if you are finding hard putting the strut back into the knuckle. you can first put the strut into the knuckle while it is all diassembled and thiten it up. then someone lifts the whole assembly while another person puts the upper strut nut in place. I tried the method used in the video but it just slipped. this method worked immidiatly and saves you a lot of time. also this is a two person job

salut par hasard tu aurais des conseils pour la remonter? jai du remettre l'ancien amortisseur avec mes nouveau ressorts mais impossible de faire emboiter la suspension.... genre vraiment beaucoup trop serré avec la suspension d'origine. Jai tout essayé... jai mis des clefs pour écarter le cerclage mais meme avec ca et un crique en dessous de la suspension... c'est toujours impossible de faire descendre la suspension dans son socle merci
Does anyone know where can I find that type of hexagonal outer deep socket.? The one used to remove the top mount with the hex in the inside of it to keep the shock absorber from spinning. Thanks for the video anyway.
Can I ask something? On my Citroen c2, I replaced 4 shock absorbers and 4 springs, all of them original KYB, acquired using the original code number, as replacement of original parts. But, why that shock absorber works by gas??? I mean, they are original replacements... so, why they are not like the original Monroe shock absorber (only hydraulic)? ...so, those shock absorber (kyb), has got a too rigid calibration, and my car now is too uncomfortable while driving
my first atempt was to knock out the hub from the strut but the the drive axle got in the way.. so unfortunatily i had to do the same as shown here :( a lot of work for a minute fix... al my other cars the same job was much easier

just done this. compressing the spring to be able fit strut on is an almost trouser filling experience! banana springs are the devil's work!

Does the hub need to come off the driveshaft, or can the hub assembly be pushed down off the end of the strut.??

Regarding the strut.. it's 21 mm for disassemble 2:26 and 22 mm 6:38 for assembling the strut ? :-D
