I'm very happy I came across your channel, I like how in depth everything is compare to the BikeBerry video. I had a lot of trouble understanding everything on their how to video, and only found this channel when I was almost completely done. This is one of the hardest projects I've ever done since I had to make a lot of modifications to make the motor fit. Thankyou for sharing, this video really helped me out!

    Very clear AND concise.
I have been using this set of videos to build my VERY FIRST EVER bike.
I have never built one before, and I am still working on it.
I have been taking my time with it and am glad NOT to RUSH IT.
Doing so in this manner INSURES that I do it correctly.
I recommend this dude's videos over ANY OTHERS.

    Very accurate details here.

    These videos --- ROCK.
    VERY informative.
I used every one to put mine together.
It was a BITCH attaching the rear sprocket and had to do it THREE TIMES before I got it right.
I am using a mountain bike so I have no coaster brake.
Mine came from U-MOTO and soon I should be starting it up.
I took my sweet time on this as I was in NO hurry.
Besides, what with winter happening here in Kentucky, I had plenty of time to DO IT RIGHT.
Next week I should be starting it.
I just hope everything is copa-stetic.

Great video! You obviously know what you're doing. That said, I built mine and it ran just fine for about 20 seconds then it bogged down and stalled. I noticed that the fuel line had an air bubble formed above the carb. But there was fuel above the air bubble. If I disconnect the fuel line then the fuel flowed freely. Have you ever heard of anything like this?

so when i come to a stop like at a red light hold the clutch in?, then when i am ready to go just release the clutch and hit the gas? or from a stop i have to pedal first?, could you post a driving instructional video?

    • @urmomsahoe1
      @urmomsahoe1 7 лет назад

Pedal up then release the clutch while giving it gas. If you really have to you can release the clutch sooner while your pedaling to help on hills but that can be hard on your clutch.

I bought the 80/66cc kit from enginesonlineshop.com/2-Stroke-Bicycle-Engine/. First off, it didn't come with instructions! It did have them on the website though and I printed them all, but they are not good instructions, there were numerous steps that left me with doubt. Then I started looking and I found your videos and it didn't hurt that the bike frame is the same style. So I followed your instructions pretty much to the letter and she fired up the very first time, no problems! I did have to come back after a quick run and tighten the chain, but since then, she's been great! I'll repost after a while, but right now I'm loving it! So much fun and thank you for the great instruction! This makes riding a bike so damned much fun!!!

First and foremost great video. I've yet to fire the engine up because I've noticed that I am not able to pedal. Nothing is rubbing against anything, but I do notice that when I force the back wheel to spin it sounds like air is pushing in the engine like it's about to engage. If that makes any sense. I should be able to pedal freely but I can't figure out what is hindering the manual pedal. Thank you.

Hi Eugene, Thx again for the good work and your Lux of details. Im wandering if there is anaway to extend the muffler (1/2" coupling, 1/2" pipe) toward the back just anough to clear the white tire to become dirty & greasy and act as a noise reducer at the same time without having to packed the chamber and loosing HP. Is there a rules of thumb for the configuration of the muffler?

You can extend the pipe and have the muffler in the back. They sell what is called the Poo Poo Pipe which can do that

Hey! I have a slight problem. Everything is installed correctly, I have the 48cc version. The spark plug isn't firing. I'm pretty sure i've wired everything correctly. I've wired: the black wire from the engine, and the black wire from the kill switch to the black wire on the CDI, and the blue wire on the engine, and the yellow/red (Can't remember color) to the blue CDI wire. Could I witch them up? (Let's say theres the black wire on the CDI, and I switch the black wire from the engine and the black wire from the kill switch, or does that not make a difference?)
Theres an other problem: The clutch cover doesn't wanna go back, the flower nut broke, and isn't spinnig back on. Could that be the problem? Or, is the CDI faulty?
    Thanks!

Awesome review Mr. hughes!. I had a quick question about my 80cc two-stroke motor, I recently replaced my piston with the two O-rings because the old one was kind of wore out and after I did that it kind of barely turns over like it has a hard time compressing I’ll get a compression turnover here and there but not as freely as it was when I fisrt got it. Any idea what problem I am incountering?.

My 49cc won't start. has good spark and I've even put a little gas directly into the cyl, no fire at all. I was hoping to actually see the first start here but didn't happen. Did you have to pull it with a vehicle as I've heard suggested? If no, did it really start right up, or was the first start a pain?
Mine has a 1000w front hub as well so I was able to move it along pretty well in trying to start it.

Question, What are the best bikes to put these engines on please?

+peace keeper angel Beach Cruisers are best. I suggest either a vintage bike 1980's and before, a Felt Cruiser or if you are on a budget, the Huffy Cranbrook is fine too

I put rubber inner tube under the tank so it grips better stops it wearing the paint off the frame too
