    Thank you! You just helped me to fix my dishwasher. Tiny metal piece got stock in the umbrella, you won’t see it unless you drain the water and try to spin it, and it was only spinning one way, I asked why, then started examining it, and saw the small metal item, it was thin and sharp, once I pulled it out, the umbrella was spinning freely both ways, then I started the machine and it worked beautifully! Bingo! Thank you for your video!!!❤

After using it for 18 months (and I don't know how it was maintained by previous owner), I was shocked that the filter had no debris on it. I filled the salt container at the same time. Nice video. Instead of using a sponge tor remove water from the drain (3:05), take advantage of the dishwasher's water draiinging feature that starts at the beginning of the risne (or anhy other) cycle. Just close the dishwasher, select a cycle, start the dishwasher, and open the door once you hear the water stop draining. Then turn the dishwasher off. Done! Also makes it easier to clean the drain of remaining sludge in the drain. You might also decide to drain, remove sludge, pour some more water in the drain, and repeat the drain cycle above.

    This was such a good & clear & concise step-by-step (and humorous) video. Followed every step. Didn't solve my problem (not my drainage pipes either - those are all clear too), but who knew about that little propeller thingy stuck down at the back of the filter?! Now the blo*dy thing is showroom clean, it's gotta be a technical problem, and it's not even a year old! I hate high tech computery gadgets (Bosch Series 4) - somehow they all just end up blinking and passively swearing at me! Thank you so much for putting this together. Much appreciated. Will go check out some of your other videos a bit later.

      Glad you enjoyed. Odd it's not draining when it's so new, very annoying. If it's under a year use the warranty.

      @@LurgsHowToGuides I ended up dismantling & checking the micro-filter on the water supply hose too - the bit that attaches to my water supply. Both mini filters were squeaky clean too, so no blockage there either. However when I put everything back and plugged the machine back in after having turned the electricity off, the Bi*ch decided to work. I've run it twice now with both fingers and legs crossed. I'm wondering if it was a "computer glitch" and literally the ol' "turning it off, turning it on technique" (from the mains) solved the hang-up? It certainly wasn't dirt.
      (For anyone interested: My problem: 10 minutes into the rinse cycle after switching it on, the machine would stop, the digital time display would blink 00:00 and the red "tap" icon would light up, and the machine remained still with water in the bottom. If I switched off and tried again, the water would drain out, the rinse would start, and then stop at 10 minutes. So I knew the drainage worked, and water was flowing in to the machine, therefore pumps must be o.k. so it's all a complete mystery as to why - still! I can only think electronics.)

    Concise and humorous, nicely done, but... When cleaning the spray arms, you (and I) are just knocking the food back into the inner spray arm and it will soon be blocking the holes again. Any way around that?

      @@LurgsHowToGuides mine came with a rly large separate filter like 3 inch big filter alone, that is connected with the ‘simple hose’. And i came to know that the larger one is a solenoid valve. It opens and closes water flow digitally controlled by dishwasher. In the models that come with just a simple hose, in those this is placed inside the dishwasher where the hose ends.

    Dear Sir, Regarding the upper impeller. I have a Bosch Silence Plus 48 dBA the upper impeller is not freely spinning, it's almost as if the retaining screw is too forcing the impeller to be too close to the rack. Do you know what I'm supposed to do?

    • @LurgsHowToGuides
      @LurgsHowToGuides  Год назад

      It should spin very freely. Remove it and reinstall, the nut should lock easily and allow it to spin. Maybe it’s twisted

    Our dishwasher has gotten like a red film covering the dishwasher, I'm assuming it's some Passata sauce or something but it's tinted all of the plastic red, is there anything that could be suggested to clean this? I've done a proper machine clean etc

    My machine is the exact model. I've cleaned all you covered in this video EXCEPT that picture of a filter and I've run dish washer cleaner idk how many times now. The machine is still not cleaning and leaves "grit" and white film on my dishes. The worst is plastics. What else can I do ?

    • @LurgsHowToGuides
      @LurgsHowToGuides  3 года назад +1

      Maybe it’s the salt dispenser mixing too much salt. You can adjust the salt (I’ve got a video how to adjust water hardness level on this Dishwasher).

    When you remove the filter assembly there is a plastic sieve thing behind it held in place with a couple of tork screws. On my machine lots of debris accumulates below that. I removed the screws lifted it a bit and manually cleaned below it. The piece is held down by the spray duct. Can that be easily removed?

    Hi, I have Bosch IQ300 built in dishwasher. Recently it has started giving problem. It start and stops 3 times with gurgling sound as it discharged the water and it then completely stops.when I open the door the top panel shows BRUSH sign. After resetting and starting again same thing happens again. However, if I put it in pans program, it works. So, it does not look like that there is any blockage in the drainage pipe. The filter is clear and we do run it with finish cleaner regularly.
    The dishwasher drainage pipe is connected to sink drainage section. Sink water runs fine.
    I don’t want to call the engineer and pay £120 plus parts as I would rather buy a new one with 5 years warranty for £500.
    Please advise what could be going wrong?

    • @dipakmodha7110
      @dipakmodha7110 Год назад

      Just to add, if the rinse aid has run out, could it cause this issue?

    • @LurgsHowToGuides
      @LurgsHowToGuides  Год назад

      No as you can run it without Rinse Aid. Unfortunately it sounds like possibly a computer type fault. If it’s pretty old you will have to weigh up cost of possible repair and it could fail again or getting a new one

    • @dipakmodha7110
      @dipakmodha7110 Год назад

      Thank you. The dishwasher is now 6 years old. if the control panel is faulty than part and Labour may cost more than half the cost of new. Also, another unrelated problem with parts will cost more again to repair.
      Therefore, it will make sense to buy new with 5 years guarantee.
      I would prefer DW which displays the ERROR CODE. any recommendations up to £600?

    What's the point of a dishwasher cleaner if you are using detergent which cleans dishes inside of it? Wouldn't that same detergent clean your dishwasher? I mean I get that certain sized foot particles will clog things and that needs cleaning, but outside of that what does a dishwasher cleaner do that dishwasher detergent does not? If it's just about the smell wouldn't like throwing some lemon juice and hot water do the same thing or white vinegar or diluted bleach?
