I have removed the rear exhaust and run the front off system fan (case is fractal 1000 so dont need exhaust as psu acts as exhaust too). . . so i can now control the front intake and have it running much quieter, have also removed side fan (I don't game so didn't need it) great tut thanks again.

    You should also change the "Warning" temperature for the temperature you are using to control the fan (Temp2 in the video), otherwise when the temperature of this component reaches the warning temperature it makes the fan spin at 100%.
    The setting for this is in the Configure > Temperatures window, then when you click on the component you are using to control the fan at the bottom you'll see "Desired" and "Warning" temperatures, just change the "Warning" temperature to 100*C for ease.

    • @dennisplayinglacrosse
      @dennisplayinglacrosse 8 лет назад +2

      When plugged into a power supply, the fans will run at 100%. Plug them into the motherboard. If there are limited spots for fans, buy an adapter that takes two fans and converts them to have one plug. This will allow the motherboard and software to read the fans. Now, you can configure them to your liking.

    • @TonyPenrose99
      @TonyPenrose99 9 лет назад

      ah, see, seeing as the fan is plugged in via molex, the motherboard isnt detecting it, because its not actually connected to the motherboard, if there was an adaptor, like i have in my NZXT S340, you could pull out the plugs from the molex adaptor, plug them into the fan headers on your motherboard, and it would then be detected by speedfan.

    clean out the heat sinks and fans of dust... suprisingly it helps allot! also if your motherboard along with your case support another fan, buy another fan and connect it, improving air flow.

    From the "Chip" drop down menu in the "Advanced" tab, select an option (there are multiple options, keep picking one until you get an option with PWM Mode. That is your motherboard.)

    You explain everything in great detail, yet I find myself completely unable to change the speed of the case fans.

    Question, on the "Readings" tab, instead of seeing Speed01, Speed02, etc., I read Pwm1, Pwm2, Pwm3, and GPU Fan. At this point in time, I downloaded version 4.52 instead of the 4.45 showing on your video. Thus, is there a way in the Configuration where the labels Pwm(x) can be changed to Speed(xx)? Btw, how do you know which one is the chassis temperature? Thank you.
