This is a must have for me. I’m glad I was able to fight off the FOMO.. it’s down to 350.00 now. The price it should have been on release! Kudos on your cabinet. One of the best looking cabs to date! 👍
This Arcade cabinet looks very cool I love the artwork 🖼 The games that come on it are very good. I really like Asteroids and Centipede as well as some of the other ones too. The lighting on this looks very nice as well. I really love this one. 🕹😀
Thanks for the video. Good to see it has a decent spinner this time. The original Tempest 1Up cab had a "Knob" not a spinner. Requires force to get it turn. That cab also has problems with sound being out of sync; you can see the shot being fired before hearing the sound. BTW, not sure what you were thinking by adding the wall of noise during setup, especially for so long. I had to mute it after about 20 seconds.
Just picked one of these up - generally a nice cabinet, though I don't understand why they are doing a horizontal display that doesn't match the native orientation of the marquee game in the cabinet... Early versions can have bad encoder boards and the marquee is pretty poorly printed, and a LOT of the trackballs seem to have at least 1-2 bad mini bearings on the encoder shaft. Replacements are 3mm ID x 6 mm OD and 2.5mm thick.
I got the $250 deal and love it but did anyone notice Centipede sounds a bit off. I have the centipede 1 and used to own a real centipede so I know what it is supposed to sound like. At 450 and 350 I could not get over Tempest in the wrong aspect ratio but at 250 I can live with it. :-) The Trackball and Spinner are Great. Not replacing
The asteroids pew pew fire sound is driving me crazy why change things from original makes no since!!!! Ill check the centipede sound now this is depressing:( great cab but not good emulation sucks😣 may return it..
Sorry I'm just now seeing this. Enjoyed the review. Did you ever mod the control panel, and marquee for this one? I still have my Tempest, and did mod it. Thanks for sharing this. :)
Just have to ask cause i bought one and the asteroids on mine when i shot a lazer it makes 2 sounds like pew pew is this normal for this cab cause ive never seen a version do this?
@@SonicGT73 thats a bummer it ruins the authenticity and overall experience for me:( I also noticed the colors are off on Galaxian on the first gen Galaga cab :(
I didn’t even notice it until you mentioned it lol. I’d think the fact that it’s. It it branded as an asteroids cabinet would ruin the asteroids experience more then the sound lol
this, tron, and star wars are the best looking a1up cabs yet. im interested in all three just for looks alone
Just put this up myself! Congrats!

Centipede sounds ok to me. But I haven’t played the actual arcade one in awhile. If it’s off it’s not enough for me to notice

I did swap out the trackball later
@@SonicGT73 Very cool. :)
My son just got one for xmas, is the powerdrill the only tool needed?
Nice review
Oh this was 2years ago, this arcade is 400 and over and it won't go under.
Very cool!

I never noticed so I just tried and it was sporadic but it did happen on mine too

I am struggling on how to switch games without turning it off? How are you doing that lol
Hold the player 1 button down for like 5 seconds and it goes back to the menu
How to add your initials?? Can someone please help us
Depends on the game. If you get a high score you use the trackball for the trackball games when it asks you to enter them
Stop by ModOneUp.com and pick up a real Tempest Waterfall Deck and then your cabinet will look perfect!
The cacophony of arcade "ambiance" is really annoying.
Usually I put music from the games but these games don’t have any so wasn’t sure what to put other then sounds from the arcade ambience project
