    -
    Rabindranath Tagore (a.k.a Kabiguru) was a Bengali poet, writer, composer, philosopher and painter who reshaped Bengali literature and music, as well as Indian art in the 19th century.
    -
    Full Poem (English Translation):
    Where the mind Is without fear
    and the head is held high;
    Where knowledge is free;
    Where the world has not been
    broken up into fragments
    by narrow domestic walls;
    Where words come out
    from the depth of truth;
    Where tireless striving stretches
    its arms towards perfection;
    Where the clear stream
    of reason has not lost its way
    into the dreary desert sand
    of dead habit;
    Where the mind is
    led forward by thee
    Into ever-widening
    thought and action
    Into that heaven of freedom,
    my Father,
    let my country awake.
    -
    Full Poem Original (Bengali):
    চিত্ত যেথা ভয়শূন্য, উচ্চ যেথা শির
    জ্ঞান যেথা মুক্ত, যেথা গৃহের প্রাচীর,
    আপন প্রাঙ্গণতলে দিবসশর্বরী
    বসুধারে রাখে নাই খণ্ড ক্ষুদ্র করি,
    যেথা বাক্য হৃদয়ের উৎসমুখ হতে
    উচ্ছ্বসিয়া উঠে, যেথা নির্বারিত স্রোতে
    দেশে দেশে দিশে দিশে কর্মধারা ধায়
    অজস্র সহস্রবিধ চরিতার্থতায়,
    যেথা তুচ্ছ আচারের মরুবালুরাশি
    বিচারের স্রোতঃপথ ফেলে নাই গ্রাসি,
    পৌরুষেরে করে নি শতধা, নিত্য যেথা
    তুমি সর্ব কর্ম চিন্তা আনন্দের নেতা,
    নিজ হস্তে নির্দয় আঘাত করি, পিতঃ;
    ভারতেরে সেই স্বর্গে করো জাগরিত৷

    I can't help but feel proud to be a Bengali. Kaviguru( the master of all poets a title conferred to him by the people of Bengal) Ravindranath Tagore is a light that shines through the decades into the hearts of many many Bengalis. And people around the world for that matter. He was a Bengali after all but off course he was a global citizen. A man whose compassion and unparalleled insight into the human condition could not be confined to man made borders. I am not even a millionth of what he is but here I steal the chance of proclaiming the fact that I belong to the same community that he was born into. A Bengali. Thanks from the depth of my heart for publishing his work.

    Where the shadows ripple,
    Where the snaky snake of a path
    Where the path winds around the trunks,
    And above her the bamboo
    Waving a hundred green hands,
    And the coolness of half a darkness,
    And silence all around
    There at dawn and in the evening,
    Passing through the shady groves,
    The women gather at the wharf,
    And the children till dark
    And children launch their rafts on the water.

    Between you and me

    I have a play I wrote and it's all in verse. It's called All in the Mind. Where I basically personify all my emotions and bring them on to a stage to debate one another.
    I am Passion and I sit with my back to audience centre front stage. The stage has a fence down the middle and my narrator's sit on the fence. My narrator's are called Understanding and Ignorance.
    One side of stage is called Ego Town and it looks like a City. The other side is Soul Field and it is all natural. Ego Towns feelings are...
    Intelligence
    Luxury
    Anxiety
    Fear
    Anger
    Confusion
    Sorrow
    Soul Fields feelings are
    Common Sense
    Simplicity
    Patience
    Hope
    Compassion
    Clarity
    Joy
    The idea is that all feelings have a choice, to return to Passion through Ignorance, by which they all go back exactly the same OR they return through Understanding, where 2 feelings become one .i.e.
    Intelligence + Common Sense = Knowledge
    Luxury + Simplicity = Contentment
    Anxiety + Patience = Virtue
    Hope + Fear = Truth
    Compassion + Anger = Love
    Clarity + Confusion = Wisdom
    Joy + Sorrow = Peace
    It really helped me combat addiction and like I said it's poems from start to finish. I really believe I have a masterpiece here and would love to try and get it out there because the technique is unique and can be so beneficial for Self improvement. And they do say that Self Realization is the greatest service one can render this World. 🙏🧘
