Aetherium Crown - Allows 2 Standing Stones to be active at a time. Can be acquired by doing the quest 'Lost to the Ages" that is started when reading the book 'Aetherium Wars.' This book is found in various places, but mostly found near the crafting area of Fort Dawnguard.
Unlucky Naariv I believe there's a glitch in where you can inherit the perks of the crown and not have to wear it (get 2 stones and wear a different circlet). I haven't played Skyrim for a while though,so this may be wrong
@Windsnap13 I’ll have to go back and try it again. I haven’t played in a while LMAO I got Skyrim on the Switch, started playin an hour ago so give me a bit
Really, really, really long name that is really pointless but you are still reading it The steed stone is kinda useless when you get far into the heavy armor tree and get the same thing without the 100 carry weight buff which isn't even that important by the time you can get the perk
@@secondandonly8032 Be careful with the Steed Stone, it my favorite however when you use Fortify Restoration potion that might allow you to carry 5000+ weight ... the Steed Stone is actually 100 times that weight which includes 100 times of stamina. I usually double enchant my armor with health and stamina. If I remove the Steed Stone by selecting another standing stone, I will die when I remove the armor. It like removing 100 times the amount stamina from your life force. Even though you might weigh less than 100lbs and carry weight is 300 ... by removing the Steed Stone after you have drank a powerful Restoration Potion, you will die when you remove whatever item you enchanted as stamina.
Same I went to the bandit camp then hopped on a trail to a mine then the mine was right next to the village so I didn’t get to them until I had to go to Alduins wall
Will you're the best, man. You are rolling out these Skyrim guides at the same time as I'm playing it for the first time. You are the best. Keep up the good work.
I prefer the use of Atronach stone, the 50 extra mana allows the use of some higher mana cost spells at a lot lower levels. Also when you are a vampire with necromage perk in restoration, AND have the atronach perk in alteration, you get 100% spell absorption on DEFAULT.
Yea, most things cap at 85% or so, but this is spell absorption, not resistence, it might work differently, Either way, the max of 85% spell absorption and 85% resistence would be really powerfull.
Lord Stone plus Ritual stone using the Aetherial Crown is sick. Love having an army follow me. And when they die.....simply take the crown off and put it right back on and use the Ritual Stone power again. Repeat for badassery.
Lover stone has also disadventage that you cant get rest bonus while under effect of it. But if you using guardian stones, you can get +20% for specific set of skills and +5%, +10% or 15% flat bonus from resting (depending where you rest). So that leads to 35% max bonus for specific set.
Razimir Aetherium Crown gives two standing stones. Lover + (Mage, Thief, or Warrior) = 35% Also a great combo if you're a werewolf! As you can't sleep as one.
What if you have the Aetherium Crown w/ the Lover Stone set as your older stone. Couldn't you just take the crown off, then sleep giving you the rested bonus, then put the crown back on, or would that erase the rested bonus?
William Strife watch out Will, twitch is a Nazi! I definitely think you should move all your content to RUclips, certainly not because I don't have a twitch account and can't binge all your content..
A thing to keep in mind, is that you can always take a particular Stone Blessing for a particular mission as needed. You could take the free unlock while delving into the depths of a dungeon to get into a particular chest full of goodies, or take the invisibility for a particularly sticky mission if you’re not great a stealth making a mission like the Thalmor embassy easier… etc. You don’t need to choose one and keep it for ever, grab which ever blessing you need to fulfill whatever goal you have in mind! Another tip is that some of them with cons, can be assisted with enchanted gear… like taking the boost to magicka and using enchanted gear to offset the heavy magicka resistance issue. The same goes for stacking, like he mentioned… if you’re preparing for a big dragon fight or magic heavy boss fight you can essentially take the magic resistance and stack it with some decent gear and be almost entirely fireproof to whoop dragon ass, or offer resistances you sorely lack while taking on a dungeon full of crazy necromancers and mages! It’s just good to keep these in mind, understand your strengths and weaknesses and know which stones will help smooth your play style out a bit. Let them work for you and treat them as a way to help pick up any slack you have or use them to boost your highest strengths to become a very specifically powerful character in one niche. That’s the best thing about Skyrim… you can push your character into a tiny corner where you rule like a god, or spread yourself all over the map and be good at a ton of things and use Stones, and enchantments as needed to become powerful as needed for a particular quest. A surgeon with a scalpel who only does things a particular way, with extreme precision… or become a jack of all trades, ever evolving as needed to fit the situation!
strife, you have earned the "best yog voice" award, with a voice which even surpasses the relaxing voice of sjin. Truly your voice is the most soothing, most relaxing, best all around voice of all the yogs. congratulations
A note about the Atronach stone: Don't pick this stone if you're doing a conjuration build. Spell Absorption works against you when trying to summon atronachs and such.
Something else the Steed Stone does is that it allows the player to pick up the same armor being worn without it being encumbering; it's my personal favorite part. For example: I had it while traveling through the Forgotten Vale while also having at least 1 part of my gear enchanted with Fortify Carry Weight to a super-high level and was able to pick up loads of Heavy Falmer equipment and shields (what I was wearing in the process) while not seeing the counter for what I pick up get any higher because of it.
i personlly find the lord stone to be best. especially on a breton. 50% magic resistance trumps a lot of things. a breton with endgame light armor and the lord stone is nigh on immortal
7:14 Did you forget about the shout Soul Tear because it works on giants. If you did not know soul tear deals damage to any adversary, places a soul trap like effect on it and if you kill them with it raises to battle for you if possible but has a recharge rat of 90.
I always take rhe steed stone as it allows me to carry 3 entire sets of deadric armor specifically enchanted to whether I'm using one handed, archery, or magic. and so I can carry all the extra weapons and staves and potions. basically il enter inventory right after shooting arrows till the last second and come out swinging swords
Little note about the Atronach Stone: it doesn't just affect incoming attack spells. There are other spells and effects that can trigger magicka absorb. One example can be when conjuring summoned creatures (though this can be buggy and prevent casting) and another I've noticed is the effect from the Shadow Warrior perk. Possibly the most useful though is how spell absorption plays with Circle Of Protection. Whilst inside, the spell is technically permanently casting on you, and with a decent magicka absorption you'll notice that the Circle Of Protection spell now functions as a super effective magicka well. Plus, there are ways to combine this with the Alteration perk "Atronach" to get 100% Magic Absorbtion (as it's not capped) and become fully immune to magic and elemental damage.
An notable difference between the Lover's stone and the Guardian stones. The Guardian stones' effects stack with the experience gain bonus effect gained from resting, but the Lover's stone effect is permanent version of the "Lover's Comfort" Effect, which is the strongest of the resting experience bonuses. Because you already have Lover's Comfort, you are prevented from obtaining any other resting Bonus. This can be circumvented if you have the Lover's stone as your Aetherium Crown slot, as it does not replace a resting bonus you already have. This allows you to combine a Guardian Stone with two versions of Lover's Comfort for a massive boost to experience yield, you just need to put the crown on after you wake up.
The Ritual stone is my favorite as you can raise an army of undead to fight for you which is useful for fighting bosses in nordic ruins. You can reanimate giants & mammoths from the dead with the Ritual Stone, and it's even more powerful when your character has a high Conjuration skill with the Necromancy & Dark Souls perks which gives all zombies a full health bar and keep your army in battle longer for about 150 minutes. You can also make your army stronger with Battle Fury Shout available in the "Dragonborn DLC", Restoration perk Necromage allows you heal your zombies with Restoration spells, and the master Illusion skill perk Master Of The Mind will allow Courage spells to motivate them.
I see a few comments on getting the Aetherial Crown allowing two stones at once. But also, If u have the crown and set it up with a power 1x/day stone, u just unequip the crown and reequip it and BAM, you can use the ability again. Allows unlimited use of said power hehehe.
With the Aetherial Crown from the Dawn Guard dlc you can have two standing stone effects at the same time, maybe that would have been worth to mention.
I particularly like to have my character take a Guardian Stone effect with them, and put the Lover Stone's effect in the crown. Take the crown off before sleeping, and get the "Well-Rested" EXP boost. Then put it back on and get to work. Of course, if you're a werewolf, you can't be "Well-Rested" anyway, so you can just have the Guardian and Lover bonuses.
the Atronach Stone is objectively speaking the most powerful and useful Stone combined with a couple of other perks you can literally become immune to any form of magic shouts included
*Makes a super sneaky archer sniper* *chooses the Warrior Stone for half the game* *finds out that Thief Stone secretly affects archery and sneak so he just wasted a ton of time for no good reason* *dies*
I exploited the ritual stone like a boss, at one point I would kill room after room of people, then wait 24 hours, do it again and again. I got a grand total of like 30 undead warriors at my command
More like there's already 3-4 versions of Skyrim out there ranging from the original released in 2011 to the latest Special Edition in 2016. Never underestimate people's ability to get confused and say "It's the same game with the same name, but the PS4 and Xbone versions are totally different games cause they're on different systems right?"
Standard (the original game), Legendary (the game with all the updates and DLC pre-installed), and Special Edition (the one that adds pretty light effects) Or he could be talking about the "versions" as in the updates. Version 1.0, Version 2.4, Version 5.3, etc...
William Strife i see ps3 xbox360 and base pc (one with steam mods) as one version and ps4 xbox1 and se on steam (bethesda mods) as another so thats 2 version (btw legendary is same as ps3 and xbox 360 but with the updates and dlc's)
The Steed Stone is by far the most useful for any play style. But the Atherial Crown is very handy. But to get it is a pain in the butt...but well worth it. There's a ring called Ahzidal's Ring, and undead that you control (when hit) explode for 50 points of frost damage. But if you have the Ritual Stone as your choice, equip the Atherial Crown...you can simply unequipped the crown and place it back on and you can reuse the Ritual Stone effect again without waiting 24 hours. The stones power is saved to the crown. This means you can go and get any other stone you want. I recommend the Steed Stone. You just can't beat it.
I tested the thief Vs mage stone for alchemy. - My alchemy was at level 36. In the 'skills tree', the levelling bar was 'as far as' the end of the capital 'L' in Alchemy, i.e. a little over level 36. - I set the MAGE stone and did one training session with Archadia. - The bar went up a whole level, ending up just under the capital 'L' in Alchemy. - I set the THIEF STONE, reloaded my game at level 36, and did one training again with her. - The level bar has gone up MORE than a whole level at 37 and is under the start of capital 'E' in Alchemy. I should think that is conclusive enough for anyone: THIEF STONE GOVERNS ALCHEMY, and one should also set the relevant stone BEFORE training or reading a training book. Ye are all welcome! 😁👍
Just wondering, since the steed stone erases ALL penalty on armor it should be extremely useful if you want a stealth tank, since no negativ eeffects and no weight of the armor should make it impossible to be detected by sound
Best stone - Lord Stone(defense is OP just for its MR, but the armor is even better) other stones are just for experience, disadvantages are not worth, greater powers, and aren't worth it IMO. but start your playthrough with a guardian stone and reach the Lord stone ASAP.
although thief stone gets more skills it also gets 2 of the most useless ones speech and lockpick and arguably alchemy too, since u wont have trouble later on with money, lockpicking is easy and u can use enchanted equipment and u find alot of potions and can buy them
it didn't seem like you gave the Atronach Stone a fair shake down. a pure magic user does not have to worry about close combat do to spells like Oak flesh. Andy Magic regeneration is easily countered and overcome buy enchantments which are a staple of a magic user as well
SWATDRUMMUH yeah so if you have the warrior stone and you go ahead and use the Apprentice stone the warrior stone effects will go away but you will have the effects of the Apprentice stone!
DLC: Lord stone/racial 25% magic resistance /Atronach stone. take 85% less magic damage, and abilities absorb 100% magic damage takes no damage. Mage slayer, sneak 100, archery 100 warrior slayer stay out of combat or run in swing swords
How exactly does the steed benefit you though? All it does is make heavy armor not penalize you, but you could also use the atronach or lord and light armor and be way better since heavy armor isn't very much more protection than light anyway. And if you need 100 extra carrying capacity you're probably a hoarder. Not useable on a serious run.
not lies, i used an exploit called the restoration potion glitch or something like that its really easy. I play on legendary now but it is still difficult cos i only got 300 health
Hmmm.. hey Will.. dont know if you know about this one or not.. but there is a one of a Kind Circlet you can get in the game that allows you to pick up a blessing from a second Standing Stone.. think it might be part of one of the DLCs.. involves a Dwemer Ruin and at the end you can chose between the Circlet and a Shield..
I was always confused about enchanting. Because where its place looks like it belongs in the warrior class the perk tree is place next to smithing I think that's why I always thought yep must be a warrior skill.
I’m confused? The shadow stone allows you to become invisible for up to 60 seconds a day so how does that work then? How do you activate it when you want to become invisible?
On my modded mage build character, I went Mage stone at first, then switched to the Lover stone. I already have Destruction level 100 and want to bolster my Archery and One Handed because that's what I fall back on when the magicka runs out.
hi again brother i say to you i am new player in game & i am so grateful if you share your huge experiment with me i have 2 question, 1- why when i use invisible potion enemy can see me? 2- why when i use magic i have lag in my hand, i must lang click for use magic and if i click right or left mouse just for 1 40/5000 Nothing happens, only my hand moves a little i play high elf with heavy armor

Never underestimate people's ability to get confused and say "It's the same game with the same name, but the PS4 and Xbone versions are totally different games cause they're on different systems right?"
Standard (the original game), Legendary (the game with all the updates and DLC pre-installed), and Special Edition (the one that adds pretty light effects)
Or he could be talking about the "versions" as in the updates. Version 1.0, Version 2.4, Version 5.3, etc...

i see ps3 xbox360 and base pc (one with steam mods) as one version and ps4 xbox1 and se on steam (bethesda mods) as another so thats 2 version (btw legendary is same as ps3 and xbox 360 but with the updates and dlc's)

May have been worth mentioning the aetherial crown. Some truly powerful combinations exist
we are welcome for pointing out Alchemy is under thief Stone skills? lol
Lady stone is also boosted by drinking a fortefy restoration potion just before accepting it.
Damn I miss these videos. Too bad Fallout 4 didn't get the in depth guides
WhyBeUgly because unfortunately there wasn't much there
Fallout is just really ONE playstyle, and that's to pew pew boom boom, everyone is basically just a shooter.
I recall putting the atronach stone on my warrior just for the spell absorption. It allowed me to close the distance while charging mages down.
thank u i always wounded what the guarding stones effect witch skill tree now i know such a very helpful guide
Dude your guides are phenomenal 👍
Dose the one you chose at the beginning effects stay with you when you find another one such as a shadow stone
No. You can only have one stone active at a time. As soon as you activate another stone the effect from the previous disappears.
I forgot they do that lol thanks
Just wondering, since the steed stone erases ALL penalty on armor it should be extremely useful if you want a stealth tank, since no negativ eeffects and no weight of the armor should make it impossible to be detected by sound
You should do more elder scrolls guides like you used to
Best stone - Lord Stone(defense is OP just for its MR, but the armor is even better)
other stones are just for experience, disadvantages are not worth, greater powers, and aren't worth it IMO. but start your playthrough with a guardian stone and reach the Lord stone ASAP.
although thief stone gets more skills it also gets 2 of the most useless ones speech and lockpick and arguably alchemy too, since u wont have trouble later on with money, lockpicking is easy and u can use enchanted equipment and u find alot of potions and can buy them
This video was useful and helpful. Thank you for your work.
it didn't seem like you gave the Atronach Stone a fair shake down. a pure magic user does not have to worry about close combat do to spells like Oak flesh. Andy Magic regeneration is easily countered and overcome buy enchantments which are a staple of a magic user as well
An undead army to do my bidding?
You know, I wasn't sure at first, but I think Skyrim just might actually be my kind of game.
Side note with the aetherial crown . You can have two standing stone abilities.
You should have made sure to include the item location of the helmet/circlet that lets you use two of the stones.
Right on time with this one!
Ironically, I missed the guardian stones my first playthrough of skyrim xD
So you can only activate one of these several stones at a time?
SWATDRUMMUH correct
SWATDRUMMUH correct
SWATDRUMMUH yeah so if you have the warrior stone and you go ahead and use the Apprentice stone the warrior stone effects will go away but you will have the effects of the Apprentice stone!
u can use 2 if u get the aethel crown !
You said one word and i had to subscribe its godly well demi god you aint no morgan freeman
North of Merida Statue you have Wolf Skull Cave North of that is the steed . It changed my mid game life
Who needs the steed stone when ive got 811040 carry weight through super enchanted boots?
BLACKWOLF129075 lies!!!
not lies, i used an exploit called the restoration potion glitch or something like that its really easy. I play on legendary now but it is still difficult cos i only got 300 health
resto glich can literally break game not careful
Does the Lord Stone work with the Breton's 25 percent resistance??
Hmmm.. hey Will.. dont know if you know about this one or not.. but there is a one of a Kind Circlet you can get in the game that allows you to pick up a blessing from a second Standing Stone.. think it might be part of one of the DLCs.. involves a Dwemer Ruin and at the end you can chose between the Circlet and a Shield..
Could you stack the lover stone and let’s say the mage stone to get better improvement of skills?
I was always confused about enchanting. Because where its place looks like it belongs in the warrior class the perk tree is place next to smithing I think that's why I always thought yep must be a warrior skill.
If you go to the Aetherium forge via quest, you can get two standing stones at a time by crafting the crown. Yw
u still do skyrim guide thats awesome
is the path to the steed stone by the cave with the big cats?
Are you able to stack lover and mage stones with the crown
Lord stone + steed stone =OP af
I’m confused? The shadow stone allows you to become invisible for up to 60 seconds a day so how does that work then? How do you activate it when you want to become invisible?
I normally ignore them as always have a temporary effect anyway and do the hard work myself
does the lord stone's armor increase affect the alteration perk, mage armor? Or does it stack?
thank you for making these guides
On my modded mage build character, I went Mage stone at first, then switched to the Lover stone. I already have Destruction level 100 and want to bolster my Archery and One Handed because that's what I fall back on when the magicka runs out.
thats not much of a mage
hi again brother
i say to you i am new player in game & i am so grateful if you share your huge experiment with me
i have 2 question, 1- why when i use invisible potion enemy can see me?
2- why when i use magic i have lag in my hand, i must lang click for use magic and if i click right or left mouse just for 1 40/5000
Nothing happens, only my hand moves a little
i play high elf with heavy armor
