Just had mine done and yes it was the nearside.. The garage changed mine and also changed the strut .. Changing the strut is recommended by Citroen .. So for those that get their top mounts replaced by a garage they will probably get fitted a new strut as a matter of course.. I paid a little less than the Halfords price mentioned in a previous comment.. A new strut with mounts was £88 ..
Just going from memory as I no longer have the vehicle, once the bonnet seal has been removed you have to be a little forceful and pull it down in the same direction as the windscreen. Good luck and thanks for watching.
Have you undone the tracked rod and antiroll bar link? There's a nut at the bottom of the strut to. You have to pull the whole assembly down while lifting the strut up. Alternatively undo the whole hub assembly and remove it careful you don't remove the gearbox side, but it's not to much of an issue to top it up and only about half a cup will come out. Good luck hope you succeed.
Another suggestion keep the strut bolted in at the top undo the bolt at the bottom of the strut and with a hammer tap the hub assembly down to loosen it from the hub
Great video. Had a broken spring on this side. JUST about managed to get the strut out, and rebuild. But, there just isn't enough clearance to pull the boot down far enough, to get the strut back in to the knuckle!! Any tips?
Cheers mate, gonna start this project today! All I've got is a broken spring on the passenger side but I though that if I'm gonna go through the trouble might as well replace all of the fronts wearing bits. Seems like a pain in the ass but at least I've some reference now.

Was yours on the left hand side too? I read somewhere it may be caused as a result of the fact the car is originally designed as a left hand drive and then adapted. Glad you got it sorted.
Not sure if I'm answering your question correctly, there is a little hole in the top (about 6mm) mount I aligned white the one in the mount by using a drill bit. Then tightened it all up.
Hi man and thanks for the video. Do you remember if the suspension strut is adjustable?, I gonna buy one of those c3 picasso and want to lift it up a bit and make the whole suspension harder so it doesn't rock as much while turning.

PLEASE HELP. Iv had the same problem on my 2010 Model. I Changed front suspension at 130,000 miles and then got a knocking noise. I eventually gave up and got a new c3 Picasso 2014 plate. but now I have the same issue. Just 50,000 on clock and a spring broke. I changed both front springs with mounts due to last car issues. The garage assured me the springs were close to OEM. After a few weeks I have knocking noice from front n/s. Garage today got car on ramp and said they cannot find anything wrong. What do I do
I have found parts are important, oem parts can make a difference but mainly make sure every nut and bolt is properly torqued up, double check antiroll bar link to. Apparently a lot of it could be caused because the car is designed as a left hand drive and converted to right hand for other markets. I no longer have my Citroen, so trying to refresh my memory, good luck with the issue.

Access on modern vehicles is terrible I find, I think your best bet is the use of a good quality pry bar, thanks for watching

Hi can you tell me if the top mount nut is supposed to be loose so it can be turned by hand thanks
From my memory it should be a nylon locking nut, done up tight, shouldn't be any movement

Hi, the standard suspension isn't adjustable .I suspected it can be done but at some extra expense. Thanks for tuning in.
