The video starts at 5:51. your welcome.
+Theonlypayne Thank you! :)
+Theonlypayne Thanks, but please : YOU'RE
no I think it's 13:27 :P
But, if everyone skips ahead how will they know how to minimize and restore Speed Fan?
a little late, but okay, whatever dude.
DO not change to Fahrenheit or that shit learn he metric system best thing ever
Kelvin is metric, but I get what you mean.
Celsius isn't metric.
THIS VIDEO NEEDS TO BE 20 SECONDS LONG OF YOU JUST SHOWING HOW ITS DONE OMFG
I've rage too :D
+LiamEBM Ugh, for me it was interesting info, and what a good program. So be happy :)
I know no fucken clue what to do
2:43 future of mankind died...
lmfao
Ikr wtf
A lot of people use that actually, I don't see what's so foreign to you about Fahrenheit.
It's a joke
Maioru Ovidiu I'm glad it is.
Very helpful video, well articulated and presented. Thank you for explaining how to use this program in clear English and for the not so tech savvy. Well done.
Open a web browser like Internet explorer... nope nope nope nope nope ... NOPE
Minzkraut NOPE
+Minzkraut first sign that this video needs to be thrown into a volcano
+Minzkraut You are right. Better use spywares like Chrome...
Just being Anti-Microsoft doesn't make you cool.
Eli Burstein how am i anti microsoft? im using widows... so obviosly im the opposite... i just don't like things that are slow and ugly
Nope :D that's 2012
Good walkthrough! Actually explained everything I needed to know. Now my setup with 8 fans and 4 pumps is dead silent unless I start gaming. :)
Calm and clear guide through the Speedfan program, I find it very helpful! Thanks a lot!
select fahrenheit, lol, no thanks.
hahahahahaha ikr
I'd rather have Fahrenheit then Celsius scale because it's more precise. For every degree on the Celsius scale, there's about 2 1/2 degrees in Fahrenheit
@@leonardallen8754 Metric is always more precise, stick to metric.
Fuckin american am I right
@@leonardallen8754Bullshit. 0°C frost. 100°C boiling point of water
Some of you people are SMOKED OUT! Listen to what this guy is saying! He does a great job if explaining how to use the program! LISTEN! I can't believe some of you actually own computers!
The problem is,he has different computer...
Sheb8795 No...It's not..
There is a reason this video has over half a million views, very well done.
one of the best instructional videos I've ever seen. ANYWHERE. Great job. Thanks.
For everyone that it didn't work for, there's a step he missed (for me at least):
Go to the "Advanced" tab in the "Configure" window and change the chip, then "PWM mode" to Manual set PWM.
Cheers bro it's a crucial step ....
It's blank. There's a drop down menu on the bottom but its blank as well.
Takes 7:20 seconds for what you want to know to start.
lol thanks when the video showed 13 minutes i was like jeez
I like this tutorial, simple and thoroughly explained, and if I miss something I can read the text underneath
Cheers - easy to follow step by step. Useful for my Intel DQ57TM motherboard which no longer has CPU fan control after BIOS update!
SPEEDFAN THIS SPEEDFAN THAT SPEEDFAN ALSO, SPEEDFAN THIS TOO, LETS DOWNLOAD SPEEDFAN, CLICK DOWNLOAD SPEEDFAN, INSTALL SPEEDFAN, LOVE SPEEDFAN, OPEN SPEEDFAN,
LEARN TO SPEAK
XD
and to SPEEDFAN
This guy says the word speed fan more than any other word he says
haha ik
Clint Yeastwood Who cares?
I came here for a tutorial on how to control fan speeds with speedfan, not how to download and every other function of speedfan....
btw, it starts around 6:41
Thank you.
Mr666Pac You are very welcome mate! : )
Thanks for the helpful tutorial! At last I succeeded to put my crazy CPU fan under control...
Excellent tutorial! Very clear and precise.
Your system is running pretty hot man.
Lmao I was about to say it’s hotter than hell
That clicking sound is super obnoxious, but aside from that, decent video.
swagnerok rengar?
+iQilz rengar op
+swagnerok pls get nerfed
+mufu Agreed. I couldn't even watch it.
Thanks for the video! Finally learned how to lower the speed on my cpu fan to make it a lot more quiet. Thanks again.
People are still using this tutorial today, and I know why. You're very articulate and calm. Your pacing is desirable. Thank you for making this!
more like slow and annoying....

There is NO Add button with my case.
Same here:(
@@zazachumburidze8749 Woooooow! That was 8 years agooo!
I dont have ADD button in Temperatures
Great video thanks, It took me a while because I had my front and side intakes running off molex and it was the front intake I wanted to quiet down. I have removed the rear exhaust and run the front off system fan (case is fractal 1000 so dont need exhaust as psu acts as exhaust too). . . so i can now control the front intake and have it running much quieter, have also removed side fan (I don't game so didn't need it) great tut thanks again.
@R0meoSith Thank you for the feedback. Putting a download link in the description is a great idea.
I thought that you couldn't put a link because you can't in the video responses.
I placed a link to the home page on this video. I will be putting them in all future videos, and go back and add them to my old ones.
From 6:03 it shows how to control the fans you're welcome
11:00 Holy sh*t people still use floppy disks!?
who doesn't
Really nice video sir! The editing was very well done.
My braincells fried away, much like my CPU, when you opted for fahrenheit.
That being said, thanks for the tutorial.
Fahrenheit makes no damn sense
+Emilijus Sopa "Don't take it seriously".
How is your CPU running at 160F? Do you live in hell?
Jonathan D That's normal. 100C is 212F So I am guessing he is around 60-70C which is hot but not that bad.
+Vault Nomad My CPU is 32C right now-right after 2 hours of gaming on max graphics Dying Light 1080p.
+Jonathan D Also, AMD CPUs used to run at around 60-70c so it might be that since this video is from 2012.
+Jonathan D the cpu temps shown on speed fan are not accuarate, with my intel cpu it said it was running 130 degrees celcius yet in two other programs it said it was only 30 degrees celcius
+Jonathan D Mine's at 160F too,i live in africa.
Thank you so much! You saved me days of searching. I tried to use regular config but it didn't work. Only "Fan Control" feature worked for me.
Thanks dude, i set my fan's speed now :) !
SpeedFan does not detect my fans
Same, idk why.
that happened to me
are they plugged into your motherboard or a seperate hub?
You must have 4 pin cpu cooler,4'th pin is for control of the speeds for the fan...
U need to be at least popular for SpeedFan will detect your fans
9:31 What do I do when the "Add" button is blocked? (Can't be pressed, locked)?
Same
same
@HallucinogenicMac lol my ones the same
great vid , easy to follow, with all steps shown shame the applications fans speed control doesn't work on my pc.
Great video, Not going to use this but You are really good at explaining things
if i uninstall speedfan what happens to all the changes i made to the fans ?
it will back to normal
Uh, aren't your readings showing that your computer is running really, really hot?
you're a LIFE SAVER!!! THANKS MAN
Thumbs up and subscribed for almost burning your cpu at 172F to demonstrate speedfan!
Well i guess i don't have any fans
I guess i dont have either... though i have something spinning inside... Like 8 of them w/o psu
I thought i had one too. No its invisible...
same here i also apparently dont have a hard drive cpu or a gpu
*Opens Internet Explorer*
*Exits the video*
*Then considers getting better browser.
Idiot explorer
Thank you, a bit complicated but very helpful
my gpu fan is recognized as auxiliary fan and the fan of my case is recognized as my system fan but other than that, everything is going excellent, really useful program and great video
I don't have "Speed01" "Speed02" etc like it shows in this video. Instead I have "Pwm1" "Pwm2" and "Pwm3". They don't let me control anything at all. I specifically want to be able to lower my CPU fan since it is constantly racing at 2300rpms even after replacing it.
That is the same thing my computer says. I have no control over my fans in anyways what so ever...
u only can controll 4pin fans (pwm fans)
***** What does that mean?
Jonathon Ruffolo u can only controll 4pin fans via software (for instance speedfan) if u cant controll ur fan via software it will be a 3pin fan 99%, u can only controll them by changing the voltage i use a 4pin molex to 9v 3pin adapter to run my pump and 3 3pin fans as quite as possible
***** Thank you very much for the fast and detailed reply! I finally understand why it's not working!
jesus was his cpu at 86C?
I was gonna say no that must be degrees F... but I think he's cooking eggs there.
You can change your temperature to Fahrenheit or Celsius in Configure > options tab
ExpertOfSound Yeah, but that temp there is in degrees Celsius (in the video).
Pira 21 Turn them all to 0 then increase each too 100 to work out which is spinning (put your hand by your case fan exhausts to feel where the air is coming from).
Even in the 90s is a safe temp, but is not recommended. ~85 is actually a recommended 'safe' temperature when overclocking.
Ah nostalgia...... I miss this program I forgot of its existence... im gonna start messing around with it again
Very nice and clear shown what to do with speedfan
why my speedfan wont recognize my fans beside the GPU fan
i have the same problem..
I can't add any fans here..Hello!??
Having the same problem here...
same problem here
same problem...
same shit
Thanks. Was helpful and thorough.
You should also change the "Warning" temperature for the temperature you are using to control the fan (Temp2 in the video), otherwise when the temperature of this component reaches the warning temperature it makes the fan spin at 100%.
The setting for this is in the Configure > Temperatures window, then when you click on the component you are using to control the fan at the bottom you'll see "Desired" and "Warning" temperatures, just change the "Warning" temperature to 100*C for ease.
is this some kind of guide for old people ?
Saínt Nope, Aliens
i have 6 fans but im only using 3 Thug Life
Omg Thank you. You sooooooo much. This helped for everything I needed.
Absolutely great Video, and good explanation. Ya helped me alot, thanks. The only bothering is your meek, robotic speech, but I guess you improved that already.
jesus christ, dont be so damn sensitive. I was simply stating my opinion and you go like immediatly berserk. this was a honest post, not a trollpost, but whatever....
Oh...OK...sorry! :) Thought you were a troll.
jag why cant i control my case fans tho is it because there plugged into my power supply or what? anyone please help my computer is a volcano
When plugged into a power supply, the fans will run at 100%. Plug them into the motherboard. If there are limited spots for fans, buy an adapter that takes two fans and converts them to have one plug. This will allow the motherboard and software to read the fans. Now, you can configure them to your liking.
i can't turn down my system fan and it is plugged to my motherboard and has 4 wires
hey, my laptop used to that too but for some reason when im plugged in they no longer go at full force why is that?
I cannot add any fans in the software :/
same
thank you this saved the life of my pc
it actually worked thank you!
The program does not reconize my 4-pin Molex fans! Please help!
i fixed that by plugging the 3-pin connecters into my motherboard fan headers
I have 4-pin molex not 4-pin. The one on the psu
do they connect into an adaptor, or are they just molex?
Molex
ah, see, seeing as the fan is plugged in via molex, the motherboard isnt detecting it, because its not actually connected to the motherboard, if there was an adaptor, like i have in my NZXT S340, you could pull out the plugs from the molex adaptor, plug them into the fan headers on your motherboard, and it would then be detected by speedfan.
Get back my 13 minuts of life :(
Thank you,i'l use this to speed up my GPU fan so i can have less burning danger when i overclock my GPU.
Thanks for awesome tutorial
it sucks this program doesn't even work.lol
thank you for a very useful informative video!
thanks alot man u saved my fan 😘
Thank you for your video, saved me a lot of hassle installing the Asus bullshit bloatware to control my cpu & system fans!!
excellent works great now my pc fan is not so annoying : ) thanks : )
thank you very much my friend! :)
Yiiir thanks, if everybody made video like this everybody will understand
Read the speedfan's original post, understood nothing. Saw this video and after trial and error for half an hour finally The fan is now quiet.. peace brother. Didn't think controlling speed would be this EASY :p
You good sir, are a legend :D
Dude your CPU runs really hot.
Thanks so much and dont pay attention to nasty comments. You've been a big help!
Thanks Data, most informative.
Thanks, it helped me!
Thanks for your solution. It worked!
Tenk yu men. Dis wideo was weri helpfol
clean out the heat sinks and fans of dust... suprisingly it helps allot! also if your motherboard along with your case support another fan, buy another fan and connect it, improving air flow.
Nice tut Neo - voice guy
From the "Chip" drop down menu in the "Advanced" tab, select an option (there are multiple options, keep picking one until you get an option with PWM Mode. That is your motherboard.)
You forgot to include a tutorial on how to watch this video.
+truckcompany go to 5:15
+vincent coyle 5:51 sorry
You explain everything in great detail, yet I find myself completely unable to change the speed of the case fans.
thanks for the video.
thank you sir for this tutorial i found it quite usefull thank you
thank you!! i do! thank you
thanks for reply. I already have ca cooling pad.
Thanks this helped

Nice tut... very detailed. thanks.

anil pun I do.
What a blessing :)
thanks for sharing "JAG Tutorials"
Question, on the "Readings" tab, instead of seeing Speed01, Speed02, etc., I read Pwm1, Pwm2, Pwm3, and GPU Fan. At this point in time, I downloaded version 4.52 instead of the 4.45 showing on your video. Thus, is there a way in the Configuration where the labels Pwm(x) can be changed to Speed(xx)? Btw, how do you know which one is the chassis temperature? Thank you.
Thank you very much , hope my pc wont burn 😁
