    After cleaning out the water matrix and the other parts I spent two days trying to find out why it was emptying as quick as it was filling this video sorted it out. I couldn't believe how much crud was in the pipe from the filler to the sump. Thanks a million. XXXXXXX

    Geweldig goede uitleg. Met succes gevolgd. Aanvulling volgens eigen ervaring.

    Thanks Ernie.
    This fixed my 15 old Siemens se50t590 machine. The washing cycle was running but without any water inside. So all symptoms were pointing to the water inlet or rather water supply circuit coming in than out anyways. But no, cleaning that same outgoing tube with a thin brush was enough to get water flowing into the machine again.
    I was not far from giving up, so thank again for your great video.
    For info, before this problem occurred, the machine was already intermittently showing a drying problem at the end of the cycle with the display stuck at "final rinse 1 min left" and not going into the final drying stage. I am hoping this was a consequence of not having enough water to trigger the drying phase (rather than a defect of thr heating element) . Time will tell.
    I have now done one full cycle, the machine filled up with water normally and dried fine. Cheers.

    Ernie, you are a legend!!
    After being pointed at the inlet valve by so many people I took your advice and whipped the side off my machine and it looked exactly like yours. I did the same fix as you and now it's working like a dream. Thank you very much for posting this video.

    Thank You ever so much! I just fixed my Bosch SGU 4XXX with this. I thought it would be the diaphragm that was broken. It is not obvious to se the inlet hole inside of the washer, but it is a 10-15 mm large one positioned towards the door! It is super easy. I used a 40 cm long electrical wire (2,5 mm2) took of insulation 50 mm and bent the 5-6 strains backwards as a hook. That way it went in easy and took the dirt on the way back.
    Again, thank you Ernie!

    I just fixed my Bosch dishwasher. Problem was stuck float in Water Level Control Assembly.
    This keep the pump constantly running. Hard water/calcium deposits pretty much caked up stopping float.
    I went a few steps further and took apart whole assembly and descaled parts and float with CLR cleaner and brushes.
    Cleaned Styrofoam float on bottom and all moving parts. (Red push-rod and other parts).
    Works as good as new now.
    Thanks for video.

    Great video! I had a similar problem with a newer Philco that is very like the Bosch brand.
    I disassembled the outlet pump, the salt deposit and the laberinth of inlet- outlet water and cleaned everything thoroughly.

      @Ernie-Tech  4 года назад +1

      Thanks for giving some feedback. I did not know people hate that kind of text-scrollers, you're not the first disliking that part, but unfortunately YT does not let you upload an update of the same vid, or you need to restart and loose all your comments. That is a real drawback of using YT. How difficult can it be to simply overwrite your vid with a new version, but no.

    Exactly the same problem on my Siemens machine. I removed the assembly for cleaning as well. Thanks for the vid.

  • @superxispa
    @superxispa 6 лет назад +1

    I had the same problem, the water came in and out all the time.
    In my case it was the caudalimeter or rough paddle that was seized by lime. With which I did not give the order to the electro valve to stop the filling and start the washing. I blew it several times and it worked again

  • @sedrickgates1
    @sedrickgates1 4 года назад +1

    Just found your video.
    You would save time by just removing the water tank/intake then pop-out the floater box out.
    It can be easily taken appart and cleaned to "as new" level :-)
    I do this for the last 15 years as I have had 2 Bosch of almost the same type.
    I also kept the parts from the old one to revive the actual one :-)
    Nevertheless, clever way of doing it but you really don't need to go that complicated ;-)

      Thanks for sharing that info here Cédric, I simply did not know, nor did I have any documentation that pointed in that approach. So I chose for the simplest and most direct solution, the brushwire and thought it worked pretty well enough to display that here. Hardly anything needs to come apart.

    Beste Ernie, in mijn afwasmachine Miel exclusive stroomt geen water in dus hij wast niet af en er brandt een oranje lichtje bij de start knop. Graag uw idee wat dat kan zijn. Bij voorbaat vriendelijke dank.

      Hoi Ken, meestal is dat "alleen maar" het inlaatventiel, die gaan wel vaker stuk. Het is alleen zonde van je tijd/geld als dat niet de oorzaak is, dus moet je eigenlijk eerst even met een multimeter controleren of er door de vaatwasser wel 230vac op het inlaatventiel wordt gezet, na het starten. Zo niet, moet je het in de elektra/elektronica zoeken die het inlaatventiel aanstuurt. Hoop dat je daar technisch genoeg voor bent om dat eerst te onderzoeken, anders moet je er toch iemand bij halen. Zorg in ieder geval dat je je vaatwasser aangesloten hebt op een groep met een aardlekschakelaar, zodat je zelf tijdens het meten aan je inlaatventiel, of waar dan ook in je vaatwasser, op z'n minst daardoor beschermd bent. Succes

    Before i throw it off the twelve floor: how the heck you get it to pump with the door open????

    • @Ernie-Tech
      @Ernie-Tech  6 месяцев назад

      Good question, it can't be too difficult. There must be simple way to either trick the door switch or by-pass it. Sorry I completely overlooked this issue when making the video. Therefor I conclude it can't be too difficult cause if it were, I would have noticed to add in the vid. I do not possess this dishwasher anymore, so can't look it up, but did find a REPAIR MANUAL, SEE NEW TEXT BELOW VID

    I found the water management flows very helpful. i could not quite see where the wire went in...i tried on mine but failed

    • @Ernie-Tech
      @Ernie-Tech  6 лет назад +1

      That's too bad Paul, you can't see it from within the machine, you'll need to guide the rigid cleaningwire by hand and feel where it needs to go. Finally once in the tube you'll see it appear through the semi-transparant pipe on the left side, as shown in the video. Maybe a little mirror and a torch might help you look "around the corner" on the inside of the machine! Good luck

    Beste Ernie, ik heb alles gedaan wat jij laat zien maar zonder resultaat. Mijn Bosch vaatwasselijft op 1 min hangen. Zodra ik het klep open bv na een wasprogramma staat nog 1 min op en ik zie ook geen hete lucht uit komen of het water is ook niet warm. Heb je enig idee wat dit zou kunnen zijn. Alvast bedankt

    • @Ernie-Tech
      @Ernie-Tech  4 года назад +1

      Nee, geen idee, maar dat de hele machine niet warm wordt, suggereert wel dat er iets met het verwarmingselement is. Hoewel ik dan zou verwachten dat ie wel met een 'fatsoenlijke' foutmelding zou komen ipv koud verder te gaan. Hij moet ook wachten tot het water warm genoeg is, voordat ie verder mag met z'n programma. Daar klopt dus iets niet.
      Ik ben geen expert, wellicht beter met een service center contact op te nemen of verder te zoeken naar een forum op dit gebied. Succes!

    Thanks a lot for posting this, Ernie!
    In my case, while the door is shut, no program has started yet, it keeps filling and emptying water forever. It seems that it is stuck in a loop. Resetting does not help.. ends-up in the same loop.
    Starting a program does not help either.. it does a wash cycle but does not heat up the water..
    Could the water inlet valve be behind all of this?

    • @Ernie-Tech
      @Ernie-Tech  Год назад

      yep, it looks like the water inlet valve spring is broken or the valve leaking (latter is most likely) or stuck. Replacing it, in general is not complicated, but for this machine (which I no longer posess) I can't tell you if it is difficult or not. Knowing Bosch spares are easy to get and repairs like this, depending on your skill level and tools, not too complicated. Before ordering any parts, try to find the electro-magnetic valve, detache its wires (or just one), isolate the detached connectors and see what the machine does. If the same, it defenitely is the inlet valve. Good luck!

    • @Ernie-Tech
      @Ernie-Tech  Год назад

      Sorry Abdo, I just realised the inletvalve is not in the machine but on the water tap connection itself. It sits in that block which forms one piece with the hose. I replaced the whole thing on another Bosch machine, not too complicated but expensive :-( So taking it apart, to do a test by interrupting the electricity to the electricmagnetic valve, is often not so easy. It means you'll have to find the right wires in the bundle comming from that waterinlet combination in the machine and disconnect them there. Then put the water pressure and electricity on again and listen/see what happens. If no water flows, the inletvalve is still okay and then it means it is opened when not yet needed. Could be the driving circuitry to the valve, could be other electronics. Can't tell from here.

    Hallo Ernie,
    In your case , does the dishwasher keep filling and pomping water away?
    In mine case yes, even the door is open. As soon switch the main power button on it starts to fill and pomp.
    Mag ik je ook beklen voor advies,
    Grt,
    Jim

    • @Ernie-Tech
      @Ernie-Tech  4 года назад +1

      Jim, it should be without power if the door opens, so that is one switch you can repair :-)
      Indeed once started it would fill-pump-fill-pump but not forever, because once the flowcounter measures a certain amount of water taken in, it will start doing its normal program but without enough water! So dishes would stay dirty.

      dankjwel, maar dat iedereen zo valt over die scrollende tekst snap ik helemaal niet. Ik snap YT ook niet, dat ik niet een verbeterde versie video op dezelfde plek mag uploaden. Dan had ik die verbetering direct doorgevoerd, want ik wist niet dat iedereen daar zó over struikelt! Nee, ik heb t wel afgeleerd na dit videootje, maar zelf vond ik het reuze handig : ik kan een heel verhaal kwijt aan tekst terwijl je ook naar de video kunt kijken. Tja vanuit video-editing-standpunt gezien, bespaart dat veel tijd!

    How did you get your wire pipe cleaner past the impeller?

    • @Ernie-Tech
      @Ernie-Tech  3 года назад

      I did not clean that part. I guess it doesn't get dirty so easily with the pressure from the impeller. The pipe that I cleaned now, gets water gravity fed from the labyrinth, therefor the smallest amount of dirt becomes easily a blockage.

    My friend in my case, the dishwasher starts washing taking water normally then after 1 cycle or 2 an indication of no water appears although there is no water problem exists. I have checked the tap water connection thoroughly. Mine is Bosh make. Can you pls suggest what to do?

    • @Ernie-Tech
      @Ernie-Tech  4 года назад

      "indication of no water" seems you're talking about another dishwasher then this model? If it isn't it's hard for me to say, but in general dishwashers fail oftern (like here) because of dirt building up in the tubes. So I'd recommend you to take it apart and systematicly check and/or clean all tubes, reservoirs, sensors etc. Good luck!

    • @Ernie-Tech
      @Ernie-Tech  7 лет назад

      Hello Adam, that's probably because your quality setting is lower than 240p. Click in the bottom right on the toothwheel and choose for 240 or better 360p. If it was on 'automatic' your internetconnection is too slow, therefor your player in your browser deminishes the quality in order to still let it run. Have a go at it, I'm sure you'll see improvement! Thanks for letting me know.
