You'll probably never see this comment dude, but thanks to your tutorial on setting this up I solved a really raunchy noise my CPU Fan was making. I got it down to a speed where it doesn't make the noise. I can now sleep peacefully.
Thank you for this guide! I managed to get my 3 front fans to run with SpeedFan, and ramp up only when the CPU gets hotter. I did have to wire all 3 fans up to one PWM header on the motherboard, and on max load they pull up to 0.75A which i hope should be in the specs under 1A for the header.
It does not work for me i can find my i7 7800x but ghe only thing that appears for me is . The temprature with value 0 or 1 and FAN 1 multi and FAN div with value 1. At fan control i cant choose the add button it s blank.

Hoping this works in my laptop so I can get it too run a bit cooler the cooler is inadequate it only has one heat pipe and it really need 2 it idles at around 47C I would like it to idle at 40C or below, they must be three pin fans your using and not four pin fans, four pins are your PWM fans, 1300rpm low rpm case fans I’m use 3 x Noctua 1700rpm P12 Redux’s as case fans and I have an A12X25 on my rad of my main gaming PC it stays super cool so cool it turbo’s past it’s rated GHZ with no OC 5900X with cores that run at 5.0-5.1ghz and the rest run at either 4.77-4.89ghz 4.8ghz is supposed to be it’s max I get about 1/2 my cores run at 4.89ghz most of the time it’s odd but i heard that AMD will take a higher end processor like say a 5950X that has two bad cores, they restrict it to twelve cores and call it a 5900X I think I got one of those

Tried to get support on the SpeedFan site, uploaded my configuration, and believe it or not, with likely a million of this model in use (this model enjoyed a 2.25 year run, perhaps one of the longest in Dell history), zero matchups. It's literally hard for me to believe that I've spent cash on a cooler & then a separate fan, because I felt the first to be defective, and all of the CPU fans runs at the same speed (908 rpm), with an occasional ram up to just over 1,000 rpm. That's 50% of the fan's max speed & a third of the one prior. Simply put, SpeedFan needs a more consumer friendly interface, a few clicks & done. The adding to the Task Manager at Startup, I can understand, yet the rest of it & I did play with the graphs, were frustration in vain. I simply want my CPU fan to run at 100% all of the time, has a 6 year warranty & Noctua manufactures the quietest fans around, with SSO2 bearings that'll make these outlast their warranties. Read reviews, other than color scheme, Noctua fans generally has 99.5% positive reviews & for good reason. It's idiots like Dell's engineers who gives us lack of speed controls. Not all, yet some OEM's, that allows for adjustments to reduce noise or increase for higher cooling performance, Dell flunks this test with flying colors. Cat

The options are always a little different based mostly on your motherboard. It's one of those things you sort of have to play around with and experiment with. Unfortunately, there's no one-size-fits-all way to set it up.

Did you just say this program replaces thermal paste? Because it most certainly does no such thing.
