I just couldn't get the clarity and whatever term is used for describing the "zoom" when shooting both close and from afar using the GPS GP8black. Would def be appreciative if able to take the time to share your camera setup for sure. Thanks man
I have the clip for my GP8 and yes, it does work with fitted hats! I don't like snap backs either. I prefer to use the headstrap most of the time though, because the weight of the camera is a but much and not quite as comfortable when filming for 30 minutes or more. Both can work well, but I prefer the head strap mount, on top of my hat, turned backwards for filming. Hope that helps!
Please do a video on GoPro settings!!! That would help me out a lot 😅
