Lucky for me, I got a MSI motherboard and your vid really helped me with reducing the noise of my new PC. I have no idea why Smart Fan Mode isn't factory default.
I'm going to try this. I have the torrent fractal case w/ the build in Fan Hub along with my z690 MSI motherboard. My fans feel super loud right even when I'm browsing through the internet.
Thank you you so much, literally the exact video I was looking for. However, I have one question, what if you have 4 pin fans connected to a hub that connects to the motherboard with a 3 pin connector. Are the fans now PWM or DC?
My fans started randomly going from around 2000 RPM to 5000 RPM and sounds like its about to blow up every 20 seconds, hopefully this will prevent my PC from blowing up 😂
So I can adjust the fan speed of each individual fan header in BIOS? What if i have a splitter, will the header control both fans to be set to the same speeds?
the header lets you control the PWM/voltage, so yes if you have a fan splitter the fans will run at the same PWM/voltage (if they're the same type of fan then they will be at the same speed/RPM +/-, but if they're different fans they will be running at the same PWM/voltage which may not be the same speed/RPM.) typical headers can only handle 1.0 amps, so depending on the fan and how many amps it requires will limit how many fans can be on 1 header. hope that helps
