She was emotionally so far removed from the baby and IMO this caused her to dehumanize the infant. The end result? She was able to detach and put the child in the dirt. Putting the pot plant holder on top was IMO the final act of making the “problem” disappear.

These text messages turn my stomach. Imagine if your biggest goal for your child is for them to be skinny. I can only imagine the kind of mother she has been. I went into this trial with an open mind but the longer it goes on, the harder it is to believe that she didn’t kill that sweet baby!
I agree. I thought at first ...this is a young scared girl that lost a baby because of stillborn and panicked and didnt know what to do ...still felt it was wrong and sick to my stomach. But when I go backwards in this case....it is so clear she never wanted her daughter. Skylar has no soul.

His speech at sentencing was awesome. For anyone who didn't watch it, he essentially said that he didn't know whether Skylar's actions pre-- or post--delivery killed the baby, but he was sure she was responsible. I think he believes the baby came out stillborn & that Skylar is responsible for the stillbirth.

I wrote the same on the first day! I live in Orlando and followed every moment. I saw Cindy in a store a few weeks later, a smile as broad as the Amazon as she swung her purse in the jewelry section. Someone posted they went to a yard sale, it was the Anthony's, they said they were selling the baby's stuff, she out grew it, when she casually asked why they were selling all the baby stuff. They didn't realize the woman knew who they were.
She reminds me of the cheerleader mom living through her daughter. She only told her daughter she was beautiful/amazing when Skylar was telling her how much she worked out or lost weight.
She is 18 years old. I get it her mother was absolutely horrible. But Skylar still made a choice. She chose to secretly have the baby. Then she chose to squeeze the baby wo she admitted was Making noises(therefore alive) untill it stopped breathing. Then she chose to set the baby on fire.(tried to cremate it). Then chose to burry the baby in a shallow grave. She is obviously very sick in the head. She at some point during or after even chose to name the baby she was in the process or had just killed. She should be in prison for life for what she did. With all that said I know you diddnt say anything about how you feel about her actions so I'm not trying to bash you or anything. Just pointing out that she is what most people consider a grown woman who knows right from wrong.

Planned parenthood was brought up bc she was saying that she could go there to get her birth control but she trusted the dr at hilltop more bc he delivered her babies and bc he was a surgeon (ie more qualified, has more experience). Also birth control pills at that stage in pregnancy does nothing to the fetus. That was already established by the drs from hilltop and the maternal-fetal medicine doctor. Birth control and dulcolax is not an abortion cocktail or you would be having women using this combo all the time. The ducolax was brought up bc both the mother and the daughter use it for diet purposes and the mother was encouraging her daughter to use it so she got skinny enough for the mom to love her. Completely messed up family dynamic but those medications do not cause that sort of injury to a fetus.
I am beginning to believe that the mother wasn't really happy when she got pregnant with Skylar either as she mentions more times than I can count that "getting pregnant will ruin your life and your future" so I see resentment there towards Skylar! JMO

Yes parents and children do text each other... I am texting and sending pics a vid when we are not together... My daughter texts me at school during her breaks...we do phone calls also when we are not together...It just depends on your habits an relationship with your kids. My kids are 25 & 13...

I do think that in some ways Kim tried to treat Skylar like an adult and she was 18 but I think instead of her encouraging and encouraging her to work out she should have encouraged her to lay off a bit and told her that Brandon would think she would look beautiful at her prom just the way she was and that she didn't need to lose any weight. The girl needed encouragement and reassurance that she was perfect just the way she was.

Some overcome it, yet most have the deep-seeded side effects that will limit their ability not to hurt others around them. These text messages turn my stomach. Imagine if your biggest goal for your child is for them to be skinny. I can only imagine the kind of mother she has been. I went into this trial with an open mind but the longer it goes on, the harder it is to believe that she didn’t kill that sweet baby!

I wrote the same on the first day! I live in Orlando and followed every moment. I saw Cindy in a store a few weeks later, a smile as broad as the Amazon as she swung her purse in the jewelry section. They didn't realize the woman knew who they were.

Then she chose to squeeze the baby wo she admitted was Making noises(therefore alive) untill it stopped breathing. Then she chose to set the baby on fire.(tried to cremate it). Then chose to burry the baby in a shallow grave. She is obviously very sick in the head. She at some point during or after even chose to name the baby she was in the process or had just killed. She should be in prison for life for what she did. With all that said I know you diddnt say anything about how you feel about her actions so I'm not trying to bash you or anything. Just pointing out that she is what most people consider a grown woman who knows right from wrong.

Planned parenthood was brought up bc she was saying that she could go there to get her birth control but she trusted the dr at hilltop more bc he delivered her babies and bc he was a surgeon (ie more qualified, has more experience). Also birth control pills at that stage in pregnancy does nothing to the fetus. That was already established by the drs from hilltop and the maternal-fetal medicine doctor. Birth control and dulcolax is not an abortion cocktail or you would be having women using this combo all the time. The ducolax was brought up bc both the mother and the daughter use it for diet purposes and the mother was encouraging her daughter to use it so she got skinny enough for the mom to love her. Completely messed up family dynamic but those medications do not cause that sort of injury to a fetus.

She also talks about how she trusts her dr bc he has been a dr for years and is also a surgeon, saying she trusts him more than she would a dr at planned parenthood. The mother has put it in her head that Skylar has to look a certain way and be a certain size “to benefit everyone around me”. This breaks my heart.
She could not be prouder that her daughter was going to weigh herself every week. It just gets worse and worse.
This mother daughter relationship is so twisted, I'm in a loss for words. How can a mother, knowing your teenaged daughter has been struggling with an eating disorder for years, cheer her on and encourage her to loose weight? She must have known how dangerous this is, an eating disorder is a serious mental illness! This is just sick and contradicts the Dad's testimony who said they tried everything to help their daughter get help? No wonder she felt like she couldn't tell anyone about her pregnancy. Looks like the family members in general had their secrets and withheld important information and didn't communicate properly. And now a baby is dead, their daughter's life is screwed, their private business in the open and their reputation stained. Ironically the very thing that they tried to make look perfect in public.
This is a textbook case of Narcissitic Personality Disorder (same cluster as psychopaths). These individuals do irreparable harm to anyone around them emotionally. They are incapable of forming attachments, lack empathy, and are shallow robots with emotional maturity arrested in the toddler stage. Actual facts. I wish I could warn society not to allow these monsters to procreate or date/marry. They are parasitic and dangerous.

Had her mother not pushed her to go to the doctor skylar wouldn't be n trouble now. I say that because skylar would have disposed of the baby anyway but the doctor told on her.
Agree ! The only reason she was caught is because the doctor called her out on it. She has been manipulating and fooling everyone.

If my daughter is that focused on her looks and that vein... I've failed as a mother. ..even more so for not confronting and helping her work through an extremely unhealthy thought pattern and eating disorder?! Not only that but encourage her like that in those messages?? The whole thing is twisted on so many different levels it's rediclous...

My daughter is 10 and overweight and I don’t speak to her like this! I encourage her by going on walks and bike rides together. I would never advise her to take laxatives or starve herself! This makes me sad!
Skyler and her mom should have been tried together her mother played a major role in this whole scenario and is just as guilty if you ask me
So the mother receives an email saying that the girl is pregnant, her daughter has indeed a big stomach but not necessarily any other fat in the body... and the mother cannot jump to conclusions? Does she believe her daughter that it was all a mistake FROM A DOCTOR'S OFFICE? If it is the same doctor as hers, cannot the mother go visit the doctor and look for clues on the matter? The mother just wanted to look away about the whole matter. Absolutely irresponsible, and now she's paying for it.

The texts were so sad to hear. I do think that in some ways Kim tried to treat Skylar like an adult and she was 18 but I think instead of her encouraging and encouraging her to work out she should have encouraged her to lay off a bit and told her that Brandon would think she would look beautiful at her prom just the way she was and that she didn't need to lose any weight. The girl needed encouragement and reassurance that she was perfect just the way she was.

Considering the text an images were cherry-picked verse having all the texts and photo lead me to believe the mother and daughter only had a text conversation about Skylar's weight and working out.
I assure you, they did. Mom has a special personality disorder, that's typical. Narcissists only like to talk about very limited subjects repetitively. They are shallow and empty, unable to bond, empathize, or love.
@@synaesthesia4183 I suspect the mom being an IP. They do not make good friends, parents, partners but not always the case. Traumatic childhood abuse has long last effect. Some overcome it, yet most have the deep-seeded side effects that will limit their ability not to hurt others around them. I did also hear in the trial there was a LOT more communication that was not allowed in trial. The defense remarked on the large amount of communication not available a few times... I do hope it's not too late for Skylar get the help she needs to overcome this and become a great human being. The mother, however, may never change. The mother targeted Skylar and this will more than likely will never change...
Is Skylar being held in jail while this trial happens, or is she allowed home each night ?
