  • Bosch Dishwasher not Draining Water.
    If your Bosch Dishwasher is full of water I will show you the steps to try and fix a Bosch Dishwasher that won't drain water. If your Bosch Dishwasher has standing water in it then there must be a blockage, I'll help you try to fix the Bosch Dishwasher drainage problem.
    I will show you how to check the Bosch Dishwasher filter and Drainage hose pipework. We will also run a Bosch Dishwashing Cleaning programme.
    This is on a Bosch Dishwasher but the same steps can be used on other Dishwashers.
    Hope you get it sorted. If you still have problems and the Bosch Dishwasher is not draining water properly then it's time to call a Dishwasher technician as the Dishwasher pump may have failed.

    I have a Bosch. I tried cleaning the filter the tub etc. Nothing worked. Finally I removed the access cover to the impeller that is under the filter, had to remove one torx screw on my model, impeller seemed fine but I made a paste of baking soda and put in in the impeller area, very thick , poured in some vinegar, watched the show, then put it back together and it worked. Saved me a bunch of money.

      Squeeze it and run lots of empty dishwasher programmes to try to clear it. Maybe try a coat hanger wire inside up and down to try to clear any gunge

    Helpful vid, thanks!
    Worth pointing out that the white plastic gaurd piece in front of the impeller must click back in properly. It looks like it just rests in the groove, but if you leave it like that then it'll float up, then get sucked in during the drain program and the motor will make strange noises.
    Worse still, it tends to sink back into the groove so you don't even know it's not properly clicked in and might just assume your motor is knackered!

      Will either be a blocked drainage hose \ U bend so make sure that’s not full of sludge. Or possibly the pump is faulty. First thing a Dishwasher should do is drain any water inside before it starts so start it empty with the water in then see if you can hear it draining or feel it on the pipework. Hope you get it sorted

    Perfect tutorial, was able to follow it despite being pretty much the opposite of a handyman. Unfortunately couldn't find anything in the filter, the impeller, the pipe or the u-bend so looks like I'll having to get someone in anyway. Dishwasher is less than a year old! :(

      Oh dear that’s not good, if it’s under a year then should be fixed under guarantee.

    I have opened that grey filter so many times, i never knew the white piece was down there. I opened it and had 3 lemon seeds.
    Now i got it running at 70°. Hope it fixes it and i wouldnt have to open the pipes at the back

    Great video, it sorted my problem the first time. Now though I often have a situation where the dishwasher doesn't start at all, ir stops halfway showing E25. Leaving overnight with citric acid or causic soda usually works but only temporarily. What could it be?

    • @LurgsHowToGuides
      @LurgsHowToGuides  6 часов назад

      Unfortunately sounds like the pump could be faulty. Depends how old the dishwasher is on whether you try a repair or get a new one. Good luck

    Hi there Lurgs!
    You definitely earned yourself a new like and sub for this video. My dishwasher suddenly stopped draining water. Of course, I wasn't there to see how it happened, so I am left picking up the pieces of a disjointed story. TLDR: DW didn't drain, filter and trap were pulled and relatively clean, watched your vid, found out about impeller, there was some gunk down there, cleaned out, DW works!
    I thought initially bad water pump which is around $50-$60 for the part, and if you call in a service person, $160 to walk in the door and say hello.

      @@LurgsHowToGuides I won the lottery by getting the DW working again. That's about the extent of my luck. But, if I ever do run into a massive unexpected revenue stream, I'll be sure to pay back the people that have helped me along the way.

    G'day from Australia. Thanks for the video mate. I have a Bosch Series 6, but question please: what is that sump/filter looking thing to the left of the filter? Is that the salt dispenser for hard-water areas? I took the lid off mine and it's also full of water. What can I do there please? Thanks again.

    • @LurgsHowToGuides
      @LurgsHowToGuides  10 месяцев назад +1

      Yes that’s the Salt reservoir. You may not need salt with your water but check local conditions.
