Hey what's going on guys my name is Alex and welcome back to another video today i'm going to show you How To Increase Fan Speed On Your Laptop

1. Notebook Fan Control: github.com/hirschmann/nbfc/re... (Make sure you're in the latest version and then click in the "Assets" section then click where it says "NoteBookFanControl.X.X.X.setup.exe")
Edit about this software 12/5/2021: If you cannot find your laptop in the list of laptops, then choose what you think it's the closest laptop to yours, if you cannot find the closest laptop to yours then hit me up with a comment in the comments section and i will look for you what's the closest laptop to yours. Do not choose a complete random laptop because the fan speeds will be completely different to what it should be so yeah.

PLEASE READ THIS EVERYONE FOR THE PEOPLE THAT GOT GAMING LAPTOPS AND TELLING ME TO ADD THEIR LAPTOPS: Guys i have to clarify something that many people have told me. Some have been telling me to "add" their laptop in the software/config, if you don't find the laptop in the config section, search for the closest one to yours or if there are no closest laptops to yours, unfortunately i cannot add it nor can help you since i'm not the developer to add it. If the developers add your laptop, then you're in luck but when will the developer update the software? That's unknown, i have no clue.
Also please stop asking what's the closest laptop to yours when your laptop is a GAMING laptop. Gaming laptops have their own software, search for it in Windows (not sure how they call it but sometimes it's called "control center" or something like that idk) if it's not there, then go to your manufacturers website and look for any software to control fan speeds that is compatible with your laptop. Sometimes people really irritate me when they ask what's their closest laptop to theirs when they got a gaming laptop. Guys, you OWN a GAMING laptop, like how the fuck don't you guys know your GAMING laptop? Don't you guys go through what's preinstalled when you buy a gaming laptop? come on guys, it's ridiculous asking me to tell you what's the closest laptop to yours when you literally got a GAMING laptop. That to me screams laziness because you guys probably don't even go through what's preinstalled on your gaming machine and looking for any software that you may find useful. If you call yourself a "gamer" with a "gaming" machine, then fucking act like one. Sorry but this is utter stupid for real. Whoever's reading this, if you comment about what's the closest laptop to yours and you have a gaming laptop, your comment will get deleted, i have clarified everything here. Thank you

Dude my guy is a lifesaver my laptop would none stop overheating after 20 minutes and now its alot better i can play for 5 hours and then it gets to the same heat as it use to thanks man

My question is, if you have a gaming laptop and you wanted to cool yourself by putting the fan at 100% speed, if the laptop had run out of battery, what would you do since you don't have electricity? But still, putting your laptop at 100% speed to cool yourself down, that's a life hack if you don't have anything else to cool yourself and if you don't use the laptop at all

Have you tried uninstalling the software? Because the fan speed may have been stuck or it's not reading the info properly from the laptop itself.

Actually the Built-in mic than my laptop has is bad, change of plan i'll use my mic that i use on my PC it's much better now that i listen my yesterdays video and this one, there is a big difference in the audio quality

Yes it's true, you're welcome. You cannot exit out the program because if you do the program will fully close, if you minimise it though then the program will be in the background
My laptop was literally always on silent mode, running 60°C .. on idle. I changed it to max, and my neighbors love me more than before, thanks.

Hello, what configuration should I use on my computer, it’s a HP Pavilion Gaming laptop 15-cx0009tx. Thank you 🙏🏻
Hmm that's an issue because the laptop "HP Pavilion 14-V066BR" that's in the software and the closest one to yours (i think), that laptop and the other HP Pavilion laptops that's in the software, none of those are gaming laptops and if you choose this laptop or the other ones, then your fan speed may decrease because these laptops are not gaming laptops and yours is.

Oh wow, i haven't looked at this video in so long that it has hit 127,163 views and it's still counting! That's crazy! I was not expecting this video to be a hit but tbh it's quite impossible to change your fan speed on your laptop manually without some kind of software so that's why this video is a hit. Manufacturers should make a software for it's own laptops to change the fan speed easily but i guess they are lazy i don't know but ah well, i hope my video helped you and you are able to change your fan speed! thanks man, my laptop's fan never went above 60 percent in auto,and resulted in over heat.BUt after this i set my fan to around 90 percent and my laptop is much cooler now.. :))))

My notebook is Acer Aspire E5-571G but he is not on the list!
The closest laptop to yours is "Acer Aspire E5-575G"
Works perfectly on acer nitro 5 an515-51 , i5 7300hq 8gb ram and gtx1050 :) . I have chosen the acer predator G3-517 config because there was no nitro 5 cnfig and its working really good . Thank you so much , I have been playing with my thermal throttling cpu for a long itme ,

Hii I have the Lenovo G400s Touch but unfortunately I don't see my device please can you include it or tell me which one to choose.
I have to clarify something, I AM NOT the developer of this software, so don't tell me to "add" your laptop (you are not the only that says "add this" or "are you the dev" etc). Secondly, i don't know how to make a software and if i knew, it would be terrible.Thirdly, if i was the developer, where do you see my name in the website/software? Lastly, i wouldn't be able to add ALL of these laptops that are currently available on the config. Guys i am not the developer, i'm just an adult making a video on how to increase peoples laptop fan speeds, that's all. Not being mad or anything i'm just clarifying this. Thank you

I think the devs put laptops that are very well known so that's why most people don't find their exact laptops in the config

Is there any problem to increase the fan size all the time so that the performance of fans can be slowed down after a couple of months?
Nah not really but if that happens then the fan is not a good quality fan but it won't slow down AFAIK, i may be wrong but it won't slow down after a couple of months

No of course not, it doesn't impact the performance. The software only increases-decreases the fan speed of your laptop
Actually it can help increase performance by delaying thermal throttling so that your laptop doesn't slow down to keep itself cool.

Unfortunately there are no HP Notebook laptops, there are other HP laptops of course but not Notebooks ones

the laptop can run warframe just overclock the processor speed and add 8 gb more ram
@@de_light641 You said overclock the CPU? DO NOT do that, that's a major problem, if you overclock your CPU on a laptop, the motherboard will get fried. You can add more RAM ofc but never overclock the CPU on a laptop

Mx150 is an iGPU. You cannot increase your iGPU fan. You defo increased your CPU fan speed but not your iGPU unless it's the model of the laptop but i'm very certain the mx150 is a GPU

Woah its super cool that you re still replying to comments and hearting them!! also i ve got a hp pavilion gaming laptop 15 dk0xxx so do you know whats the closest model to that laptop? cuz my gpu is constantly at 90 degrees and my fans just dont bother to turn on, so it would be really amazing if you could give some suggestions!
When someone posts a new comment on one of my vids, i always get a notification and if i don't, i check on the channel comments on YT Studio so yeah, no comments will be missed unless someone posts a comment on someone else's comment then there will be no notifications coming so if anyone is seeing this, if you wanna comment something, post a new comment and don't reply to someone else's cuz a notification will not come to me and the chances of not seeing your comment will be high so yeah. Anyways, to answer your question. Your laptop is a gaming laptop and gaming laptops have a control center or something like that already installed on their laptops and this software specifically is for old or low end laptops and gaming laptops have their own software pretty sure. Not sure if EVERY gaming laptop has a control center or something like that but search your laptop for any gaming centers or something similar. If you don't find any, you can search for your laptop on Google and find any software, if any

Yea that's why i did this video cuz ofc MSI Afterburner does not allow changing fan speeds on laptops but most importantly, MSI Afterburner is for desktop GPU only, not for laptop GPUs (unless the laptop on a GPU is a full fledged one then yes). According to what you said, the closest laptop to yours is "HP Pavilion 14-v066br"

If you see your fan above 100% which you do, then it's misleading. The actual fan speed of 113.2% is probably 100%

Hi, thanxs for this wonderfull video. I downloaded the program but there is no Dell Latitude E5540? And is there a notebook that is close to it?
Unfortunately there are no Latitude laptops in the config and if you choose a different Dell laptop then the config of the Dell laptop that you have chosen will have different fan speed settings and that could probably exceed what your laptop needs and therefore it will use more battery life (well not a whole lot but a bit more than usual)

Hello, would you know what is the closes laptop to a dell inspiron 5567? In the software i picked Dell inspiron 7375 but it doenst seem to adjust the fan speed wich is currently working at 141.7% ??
Hello hello, i would've chosen the Dell Inspiron 7348 but it's technically the same thing so choosing either one of those won't make a huge difference. Don't worry, seeing the fan speed going 141.7% is impossible and the software is reporting wrong stats but have you clicked "Enabled" in the Fan control service status at the top?

Alex in my HP pavilion 14 when I leave it activated it works to change the fan speed but after 5 minutes the laptop goes into hibernation and I have to restart, what can it be?
I think the hibernation causes to app to crash i feel like and you have to put your laptop to sleep instead of hibernation, not sure tho if that's the issue

Well, your laptop is an expensive af laptop so it's technically a gaming laptop and for those kind of expensive laptops, these laptops have their own control fan center and there is no need to use this software

Since there are only 2 Dell Inspiron laptops, you can choose one of them
I am going to try this in the moring then restart my pc to see if the fan noise is bit quiet than it was before
To be honest, the fan won't slow down it will increase a little bit like 5-10%

@@ITZRithu That's pointless because you cannot lower your fan's RPM (or speed) it's done automatically. If you want your fans to be quiet (on your PC) just buy new fans or clear dust, whereas on laptops, you cannot change the Fan's RPM (well you can with a software but that will increase heat and decrease perfomance). You've gotta stick with the fan that your laptop has unfortunately

Your laptop is a gaming laptop and gaming laptops tend to have better cooling and better cooling software in general and gaming laptops do not need this software

I set it to read only, and it says that current fan speed is 112.5%, is it normal? Because my laptop now is idle and cpu temp is 39°C and fan works really quietly
Sometimes it reports wrong fan speed numbers, don't worry, ofc a fan cannot go above 100% so it just reports it wrong
I have an HP Pavilion 23 but that’s not on there. Would it be ok to chose a different HP Pavilion? Also is it ok to use on desktop PCs?
You could choose a different HP Pavilion laptop but i recommend choosing the closest one to it. The closest one to yours i guess it's the HP Pavilion 17-ab240nd
No, you cannot use it on your PC because it will simply not work, i mean you can go ahead and try it for yourself but i've tried it myself and it doesn't work so yeah

Hello, same guy had an HP Notebook and he didn't find it either, unfortunately in this software there are no HP Notebooks there are ofc HP laptops but no Notebooks and we can't do anything about that.

Hmm, that's weird, i haven't had any crashes from my laptop from this software. Try reinstalling the software and see if it solves the crash. If it still persists then uninstall the software

Gaming laptops tend to have better cooling software and a better cooling in general so because your laptop is a gaming laptop, you do not need this software
